It's easy to find a Florida hotel geared towards family vacations as there is an abundance of family-themed attractions near the center of the state. There are as many beaches as there are theme parks, so the travel scene is overflowing with beachfront resorts providing immediate or short-distance access to the water. Luckily, the weather permits such travel throughout the year.

    Best Times to Visit

Florida is a great year-round vacation destination, but some areas are easier to enjoy during certain seasons. Most of the biggest attractions are open at nearly all times of the year, and this offers respite for those looking to escape the frigid temperatures of the northern winter. In many locations around the state, you can find locals and travelers flocking to the beach even during the holiday season.

It may be cooler in North Florida during the winter, but popular South Florida is always warm and sunny. Theme parks and hotels feature water activities including slides, pools, and rides that can still be enjoyed. Near the ocean, visitors can take part in sports such as snorkeling, diving, and surfing.

Visiting Florida during colder months presents its own benefits as well. Many hotels in Florida are less likely to be crowded due to the cooler weather or lack of family vacationers during the school year. Prices may be lower due to this decreased demand as well.

    Popular Attractions and Features

Florida offers many attractions including thrill ride theme parks, theme parks focused on nature and wildlife, gardens, and attractions offering experiences with local sea life. There are parks and attractions for all kinds of tastes, such as Disney World®, Sea World®, and Universal Orlando®. Everglades National Park offers visitors the opportunity to experience one of the most treasured ecosystems in Florida.

The Florida Keys offer an even more peaceful and secluded getaway, and you may even get to try authentic Key Lime pie if you stay long enough. Also in south Florida is a significant Hispanic population. In Miami and the surrounding areas, you can sample Latin cuisine from a variety of national influences or take part in periodic cultural festivals.

These hotels are in close proximity to other activities such as golf and nightlife to enhance your local experience even more.

Many hotels take business travelers into consideration and offer conference rooms and meeting spaces. Hotels in Miami are some of the most luxurious in the state. Many are located right on the beach or near historic Miami attractions.

    Benefits of Florida Geography

The state offers miles of ocean access on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. If you love vacations on the water, you'll have many opportunities on either coast or even on the edge of Lake Okeechobee. Cities such as Fort Lauderdale and Daytona are celebrated for their beaches, and they are often bustling with visitors throughout the year.

Orlando is located near the center of Florida, making it an easy place to reach should you choose to start your stay in one region and move through the state. Miami is known for its shallow beaches and bold blue waters that provide a taste of the tropics with big-city appeal. "Great hotel!"
Great hotel, super close to Downtown Disney/Disney Springs, and the parks. The only thing I would like would be a luggage rack in the rooms so I don't have to put my suitcase on the floor.

"Nice hotel close to amenities "
Nice greeting from staff. Room needed to be swept and vacuumed. Otherwise very nice. Didn't get to try the pool because they shut it down as we were getting to it. I can only imagine it was a bathroom incident. Very rude guests approaching front desk as other guests checking in and interrupting staff that were with customers. Staff did their best to maintain order. Overall nice stay and we would go back.

"Renovated rooms made this hotel excellent "
We arrived early but were accommodated and even upgraded. There are two buildings, joined and we were in beautiful new room in the unit on the beach. The walk in shower I loved! The windows were huge and overlooking the beach but darkened so, except at night, no one could see in. The resort fee co veered the beach chair, but umbrellas were extra. The pool was clean and well kept. Breakfast was reasonable at $15 for bacon and eggs. Still renovations going on in the lobby but no noise and we were at the pool and beach not in the lobby much.

"convenient to airport, beach and port"
I've been staying here regularly for 5 years because it was a nice hotel, conveniently located. They are in process of renovating parts of the hotel, but don't seem to have gotten to the room I stayed in most recently. It was pretty tired and damaged and not clean. Bathroom paint was bubbling and damaged. The room carpet was stained, sticky, and had clearly not been vacuumed because it was full of debris (tags, leaf parts, crumbs, peanuts) and this extended into the bathroom (hair, more peanuts). Gross. The sheets and towels seemed clean and the a/c worked.
