"The property was so quaint with excellent location. The staff was very accommodating and Katie was a great help with our luggage
We were in the attic bedroom on the highest floor. It was very warm in both bedrooms and all they good give us was one small fan and we had to request that. Two fans are necessary for any comfort."

"As it was once a jail, the walls are thick and built under interesting (challenging) circumstances, which you can learn about. It feels like you are inside a sturdy fortress. The rooms are very well appointed and the bathroom is a highlight, with a waterfall shower and a fabulous bathtub placed on the tiles at the other end of a full length wall mirror. Lux.
Staff were friendly and reserved, very easy to deal with. The restaurant/breakfast room is an old chapel. It’s impressive. Had a lovely quiet stay here, thick walls and the small windows of the cell."
"Lovely stay in an historic farmhouse. Great location for exploring both north and south Cornwall. The attention to detail was outstanding. Lovely breakfast with homemade bread, jam, yogurt and home produced honey. We even enjoyed extras such as Deborah's clotted cream shortbread and flapjacks. Ian provided us with recommendations for places to visit and local knowledge for the best parking spaces."
"Very friendly and supportive hosts. Breakfast was fabulous. The location is close to major tourist sites and the outdoor areas a fabulous for resting and walking."
"The hotel was comfortable and clean, the parking was perfect. The staff were extremely helpful and chatty they went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The on-site restaurant was lovely, the food was excellent.
Location was ideal, near to all the attractions. We found the local pub next door’s very friendly."
"Lovely location, nice room. Good breakfast and nice golf course. Bit pricey for food and drink but overall it’s a lovely place. Didn’t have any big towels in my room which was odd."

Grooms Cottage- Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms plus 2 to 4 dogs depending on size.
8/10 Good
"Overall, we had a good stay and the property was a great base for exploring the area. The property could do with a little TLC in places, and the standard of cleaning could be improved, as there were quite a few cobwebs with dead flys spiders and dust. grubby in areas. Could do with a good thorough clean. One issue we experienced was the number of flies, particularly at meal times. There is a horse stable directly behind the property, so whenever the windows or doors were open, flies quickly became a problem. We ended up buying fly sticky catches. So could do with a uv electric zapper.Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay and found it to be a convenient base for our stay."
