Great place in a tranquil setting
The directions to the location are spot on, and the farmhouse is set in a beautiful area, away from everyone, great views of hills and horses etc. The house itself is extremely spacious, well-equipped and even has working wifi! Would highly recommend if you want a trip to this area as it's a fantastic base for various activities.

Beautiful farmhouse
I've just returned from a 4-night stay in this beautiful farmhouse. The property was very characterful and perfect for the 5 of us. Spotlessly clean, well-equipped and with the most stunning views. In a very quiet, isolated spot but with good access to lots of interesting activities, walks and places to visit. I would just point out that both showers are over baths, and not easy for anyone with mobility issues. This is a great property for a family gathering and the owners were very responsive to questions or queries. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wonderful Welsh Holiday
A big and cosy farmhouse in a stunning location. We thoroughly loved our time here. Walks in the beautifully green patchwork countryside and sheep everywhere. It’s central to many activities. We went boating and kayaking, to the Big Pit coal mine. There’s caving and even a whiskey distillery to visit. Steve and Beverley are helpful and friendly hosts and gave us many good tips.

Postcard perfect property, attentive host
This property is the ideal location for a trip to the Brecon Beacons region. Beautiful converted farmhouse with wildflowers, sheep and views for days. Well situated for local adventures but tempting to just sit and enjoy this property with its jaw dropping views. Well stocked and suitable for a larger party. The host was incredibly gracious, responsive and proactive in responding to our needs before and during our stay. Could not have enjoyed our Brecon Beacons holiday more thanks to our stay here. Book without regrets!

Great for families and location
It was a great premises for 2 families for the weekend in a lovely peaceful part of the world. Guidance and support from Steve was really helpful. Especially loved the upstairs conservatory and the kids had a wonderful time playing in the large garden.

A lovely weekend in the country
This is a fantastic house if you want a remote stay in a beautiful location, it has every mod con and is perfect for a group of 5 (singletons) or 5 couples, maybe 2-3 couples with kids. Steve answered everything promptly and have great advice on the local area. The kitchen and attached dining room became a focal point for us, a beautiful space then retiring to the larger living room and a roaring fire. An award winning CAMRA pub, the royal oak is a 20min walk away, good food and very welcoming. Only thing to be aware of is the steep and bumpy roads leading up to the cottage, flat bottomed cars will struggle. All in all, a fantastic weekend and we thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Perfection! Wish we'd stayed a month.
The gracious host allowed us to come in a night early due to a snag in our Cardiff plans, and we were delighted once we arrived! The Cornwall Farmhouse has the most amazing kitchen EVER and not to cook in it is simply not an option; there are markets 15 min up in the town of Brecon. The sunroom is spectacular with views of Kites and crows, sheep in the fields, rain and sun, and a daily rainbow over the village of Pencelli. The kids loved playing in the sunroom, the yard, and reading the Beano books! The bedding was divine: wool duvets with soft covers. And, water bottles in adorable animal covers for all! The fireplace was well stocked and every room more cozy than the next. When the power went out, the host called and walked us through the fuses to reset, then helped me negotiate the washing machine (ha!). Communication was outstanding. The host suggested places to visit (we loved Raglan Castle and the National Welsh Wool Museum!) and eat (the Royal Oak is lovely). It is walkable to the village, but it was too wet the Spring we visited and the mud was legendary (we didn't bring Wellies). I appreciated the mudroom and we didn't let shoes in the house. While there are some 'instructions' for hot water and starting the stove, the host was available for questions and everything worked perfectly. My husband asked if we could just make an offer and move in!! Beyond our expectations in all ways. We will certainly return. Loved it in every way.

Fantastic location and beautiful home
From start to finish our stay at Cornwall cottage was wonderful. Steve thought of everything we would need to know and put it in an email a few weeks before we were due to arrive. On arrival to the cottage we were instantly impressed. The location was perfect. Once inside the kids and adults loved exploring the beautiful home. The photos on the website do not do the house justice. The house was extremely clean and warm. The house was equipped with pretty much everything you would need. So thank you so much Steve and Bev for the extra bit and pieces. There was ten of us staying and we all had so much room, but was still very cozy. We loved the open fire. We also loved the walk to the pub and the local pub it self was very inviting and friendly. The walk back from the pub with our torches was fun for us all. Can’t praise this cottage enough. We hope to return some day. Thank you again 😊

Lovely farmhouse. Great for our family gatherings
We had a great time, great views. Lovely walks along the canal to Brecon, Pencelli and Talybont. Property owners were very quick to respond with questions. There is about a mile of single track road from Pencelli to farmhouse, but not too difficult to navigate. The Royal Oak Pub in Pencelli is excellent.

Perfect rural home from home
Steve and Beverly were wonderful hosts, very accommodating and made me feel at ease immediately. We weee very impressed with the equipment available and we were wanting for nothing when cooking and eating in the farmhouse. Beds were fantastic and the wifi for such a remote location was very good. We’ll be very keen to return in future!

Lovely cottage, great location
The cottage was really well equipped and spotless. Very comfortable with loads of space. Beds were great, heating was good and lots of logs for the open fire provided. Owners were really good giving info and communicative. Really good walking from the door and only a short distance for more fabulous walking. The beacons are great but the area offers much more. Would definitely stay again

An Ideal , Remote Family Retreat...........
This Farmhouse was a well equipped relaxing , comfortable and peaceful property in which to spend time with Family. The Host was extremely attentive and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. The local public house in the village The Royal Oak was less than a mile away and provided an excellent Sunday lunch and is well recommended. The property description and location details were excellent with plenty of parking which proved to be most helpful..
