It had a few good qualities
We loved the location and style of condo We were surprised that we didn't have air-conditioning. Since it was a loft condo, the upstairs never cooled off. The box fan did help. Also, we had to call the front desk to get into the garage because the code wouldn't work, they never told us to use the room key to open the garage, although the code worked on the elevator and exiting the garage. Also, they had extra twin bed that was a water bed, which to us is not comfortable. We will not stay here again.

This was a great little studio in the heart of downtown. The building is a bit dated but our room was fantastic. Wood burning fireplace comfortable bed and just a short walk to many restaurants.

It’s downtown so you can walk to wherever you want. You have access to the parking garage which is secure so you don’t have to worry about your vehicle. We will be back.

Cute place near everything
Super cute place right in the heart of Breckenridge! I wasn't sure about booking this place because of the other reviews, but the location and price were perfect. We ended up loving it there and had an amazingly nice stay. Yes, like just about everything in Breckenridge, the place sees to be stuck in the 1990s decor-wise. That was amusing but everything was clean and functional, just dated and a bit worn. The only main complaint was how hot and stuffy it got upstairs in the loft (we were there at the hottest time of the year). Even with the windows and doors wide open to the chilly night air there was no air circulation to the upstairs. A fan would really help. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay. We loved just walking out the door and exploring the town and the abundance of yummy restaurants nearby. Yes you have to check-in and check-out a bit down the road (but they have a 24hr desk which helped with our 5am departure!) - my gps led me to a smoothie shop first so I had to ask for directions. We never got to eat at the restaurant downstairs because the waits were always crazy long (popular place!), so maybe next time. If we return to Breckenridge we will be staying here again.

Hot tub only open from 12-9pm, Expedia did not communicate well that there was a different check in location - it was essentially buried in the fine print at the bottom. Ended up missing the wedding ceremony I flew from Iowa to attend

Great location.
Great location. Check-in is a separate location from hotel, which they tell you. However, the check-in was stated as 505 Main St., which is a outdoor mall. With no other directions, after traveling all day, I was wandering around a mall for 15 minutes trying to call the number provided, which kept giving me a busy signal. Finally, after reaching someone, I was told that there is a 505(a) and a 505(b), and check-in was a bit north of the mall. I originally booked 2 nights, and then decided that we wanted to get to Breck a day early, so booked another day ahead of the 2 already booked. When I did this (a few months ahead of my stay) I called and asked if that would be a problem. Was told no problem since both bookings were for single bed. However, when I checked in, I was told we would have to check out the next day and re-check in. Fun, especially since check-out is at 10AM and check-in isn't until 4PM. For some reason the first day they gave us a 2 bedroom and a loft (4 beds total) and 2 bathroom suite. That room was cozy, nice, with a lodge feel, great views. This was Aug., and there is no AC in the rooms, but there was a nice breeze. The 2nd room was a single, much (much) smaller, only one small mirror above the sink, a bit outdated. Parking was nice; underground, use room key. Did not see anyone use the hot tub; it s in the middle of the courtyard surrounded by rooms and closes at 9PM. Location great, wifi, parking, check-in area inconvenient.

While the property Der Steiermark is good, there are several issues. First, there are no heavy curtains. The morning sun came in through the slates of the window covering. Second, the elevator would not go to the basement parking no matter what we tried. They either need to give clearer directions or fix it. We had to get out on the main level and take the stairs. It would have been nice to have some of the local literature about the area in the room when we arrived instead of going to the visitors center for it.

Several lights out, broken refrigerator handle. Bed is falling apart, mattress is cheap, everything is dated. Bathroom vanity and sink is so thin that the bathroom lights create ambient light in the cabinet below unit was not cleaned well either prior to arrival. Great location, but not pleasant to come back to in the evening.

Great location, not so much on the parking
First off, the condo is perfectly located across from Peak 9 base area and directly behind Main Street. It is easy to walk to the lifts, the restaurants, bars and shops. The inside was nice and clean with plenty of the small amenities you need to include a nice fire place with wood and fire starter. Our one complaint is that we had 2 cars and only one parking spot. Breckenridge offers extended parking fairly close and Wyndham offers a shuttle from that spot. If it’s nice, I would suggest to walk. We waited on the shuttle which was longer than the walk. Also the check in spot is up the street from the condo so it wasn’t very convenient. I would suggest they go to digital locks to create an easier guest checkin/checkout experience.

Beautiful view and great location
Fantastic location with a balcony and a kitchen overlooking the Blue river. It's a block from Main street so the location was great. We parked the car for two days and could walk anywhere we wanted to go. I was surprised with how nice it was and the price was great. Please note that housekeeping isn't included, but this wasn't a problem for us. Thanks!

Only down fault where to pick up key and how to get to your room. Not explained well enough. Great shuttle. No air conditioning. Other then that it is a nice place.

I had the studio, room 108. It is supposed to sleep 4. It is no bigger than my master bedroom at home. The bed was comfortable, but this place is old, the carpet is dirty. I had to move furniture so that I could walk around. There is NO air-conditioning or fans, not even a window that opens! If you want any type of airflow, you have to leave your balcony door open, which I did with some trepidation as I slept at night. The hotel is conveniently located and a shuttle runs about every 20 minutes. Parking is limited to one car per party, no many how many are in your group. Surprise: They also require a $100+ damage deposit when you check in., and hold it for 3-5 days.

Great location
First of all, check in is at Wyndham resorts at 505D on Main street. Our condo, #108, was clean and had supplies you would need if you were staying there for awhile (kitchenette, coffee maker (coffee supply to make 1 cup only), 2 burners stove-top, dorm-size refrigerator, dishwasher and a large microwave. The bed should have been replaced YEARS ago! It's very soft. The pillows were not very comfortable either. It looks like the kitchenette was updated recently. There is no air conditioning. I realize that it is not needed much, but this past week was hot (90's) and the condo was very stuffy. There was a box fan and we were told to open the windows, but even with the windows open and temps getting down to the 50's, the air just didn't circulate enough and didn't cool the condo down much. The location is excellent!

Great location, affordable price, but rough...
The location of the facility is great (close to restaurants and bars and easy access to main roads). The actual room had good amenities (full kitchen w/ dishes, utensils, etc.; cable, dvd player, etc.; board games...), but the condition was pretty rough. The carpet was very old, stained, and dirty. Some of the wood beams and walls are cracking and deteriorating, which gave an old and dirty feel. The shower head offered very limited water coverage. Overall, my unit fit my needs for the weekend, close proximity to my events, but I would not return with my family. If you are just looking for convenience at affordable rates, I would recommend this unit. If you are looking for a little more comfort and/or luxury, I would recommend paying extra for a different facility.

We had very friendly staff at the hotel. The hotel bathroom had mold above the shower. The room was so hot we had the thermostat on low and had to keep the door open. Thankfully there was a small portable Fan, we used that as well. It is, however, in a good location. Our first experience staying here last year was much better.

Very unhappy with hotel. Took 20 minutes looking for place to register. About a 1/4 mile away in another hotel. Room was very low lit that we couldn't read in bed. Could not get TV to work. Phone did not work to call front desk for help. Too far to walk to front desk so we just gave up. Room as old and shoddy looking. Nice kitchenette facilities though.

The only problem was the check in process. It was not clearly explained and you have to check in at a different location. Also, accessing the garage. One of the keys given is for that but we were not told. Just had to figure it out. As well as the fact there is no AC. Which in Breck is not a problem. Would've just been nice to know. There's no communication about any of this when you check in. Assuming you figure out how to do that.

Location was unbeatable. The balcony overlooking the lake and the creek running by were perfect to wake up to. The room looked newly renovated and free parking was a plus! Unfortunately they had some issue with the plumbing in the entire building so they moved us to Main Street Station. They were very helpful and accommodating but their "comparable" room was a huge downgrade. I would absolutely go back to Der Steiermark.

Stayed one night for business. Hotels.com did not tell me that I had to drive up to the Hyatt hotel to check in, and to return the key the next day. This information would have made the experience much better! The room is good size and spacious. The bed was very hard, the sofa was stained, and the room smelled musty,

The photos represented in the expedia add are not accurate. They display a moderm condo with modern furnishings. Our facilities were at least 20 years old with old frayed carpet, old bedding and old furnishings. The showers were also old and stained. The room we got was nothing like the photo so be cautious of that.

Quick Ski Weekend for Two
Garage parking was included in our stay. The location is great, easy walk to main street and Peak 9. You can take the elevator to Mi Casa, a nice little Mexican food restaurant. The halls are a little rough but the rooms are updated. We had a studio with one bed, kitchen, balcony, and small iving space. It was perfect for two people taking a quick ski weekend.

Condo with a loft
We stayed at the Dersteinmark condos (not the hotel). The condo was extremely outdated. It was dirty and the linen smelled. The living room set-up was awkward. Couch, living room chair and the bed in the loft were all very uncomfortable. There was a skylight in the loft where the bed was located. Too much light so we slept in the pullout which was very uncomfortable. Wouldn't stay in this unit again.

Hotel close to peak 9
Was my first time to Breck, but had friends that go often with us and we all loved it. Place was great, hot tub right after slopes, plenty of room, and right downtown! Walked in gear to Peak 9. Perfect location only wish we could have stayed longer.
