This cabin has slits in the flooring, no Cleaning supplies , dvd didnt work, roof leaked in the bedroom. Several other "patched" areas with tapeinstead of properly fixed.

Property not like the picture. Outside furniture had not been cleaned. Inside smell was soooo strong! I think they were trying to cover up cigarette smell. We were there for a wedding on Saturday evening, we went for breakfast Saturday morning and when we returned, no water! The kicker was a temp repair had been made earlier in the week. They decided to fix it on a day it was rented. We had to pack our wedding attire and go to the house my daughter had rented to shower and get ready. I contacted rental business and was refunded $69.23. Wow

Great quiet weekend!

Anniversary weekend.
Cabin was very clean and the private location was great. Everything as expected. Be advised there is no central heat and air. Took a little while for the space heaters to warm the place up. But that wasn’t an issue for us.

When you stated the cabin had a heater I guess I should have taken you literally. There was one small electric heater in the sitting area. There was no heat source in the bedroom or bathroom. Apparently at one time there was a ceiling heater in the bathroom, but it had been uninstalled/disconnected. If we had not taken two small electric heaters we would have been miserable. I called about 45 minutes before arrival and was told the heat had been turned in. When we arrived the interior temperature of the cabin was 48 degrees. There were extra blankets in the bedroom closet, but there was a sign there stating access by tenants to the closet was not permitted. The DVD player did not work. I did have to call after hours to find out how to turn on the TV. Someone did answer promptly and was helpful and courteous. I would suggest posted instructions to operate the TV and DVD player. The unit was furnished and decorated adequately. Instructions requested before departure to take all trash to the dumpster, wash all dishes and wash all towels. There was hardly enough laundry detergent to wash a small load. We did not mind leaving things in good order (as we should), but then why did we have to pay as much as we did for a cleaning fee? The Beavers Bend area is an attractive destination. We strongly believe that if the unit is going to be rented out in cold weather that drastic improvements need to be made. Lastly, if I was entitled to a special rate as a military retiree (over 30 years of service), why wasn’t that made clear on the website?

Great get-away
The cabin was exactly as described. Perfect for 1-2 people, the inside was very clean and comfortable. The cabin has everything needed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Would have spent more time on the wrap-around porch if the string lights were working and the cushions a little cleaner. Other than that, it was perfect. Would definitely return. Thanks!

Our only issue was how cold the living room was since the weather was colder. The bedroom was fine with its heater. We could not get the little duraflame unit in living room to put out heat. It didn’t even come on for a long time until we unplugged and replugged. And then it kept shutting off almost immediately. I found another heater in bedroom closet when pulling out blankets. After this we warmed up. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the proximity to the river and state park. The fog on our second morning made for some great photography.

Cute Hideaway
I enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was the perfect size for me and my dog. It was clean inside and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I slept late while i was there.. I would have utilized the porch more if the rope lights were working and the furniture outside was cleaner. I did leave early, but only because the weather was supposed to get bad and my phone did not work in the area (Which was nice most of the time). I would stay in one of your cabins again.

Beautiful and quiet location
The directions listed from the property management were accurate whereas Google had us off by two houses. The roads leading up to the property were in terrible condition so that was a negative. Upon arrival to the cabin, we lovved the fact of the wrap around porch on the front and side of the cabin. Would use the porch all weekend long from cookout to just sitting out at night time listening to The crickets sitting out listening to the rain that fell early Sunday morning. It was a great location and we had a wonderful time. It was a 10 minute drive to the lake if that. The gas burner side of the grill was in terrible condition so we use a charcoal side and it was great. The cabin could have been a little bit cleaner but all in all great location great little cabin for a weekend getaway. We would definitely do it again

Sub Par Customer Service (not to mention roaches)
Upon arrival around 5 pm 7/14/2021 for our five day stay at the Briar Creek Cabin, everything was as it was represented in the listing. First impressions were good, although the cabin was a little dated, but no big deal, it’s a cabin. We unpacked everything and went to explore the area and to find some dinner around 6:30pm. We arrived back at the cabin around 8pm and proceeded to shower and to watch some tv before getting ready for bed. As we started getting ready for bed, we began to see roaches in the bedroom. Not wood roaches or water bugs, but nasty German roaches. One alive on the night stand, two climbing the walls behind the bed, and one or two in the closet and three or four dead ones. My wife is deathly afraid of roaches, so we were out of there. Before leaving at 11:30 pm, my wife texted the listed number on VRBO, but have yet to receive a response. I reached out to “customer service” the next day and explained our situation and wanted to see about some sort of refund. I was willing to pay for one night and the required cleaning fee but because we had to come out of pocket again for other lodging for the remainder of our stay, I thought it was fair to be reimbursed. We were told “ we could have done something if we would have been told before y’all left” (refer back to the text earlier explaining our situation). Then we were told that the property owner walked through the cabin and didn’t see anything other than dead ones. Then we were told that the pest control company came out and inspected but didn’t see any roaches or evidence of roaches. It became apparent to me after three separate phone conversations and one unanswered text message that Kiamichi Cabins are not willing to treat their customers right, so I wanted to get the word out to hopefully prevent someone else from having to endure the same thing. The rest of the trip was fine but we will never stay with Kiamichi Cabins again. Renter beware!!

Great lil Cabin
It was a great cabin for a couple or a small family. Loved the front porch!!! The cabin was clean and tidy. Had everything I could have needed for cooking and serving meals. The host were attentive and answered my questions right away. I would definitely stay there again.

Although the cabin was in a neighborhood, its location provided a lot of privacy. The large porch provided ample space to enjoy nature even during inclement weather. It is also close to attractions in Hochatown and entrances to Beavers Bend Park.

We enjoyed our stay in this cute cabin, it was just perfect for a weekend getaway. It has all the essentials, but if you’re planning on cooking your meals, take your spices, oil, foil etc. This place is great, they have addressed issues in previous reviews, the only thing I would recommend to owners is maybe a washable shower curtain, to avoid mold on plastic ones.

We were delighted with how quiet and private this cabin was, far from 259 noise, and easy access to park and trails. Management responded quickly regarding problems with shower vs bath knob, but still needs to be resolved. Spent most of our cabin time for our 40th anniversary on the wrap around porch. We’ll be back!

Cute, but older cabin
This is a cute cabin, but is in need of Several small repairs. First thing you see when you walk in is that the Flooring is torn in living area, the Formica on the kitchen counters are ripped off and missing, the refrigerator rusted and the handle is broken. This is all minor stuff that could easily be repaired and make this cabin what it should be. More repairs are also needed in the bed and bathroom. Otherwise it is a great location, surrounded with beautiful trees.

Could have been a little cleaner!
The important things were clean....the kitchen, the bed, the bathroom....but the cabin over all could use a really good deep cleaning. There were lots of corners & under sides of things that were nasty. The tile in the bedroom was loose & needed the grout replaced & all of the knobs in the shower need to be reattached, they kept falling off in our hands!!! Overall it was a pretty decent place to stay.

Cute Little Cabin
Cute little cabin in a great location. Easy to get to the state park and to Hochatown. Bed was comfortable and bathroom really nice. Tile in the bedroom is falling apart and the fridge needs a good cleaning.
