“We stayed for two nights in June 2026, our hosts were waiting to greet us even though we were 3 hours later than our ETA. From that moment to when we left they treated us like we had known each other for many years, a truly unique experience. The breakfast and the homemade cake was simply superb. If we ever need accommodation in the area again we would not hesitate to stay with Jackie and Rob at the White Cottage in Trysull, Staffs.”

“We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient. Just a couple of minus points:- The room door could only be opened with the key -……

Our room overlooked the beautiful garden at the back of the property, adjacent to private car parking, and a gentle stroll down to the town. We plan to stay again, truly a delightful experience.”

I was in Shrewbury for a Triathlon, and had to be taken to hospital. The host took in my bike from UK Triathlon who delivered it to help me. Breakfast was brililant. And the room was MASSIVE. “Bar and breakfast rooms were great..clean room..however we were given top floor room with four flights of stairs.. room too small for a double with very uneven floor.. Room was very hot window only opened six inches not much air coming in.fan provided was useless.. didn’t get much sleep as we were hot sticky and itratible..not going back.this was not in the heatwave.. the following weekend ..”
