Nice house but the air conditioner could be improved and the extra electric charge
We enjoyed most of the amenities of this home. The pool is wonderful and the location is very convenient. The home is kept very clean and was well stocked with all kinds of amenities in the kitchen. A couple issues I would point out with this location are the air conditioning, which did not keep the home at a comfortable temperature. The instructions stated that the temperature could not be turned below 75° but the temperature for the most part was over 80° in the house and this made it uncomfortable to sleep at night. The other issue I would point out is the extra electric bill you’ll get at the end of your stay. Seems to me that the electricity should be part of the owners responsibilities as the pool and air-conditioning run nonstop whether someone is in the house or not. Overall, this is a very nice house, but I didn’t enjoy the surprise of the bill for electricity at the end of my stay.

Beautiful property, great location
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for a fun vacation stay. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. The pool area is especially nice with a covered area for relaxing or eating. There is also a dock with chairs if you prefer to sit by the water. The house is located on a lovely and quiet street and very convenient to the midpoint bridge to Ft Myers. The host was very gracious and we had no problems. We hope to return for another stay.

Great home and location
A beautiful home within walking distance to a 4 mile nature park reserve. Great size pool and jacuzzi where the renters can control the temperatures of both. 2 King beds and 1 queen accommodates guests comfortably. A binder of instructions helped us enjoy a comfortable stay. The boat dock was the perfect addition since we pulled our boat there. A nice 15 minute “no wake” ride through the canal got us right into the sparkling waters of Florida. We had dolphins riding within 50 feet of the boat and caught all kinds of fish (the puffer fish was the best catch since we are used to fresh water fish in Michigan). We will definitely rent this home again.

It is a beautiful house
We enjoyed our stay. However, we were charged $90 for the grill to be cleaned and for the propane. Even though we did not use the grill during our stay. We were told the owner had been there, so the grill should be clean. If you rent this property make sure to take a picture of the grill upon check-in and check-out; especially if you do not plan on using it. Also, we were only left with partial rolls of paper towel and toilet paper. There was no replacement rolls. We left full rolls of each for the next quests.

The property is very nice, very open and spacious...location is great, you are convenient to shopping, restaurants and just a short drive to Ft Meyers Beach and Sanibel Island which are both beautiful...we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the outdoor lanai in the evenings and the sunsets on the canal are beautiful...check in was super easy and instructions are left by the property manager for you...my only small complaint is the a/c not being able to go below 75 bcs it was mid 90's and very muggy, we were gone during the day but sleeping at night we did wish it could've been a bit cooler and I like to fall asleep to tv so not having cable in the master bedroom was a little bummer but all in all we had an awesome time and we would definitely return 😊

The area was safe but mature. neighbors were friendly. appliances are very tired. The home needs much needed tender loving care and attention to the dock that has some dry rot. Pool itself was good, heater was good, patio stones need leveling and pool light is burnt out. read all comments and reviews, as they accurately reflect this home.

House was clean upon arrival. Wish the vacuum had worked properly. Had to buy a mop and swifter wet jet to keep house clean during our stay. Nice selection of pots and pans for cooking. Also a nice selection of dishes. Mattress in master had just the right firmness for our stay. Very comfortable. The television setup left a lot to be desired. Could not stay logged in on Apple ID television. Bedrooms were on antennas. Master got ABC and Me tv had to go into another bedroom to watch NBC FOX and CBS. The property manager did mention that the owner had not been there in two years due to COVID which explains some of issues not yet taken care of. The patio and pool were very nice. Hot tub was a great addition. House located in a nice neighborhood. We would stay here again.

The check in process was a little strenuous. We received an e-mail during Christmas that we would not be able to check in until 2 hours after the specified time with absolutely no flexibility. This was due to extended time for cleaning, but the check out process has you washing all the towels, doing all the dishes, etc. Besides these issues, the house layout was beautiful and we really enjoyed our time in the pool and jacuzzi. There was more than enough room for my family of 4, with a dock, hammock, and 3 bedrooms which were all well laid out. Larry, the property manager was also very responsive and his instructions on how the pool worked were clear, avoiding any issues during our stay.

The property had very poor tv available, no satillite or cable. Also allowed very little for electricity for six people to be staying in house, we had to pay extra at the end. Kitchen was poorly equipped for cooking and pool was hard to operate!

For making you feel at home we provide Apple TV for your convenience. Cable TV is also available. The amount of channels is differently important for each of our guests. Included electricity is established practice at the moment. Our property management explains and shows how to use the pool equipment within the check-in. For your later convenience, it is also explained in detail in our information binder including pictures of all steps so you feel comfortable using it if you are new to handling pool equipment.

We had a very good stay
Overall we are very pleased with the house. The layout was nice with the master suite separated on one side of the house and the other bedrooms to the other side. The house was clean and well stocked with everything you need. Good location with stores nearby. However I am taking one star off as the AC could not go below 75F which made the house bit warm in 85F degree weather. Also, the pool area definitely needs powerwashing as there is dirt on the tile that gets carried into the water. The bbq tray was not cleaned before us so we did not use it but the smell that was coming from it from the meats cooked before us was constantly drawing our dog's attention. Putting up black out curtains would also be a nice touch for people trying to get some sleep while on vacation. Overall very nice but could be better if the owners put a little more into getting an AC that could go below 75F and few other touches.

Great location. Property manager Larry was great. As others mentioned, the property is showing it’s age. Uneven pavers in the pool area were a hazard, weeds in pavers, etc as others have mentioned. No Apple TV remote and local channels were not getting good reception. The dock has rotted wood so be careful out there! This property could be much nicer with the small issues resolved. Overall we had a great time.

Nice house but needs a bit of maintenance and cleaning.
Nice property except the pool was never cleaned (only added chlorine) one time two days after we arrived for a two week stay. Bedding (sheets and towels) and furniture needs updating. Screens at pool were torn in several places letting bugs into pool area. Mold growing on outdoor ceiling fans and weeds growing in pool bricks as well as uneven bricks causing a tripping hazard. Grass was never cut during our stay. Had a great time but have to overlook minor maintenance issues. Told boat was broken and unavailable.

Weather-Worn but great place
This was our second stay here. The property is weather worn (some rotten boards on the deck, bricks that are lose and out around pool steps, fridge lines never flushed, old linens, sheets and very old spring mattresses) but wonderful. Our only issue was with the property manager who lied to the owner of the property and caused some issues and back and forth between the two of us. Once we provided documentation to prove that everything that was stated by the property manager was incorrect and in fact a lie we had no issues. The property owner worked with us to make sure everything was sorted. A good thing to note though is that the property manager is German so English is not their first language. Although they were a good communicator the word choices often come off as very brash and rude in all of their communication as well as their manual that they leave at the residence and their website. I do not think this reflects their demeanor or their personality I think this is just an issue with language communication.

Home Away From Home
This property is great. Although it was just my partner and me, I booked a house with 3 bedrooms and two baths in case friends and family that live in Cape Coral and Ft Myers wanted to stay with us. It is a perfectly sized home and is laid out well with the master separated from the other areas. I am a neat/clean freak and this house was absolutely spotless! It is in a very nice and well maintained neighborhood, close to shopping areas and great restaurants. You can get to the river and out to Captiva Island via the canal on which this house sits. It is a few turns from the river so not miles to "no-wake" motor out to the bay. The kitchen and house are very well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. As a cook and planning to cook several large meals for company, I took my own knives, cutting board and a few other items including my own juicer. NO Need! The kitchen had a juicer and a Keurig along with a full brew coffee pot. Might bring your own baking pans if you intend to do any baking or cooking requiring a baking pan. Plenty of nice every day dinner ware and glasses, atypical of a rental home. I also did not need to bring all of my aluminum foil, dish detergent, etc., as everything was in the kitchen. I did use my own items as I brought them but confirm with the host that is all supplied. Again, this is a fully stocked kitchen and home. The only negative comment I have is that although I could tolerate the max 75 degrees on the air conditioner setting, it would be difficult for those who are accustomed to a colder house. I did struggle with getting cooled off in the house after being outside all day on the last full day of our stay. Keep the blinds closed to help keep the house cool. In talking with "Larry" the property manager (he was also great), I understood someone was coming to look at the HVAC unit on the day we left. I loved the screened in pool/patio area and enjoyed sitting on the dock at the canal. The pool was exceptionally clean (like the rest of the house and grounds around it). I will absolutely rent this house again! We have family and friends in the Fort Myers and Cape Coral area so we are planning to go back in October, maybe even stay a month next winter.

We enjoyed our month-long stay at Villa Magnolia. The location is a quiet street but still very near shopping, groceries and other services. The Four Mile Eco Preserve is within walking distance and our dog loved the daily hikes along the edge of the preserve. Just a block away a family of burrowing owls made for another dog-walking destination. The house was clean but is showing its age in Florida’s difficult maintenance environment. We spent most of our time in and around the pool which provided comfort from the above-average temperatures and humidity during our stay. Most of our meals were taken on the lanai, watching for activity on the canal. We didn’t rent the boat on this visit. The house is large and well equipped. Everything we needed was provided and worked as it should. The kitchen was very well equipped and stocked. The master bedroom and bath are very nice. The living room TV offered only digital channels but we were able to sign in to our streaming networks using the provided Apple TV. The four-panel glass patio doors offer a panoramic view to the west over the lanai and pool. We had to close the blinds in the afternoon trying to block the sun from heating the living room. Overall nice house Well appointed furnishings and amenities. House was clean. House was warm. Directions stated that the house thermostat couldn’t be set below 75. Even with the thermostat set to 75 the house was 79 degreees. This is something I had never experienced in another rental. Thankfully our last day cooled down so we could open the patio door. TVS had poor reception in the bedrooms and limited stations in the living room. Property manager Larry had great communication and was nice to work with.

Perfect Oasis in Cape Coral
The layout of this home is great! Its dominating feature is a very large four-panel set of sliding window panels that open across the living area to a screened lanai with an outdoor dining area that is poolside; the pool has an attached spa with an opening that overflows into the pool below, creating the calming sound of water cascading over the edge. The outside and the inside merge into a perfect living space: it’s really quite a nice oasis from the world. (Caveat: We could enjoy this because the weather cooperated and was quite cool outside by Florida standards. For us the weather was just perfect being 70s daytime and cooler at night. Upon arrival we immediately turned off the AC and never used it over our two weeks (nor did we use the heat). Even though it got cold at night, into the 40s, the house stayed warm once we closed it up for the night. The bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed, with nearby bathrooms and walk-in closet spaces. The master bedroom area is quite roomy with an oversize bathroom area. The walk-in shower in the master bedroom is just plain great and we want one of those in our house now! The kitchen area has all the conveniences with a breakfast nook overlooking the pool and a full dining area to the front of the house. The kitchen was stocked with more items than usual at a rental, having basic spices, coffee filters, tea bags, oil, vinegar, and some basic condiments in the fridge. The Eco Preserve is just down the road and we biked there. A couple of us also walked there, enjoying the sunshine and checking out swampy areas. We drove to Naples a couple times to see the zoo and the Botanical Garden’s “Night Lights in the Garden” and we enjoyed both of those. We also hung around home and did some lounging and swimming. We drove over to see the Manatee Park in Ft. Myers, and that provided a nice diversion. This home was in a great location, convenient to shopping and services, but in a quiet residential area. Check-in was very easy; information about the house prior to rental clarified some details. We experienced no surprises and Larry was very responsive to our initial questions. We would rent here again in the future, most definitely! PS: They had an excellent caretaker for the pool (it was crystal clear and clean!), and the home is well-maintained as to lawn service and insect prevention services.
