The cape
I would rather say less it wasn’t the best Vrbo I have stayed in. And I try not to leave bad reviews. But this one I’ll make an exception bed held up by bricks in the middle of master bed room Pool cloudy for days then when they sent somone out. No pool filter then told not to swim. For a couple of days. Internet what internet better off using phone. Just not happy

Spacious Home
This is the first time my family and I stayed in the Cape Carol area and I could say the location of the house is perfect. The house is located in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood located near shopping and restaurants. The house is spacious and big enough with plenty of room for my family of 6 to spread out. Having access to the garage was great in order to keep the car covered from the sun and to go in and out of the house while taking trips to the beaches, dining and entertainment in the Ft. Myers area. The house was equipped with chairs and umbrella for the days we did go to the beach and plenty of pool/beach towels. The freezer had the ice machine functional that made it easy to load the bag cooler we purchased with ice and beverages. We did find a few issues that needed to be addressed. The property manager Vacasa addressed all issues with the home immediately. Overall, we had a great time at Cape Coral.

great vacation
We had a great time on our vacation to Cape Coral. The house was perfect for us, and the pool was just the right size. We saw dolphins one evening in the canal! The location was great with restaurants and things to see and do close by.

Such a disappointment
The location is fantastic and we enjoyed docking the boat and it's close to area islands. But that's the end of the good. The home has not been maintained very well. Broken/cracked baseboards that just get screwed back on; bedframes with no headboards so you are up against the walls; mattresses that are cheap and uncomfortable; the couches are broken(still from previous reviews that stared they were fixed); and when we had to lift one of the cushions it was obvious they had not vacuumed under the cushions in a very long time... it was disgusting! the pool has stains which make it look unclean; the screen door won't stay latched letting in bugs; and the trees/shrubs around the house are in dire need of trimming and clean out. There is a family of mice living over the front bedroom/garage because they did not remove tree debris that fell on the roof. It has obviously been there for some time and the mice have built a nest around it. The kitchen counters had not been wiped down and were gross. There was a sticky brown spill in one of the cabinets and all the items/pots were stuck to it. The bed linens are so thin you can see thru them. The white bath towels and mats are stained and dirty looking even after washing them. And the master bath had blood on the door and mold in the shower. The pool had not been cleaned out/swept and had hair ties and large particles floating on the surface. And there was leaves/debris from the plants in the pool deck that were more than just that day. I booked thru VRBO only finding out later that it was a 3rd party Vacasa renting the home. It took multiple emails/phone calls to get answers to my questions before arriving. We notified them on the first day about the u cleanliness of the home. They did offer to send the cleaning lady back but we had already cleaned it ourselves and if she didn't clean it the 1st time I doubt she would de different the 2nd time. They did offer to refund our cleaning fee. Yes please and thank you. We also notified them the microwave was not working. It took them until late Tuesday afternoon to get a replacement. This was after we were told for 2 days a maintenance man was coming. Again thank you for bringing a substitute but it should not have taken that long. We have rented homes multiple times a year thru various sites and in different areas. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had and the house was definitely the dirtiest we have ever been in.

Potential but let go
Property is really nice but had a ton of problems because everything is outdated. I paid 30.00 per day to have the pool heated but they shut it off remotely every day. Ended up calling a plumber myself because response time on repairing the mbr shower would’ve been 2 days. Tons of potential but needs TLC

Needs better cleaning service
The home is older so I would expect the house would need a deep cleaning, but the surface cleaning was unacceptable. When I arrived I wiped down the kitchen counters and there were coffee stains and bread crumbs I had to scrub off. Oven dirty. Some dishes and utensils not thoroughly cleaned. Proceeded to wipe down handles and switches which turned my wipes brown. Disposal didn’t work which caused water and debris backup. Dishwater leaks. Master bathroom light wouldn’t turn off. Couch broken, leaning forward. Pool cloudy. You hear critters behind the walls during the night. If I were the owners of this home I would be changing the management services.

The house had a lot of problems. The couch was flaking pieces of red leather all over the house and needed to be replaced. A bar stool had the seat broken off, there were ants in the house, there was mold on a door in the bathroom. the stove had the handle broken off and the ends were a hazard if you ran into them. the grill and the pool area needed to be power wash and cleaned. I finely talked to a manager that could help me, They replaced the couch and stove and cleaned and fixed everything else. but took 12 of our 57 day stay to get it done. There is all so 4 coconuts trees by the channel and dock that were dropping coconuts all the time so we could not in joy the dock for a coconut falling on our head. But the rest of the trip we enjoyed the house after everything was fixed.

Memories in Cape Coral
House was the perfect size for the 7 of us. We loved having the pool and dock right out the back door. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and some of the basic necessities to get us through the week. The furniture is a little outdated but was completely comfortable. We had lots of visitors in the way of lizards, birds, and even tree frogs, which the kids loved! We fished off the dock with a couple of the poles we found in the garage catching some snapper and catfish. Our only disappointment was when we pulled up to the house it didn't look as well kept as the pictures led you to believe. The yard needed mowed, the shrubs and trees were overgrown onto the sidewalk, and the tree near the front door had branches that were falling down that eventually came down as the week progressed. Would stay here again though because that didn't effect our stay it was just the first impression. So many great memories from this visit. We fell in love with Cape Coral!

Nice but not great place to stay 😐
Nice house with an accommodating floor plan that was marred by an abundance of spiders inside the screened in patio/pool area, less than clean flooring, dishes, and silverware, and a posted restriction on air conditioning settings below 74°. A less than ideal vacation venue.
