High School Fishing Tournament
The cabin was lovely! Was only able to take about a 2-5 minute shower due to the hot water tank not keeping up. The cleanliness of the cabin was not to our liking though. The floors had dirt, and food crumbs on them. They did not look like they had been mopped in awhile, and the beddings did not appear to be washed. Other than the tankless water heaters not keeping up (with 1 person showering at a time) and the lack of the cabin being thoroughly cleaned, it was a very nice place to stay!

SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!
2 day stay of rest and relaxation. This house is HUGE ! Extremely clean and lavishly decorated! We had more than enough room for 10 people. Each room has privacy wings, there is a game room , hot tub , fire pit etc….James was an amazing host who offered us a discounted extra night and extended checkout time! One of our top 5 VRBO stays!! There is a grocery/liquor store within 1000 ft yet you still feel secluded . Easy check in and out! We will always choose this cabin when we are in the area! Way to go Windmill LODGE! This is how it’s done!!

Birthday Weekend
We rented this cabin for my birthday weekend. Since we were going to have a few older attendees we were wanting a one-story cabin that still had enough rooms and space for our group to spread out and not feel cramped. This cabin checked all those boxes and more. It is well designed and offers so many amenities to occupy all ages for the whole weekend. The cabin owners were available to us all weekend and very responsive to all our questions. We can’t wait to book another weekend!

Perfect for a big family gathering
This was our Christmas gift to our grown children (and grandchildren). We got away the week after Christmas to New Year’s Day. I especially liked that no one had to sleep on a pull out couch! Everyone had a room. The gathering areas were wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, game room, and living room. We used the small breakfast nook for our puzzles! The kitchen was well equipped. We liked the special touches—Christmas decor, s’more kits, and blankets. We also liked walking to the little market.

Great Family Gathering Setup
This is a great house for a family to gather. We had 6 adults and 5 children. There is so much space to spread out and to be together - whatever we needed! Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom along with multiple options for the kid’s sleeping arrangements. The game room was a big hit as well as all the outdoor space. It was perfect for our Thanksgiving celebration.

Annual Family (Sibling) Gathering
Large, spacious property. Especially loved the fact that property is one story. Lots of “usable” space for cooking, reading, puzzles/game, visiting or even quiet time for one’s self. We recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic cabin over the weekend and I must say it was a family reunion to remember! Unloading our luggage was a breeze thanks to the garage-style door openings in the game room. We were able to quickly unload our mountain of belongings (14 people tend to bring a lot of stuff, as it turns out). It's like this cabin was designed by someone who knows the secret to achieving ultimate relaxation. The hot tub, the coffee makers, the pool table - were all stars of the show. And the oversized XL firepit was so huge, that we almost considered roasting marshmallows from the comfort of the hot tub. The seclusion of this cabin is a game-changer. Unlike other cabins in the area that are practically on top of each other, this one had an acre of backyard space for all of our family reunion activities. Ultimately, every inch of this cabin was beautiful and perfect for creating beautiful memories. Big thanks to the host for being available all weekend to answer our endless questions. It's safe to say that our family reunion turned into an unforgettable adventure thanks to this cabin and its perfect blend of coziness and convenience. If you're in the mood for a cabin getaway with a dash of extra-awesome, this is the cabin for you! Thanks for the memories Windmill Lodge!

Only place I’ll ever stay from now on
I cannot say enough how wonderful our stay was. The house is immaculate and beautifully done. They owners have thought of everything. And James was so informative and helpful. The location is the best! There is a great little market within walking distance that has everything you need for a weekend stay. But the property is still very private. The fire pit was lovely and we made s’mores and told scary stories every night. The game room was awesome as well. My kids had a blast, and so did the dog. We had 9 people in our group and there were still extra bedrooms. We cannot wait to come back and stay longer. It’s our new favorite place!

This house is amazing. We had 5 adults and 5 kids and had plenty of room. The game room/kids bedroom was great. The kids loved it. With all the games available we always had something to do. If we come back to Broken Bow we will definitely stay here again!

70th birthday
The house was beautiful. It was absolutely perfect for our family of adult children and the grandkids. Location was perfect within walking distance of an (expensive) market. I rated cleanliness low because of the construction trash on the outside of the house. The host was available and made up for the construction inconvenience.

Good Location in Hochatown
Large house, plenty of seating in living room to have movie nights. Beds are comfortable. Towels were plentiful and really appreciate the beach towels. Still a work in progress in parts of this renovated house, but host is working to get it all right. It was a good location for our family of 11.

Friends Getaway
Our group consisted of four teenagers, one 7 year old and nine adults, one in a wheelchair. The accessibility was very high. There was a ramp to get in the door, the rooms are all on one floor and the shower is a roll in shower with a handheld. There was ample amount of room to accommodate everyone in our group. We like to play a lot of board games and the three huge tables in the dining room and the circle table in the game room were perfect for this. We would absolutely love to stay here again.

Perfect large family getaway
We stayed at the windmill lodge, and it was beyond perfect, all families had their own wing of the house, and the children even had their own little place. Lots of things to do and enough space to where there’s always a quiet place somewhere.

Great Family Getaway
Our family gathered here for a 4 night visit to the Hochatown/Broken Bow Area. Windmill Lodge was awesome! It was in a great location, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed many great meals, smores around the fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub, playing table tennis and countless challenges for a game of pool. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house ensured privacy for everyone. We kayaked on the lake and river, hiked and spent many hours filled with memories, fun and laughter. From initial inquiry about the home, through the booking process, arrival and during our entire stay Kristin was always quick to respond and went above and beyond in order to make our vacation a comfortable, memorable and enjoyable experience.

Windmill Lodge is the perfect place for our entire family to stay together. Plenty of space.
Our extended family likes to visit Hochatown every year. Windmill Lodge has been the perfect place to stay the last two years. We have plenty of space for fellowship with one another, but also our own private spaces for bed.

Loved the house and all the amenities!! Planning next year's stay already! FYI - the sink in the bathroom of the bedroom with the porch swing leaks some. I wiped up water a couple of times. Sure would hate to see that beautiful stand ruined.

I must start out by saying the pictures do not do this cabin justice. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The game room was awesome. There were tons of board games in a different location. The bedrooms were in separate locations except the bunk bedroom and the queen bedroom. All of The bedrooms were nice. I loved the bathrooms. The internet worked wonderfully. Kristin answered the few questions and I had quickly. She even had someone to bring us extra towels. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cooking items and utensils. If you are considering this cabin for your trip, you should just book it. You won’t regret it!!!

We have vacationed in the Broken Bow area for 13 years and this cabin was a hit with my group. The property manager was very responsive and communicated well with me. The layout is great for several family members or separate groups to stay together. Game room was a hit, and we had a pool tournament. The location was easy to find and well maintained.

This was a new Mother's Day tradition for our family since we lost my son. Kristin was super sweet, understanding, went out of her way to make sure our time was memorial, and even had flowers delivered for me to the house! She is so thoughtful and an awesome host. The house is amazing. I love how each king suite/bath is spread out into it's own end of the house for privacy. The house is so large and has plenty of room for everyone. The garage has been converted to a game room with a big variety of games that gives everyone something to do. The house is in a great location and decorated so nicely with plenty of towels and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. There is just absolutely nothing bad to say about this house or host!! Her kindness is above and beyond.

Such a beautiful place with so much to do at the Cabin alone!
The cabin offered so much privacy and yet some community! We had 6 different sets of people and everyone was able to have their own sleeping spaces with privacy! The hot tub was very relaxing and we played so much corn hole and ping pong! We had plenty of firewood to keep a fire going for 2 days and probably even more! The hosts were great as well!!!! We would definitely go back!!

Beautiful Cabin
We had such a great time at this cabin! We all enjoyed the games, pool table, hot tub, fire pit so so so much! So beautiful and lots of soft blankets. Only took off a star because the master bathroom's jet tub didn't have a plug that fit and the jets didn't work. We didn't have a full take of propane (which the owner quickly corrected for us so we could finish bbqing). The only other thing was there was a few light broken outside which made being outside at night a little tricky with the porch steps and such. Overall we loved it and had a wonderful time!

The cabin has plenty of room for four families. The bedrooms are spread out and there is a huge living/dining room. The kids loved the game room and pool table. Tons of shelves in the laundry room for food/supplies, large yard, lots of parking, and plenty of dining room seating made it extra nice for our large group. We will definitely be back!

We had three families stay here from the obvious adults, to teenagers, to toddlers and it was perfect! Everyone has their own separate area including the kids. There's adequate kitchen items, beds were comfortable and separate living/game areas in case you need to put the little ones to sleep early but the adults and teens want to stay up. The hot tub is a nice bonus and the yard is nestled so that you really can't see your neighbors. We brought our own fire wood but they are so thoughtful they leave a bundle for you. They do have Wi-Fi but it's spotty in some parts of the house. They have extenders but I don't think they're configured properly. Which is honestly a quick easy thing to fix and did not impact our stay or comfort. The only thing I will say about the separate wings is choose carefully. There's one room right off the living room so you would be able to hear people in there, one room off the game room which seems tempting but you can hear the crash of the pool table and people playing games in the garage and the air flow is so/so and there's one room all the way at the back which is the quietist but if you have small children you can't hear them from there. There were multiple fans in the wings which did help to add to your comfort. Would definitely stay again! Thanks for a great cabin!

AMAZINGLY SPACIOUS AND PERFECT!
The windmill lodge was FABULOUS!! We had the BEST time celebrating a 40th birthday! The house is very spread out so even with multiple families you will each feel like you have your own space. We were worried we would feel claustrophobic because the weather forecast wasn't promising but we did not feel like that AT ALL! So much to do at the house and the location is perfect! Will definitely be back!

Hi Paula, I am so sorry to hear about the glass, I would have had someone out there immediately had I known it was there. As soon as I read your review someone was out there that day walking the property and picking up any glass, again I am sorry about that, I a not sure how that was missed. As far as the road, it is not necessarily always busy but the start park is less than a mile from the cabin and that road goes to the park. Perfect for Family Trip!
This property is beautiful, peaceful and absolutely perfect for our family group....rooms are spread out so everyone could have their privacy but the common areas are large enough to hang out together. The property owners were very responsive to any inquiry and I would most definitely book this again.
