Fantastic hotel
We loved this hotel! Right on the main street of Catania, within walking distance of the sights. The room was huge with everything we needed, and breakfast was provided in a cafe a few minutes walk away. The people in the hotel were helpful and friendly. Our flight didn’t arrive until early hours of the morning, we called ahead and the guy was waiting for us. Would highly recommend this hotel!

We used this property for an event we hosted - lots of back and forth with the owner with some concern about the security of our reservation. In the end it worked out...it’s in a good location (Main Street Catania) and is clean and livable.

Albatro Rooms is efficiently run by Antonio, the manager, and Daniela, the house-keeper. Don’t be put off by the outside gate; beyond the entrance door, Albatro Rooms offers comfortable, spacious and clean rooms, and above all a very friendly atmosphere which made me feel at home. Despite their humble rating (2 stars), my room had air-con, television and a fridge and a lovely balcony overlooking via Etnea. There’s also a vending machine that sells amazing café machiato for only €0,50. If they manage to solve the internet problem (it drops far too often) and the fact that breakfast is served at a very unfriendly café (MrLino) near their premises, I can’t see why they could not become a 3* B&B.

Very helpful and friendly owner of b&b
The most important thing about this bed and breakfast was that is was really central in the middle of shops and restaurants etc... The owner was so helpful. He helped us with the luggage and the shopping every day. He showed us where to go and even came with us to show us where it is safe to park. I felt very safe.

Good, but needs some areas looking at
Arrived here after a long drive, no one was in to answer door. I called the number advised and unfortunately lack of language skills each way, I don't know much Italian and the recipient knew little English was a problem, he kept putting the phone down. The owner finally arrived and showed us where to park, he was very attentive making sure we knew how to work the air con and TV. It was a room looking over the main street, very good location, did seem to be a lot of mosquitoes about, we got bitten something terrible, maybe a mesh curtain over the front window could help? The breakfast at the cafe across the street was nice, a pastry and a coffee included in b and b price. The cleaning lady was funny, she was very pleasant, but she just spoke at us, with us not knowing what she was saying.. We must of looked none the wiser, but still she spoke! My main issue was that lack of communication at when we were expected to arrive via email (use google translate) the owner should make sure someone is there to greet us. I think a bit of fine tuning this place can build on a good foundation.

Ottima posizione da cui è possibile raggiungere le varie zone di Catania. Vicina alla Villa Bellini e a negozi di qualsiasi genere. Servita da mezzi pubblici tra cui Alibus. Daniela ci ha accolto calorosamente e ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie per rendere piacevole il nostro soggiorno.

Il titolare della struttura è stato accogliente e disponibile anche se siamo arrivati dopo il check in. La struttura è dotata di comodissimi letti, un frigo piccolo, un balcone che si affaccia sulla via principale e dotato di un bagno indipendente situato in camera e accessibile anche per disabili. Per essere una quadrupla si stava comodi su tutto. la collaboratrice puliva tutte le mattine la stanza.La colazione si consumava al bar vicino.La struttura si trova in perfetto centro, non c'è bisogno di prendere l'auto per andare in centro, e si trova vicino ad una fermata di pullman. Alle spalle si trova un grandissimo parco. L'unico inconveniente era il parcheggio...sono tutti a pagamento

Хотя месторасположение неплохое: рядом парк и в двух шагах остановка автобуса до аэропорта, проблем было много для одного дня пребывания. Сначала не работал вай-фай. Пришлось переехать в другой номер, где он работал и плохого запаха в номере уже не было. Почему-то стала мигать лампочка, ее поменяли. На утро не смогли мне выдать квитанцию об оплате городского налога и просто отдали мне 1 евро обратно. Утром дали адрес кафе, где должен был пройти завтрак, я пришел туда, а кафе оказалось закрыто. Отвели в другое кафе, завтрак в итоге был стакан молока и пироженое. Ну и языковой барьер даже если вы более-менее владеете английским. На картинках выглядело лучше, чем ощущения по приезду.

Prima, informeel, prettig hotel
Hotel was niet eenvoudig te vinden achter een oude metalen deur. Eigenaar spreekt alleen Italiaans en derhalve was de aankomst wat ingewikkeld 's avonds laat. Daarna prima contact gehad met eigenaar en dame die hotel schoon houdt etc. Danielle is haar naam. Erg prettig en informeel hotel aan drukke straat in Catania met weinig parkeerplaatsen, die onbezet zijn; dus alles te voet gedaan, hetgeen prima te doen is naar centrum Catania. Bij een eventueel volgend verblijf in Catania zouden we weer naar dit hotel gaan. Eigenaar helpt bij naar boven en beneden brengen van bagage via trappen.

A very pleasant stay.
Very centrally located, 50 meters to the airport shuttle bus is much appreciated. Antonio and Daniela were very friendly, helpful and kind, they willingly gave suggestions which turned out to be very useful and practical. Would stay there again.

Il personale disponibile e gentilissimo, la stanza era comoda e pulita, l'unico problema era lo sciacquone del bagno mal funzionante. La posizione ottima nella via principale della città, piena di negozi, un po' rumorosa la notte. La fermata degli autobus si trova davanti la struttura.

Ótima acomodação para uma viagem curta, próxima ao centro, muito limpo. O único problema que vejo é um problema comum em pelo menos na Itália, o espaço do box para banho é minúsculo. As pessoas que nos atenderam foram muito receptivas.

Tutto molto bene. Nessuna brutta sorpresa.
Tutto molto bene, dall'inizio del soggiorno alla partenza. Il B & B è molto pulito e curato, ha tutti i confort ed il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo. Le camere sono spaziose e molto ben tenute.

Definitiv empfehlenswert!
Wir sind nach Mitternacht angekommen und wurden herzlichst an der Rezeption empfangen. Das Zimmer war geräumig (sogar mit Balkon) und sehr sauber. Das alte Gebäude hat Charme, die Lage ist zentral: hinter dem "Giardino Bellini". Man kann in 15 Minuten zu Fuß die wunderschöne Kathedrale erreichen. Das Frühstück findet in einem sehr schönen Cafè in der nähe statt. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis ist sehr gut.

La entrada asusta un poco; la habitación está desfasada; si da al exterior hay ruido porque está en una calle principal; la ducha tiene ennegrecida la goma y da un poco de asco. Nosotros llegamos y no funcionaba la calefacción ni la televisión, pero en poco tiempo Antonio lo puso en funcionamiento. El personal ha sido amable y la ubicación es muy buena. Teníamos el desayuno incluido pero no había nadie cuando salimos del hostal así que no pudimos hacerlo.

Soggiorno di lavoro
Tanto per cominciare l'albergo nella via principale di Catania(via etnea) , via piena di negozi e vita dalla mattina alla sera, poi la struttura si trova ad esattamente 5 metri dalla fermata autobus, fermata anche dell'Alibus, l'autobus che collega l'aeroporto con la città(e viceversa). La struttura: il proprietario, Antonio, è di una gentilezza estrema, ottima comunicazione e sempre pronto a soddisfare(nel possibile) le esigenze dei propri clienti. Daniela,la persona che ci lavora, è una persona molto gentile e cura i clienti come se fossero suoi familiari, dalla preparazione della colazione alla pulizia delle camere. Le camere, pulitissime, erano tutte dotate di internet Wi-Fi. Il rapporto qualità prezzo? Decisamente FAVOLOSO... Ora: se una persona viene in questa struttura e si aspetta il confort 5 stelle lusso con SPA e piscina in camera...beh...trovasse altre destinazioni... Ma se volete un ambiente,accogliente, pulito, con i confort base e con una qualità /prezzo ottimi allora siete nel posto giusto... Con il prezzo che ho pagato qui potevo al massimo(e dico al massimo) pernottare in un dormitorio con bagno condiviso. Mi sento di consigliare a tutti l'alba tiro per i vostri pernottamenti a Catania. Un grazie ad Antonio e Daniela per la vostra gentilezza ed ospitalità

Mentre ero in viaggio verso Catania, mi contatta il titolare per sapere a che ora sarei arrivato e mi comunica che per un disguido nelle prenotazioni la struttura era al completo e quindi mi dato una camera di un albergo vicino, gestito dalla moglie. La mia valutazione fa quindi riferimento alla gestione, più che alla struttura. Arrivo all'indirizzo di Albatro rooms, busso e non risponde nessuno. Telefono e il titolare mi chiede di raggiungerlo direttamente al nuovo indirizzo, lì vicino. Al nuovo hotel trovo l'ascensore temporaneamente fuori uso; dopo tre piani a piedi faccio la conoscenza dei titolari, due persone simpatiche. La camera che mi viene assegnata è grande, pulita, dotata di aria condizionata. Mi viene fornito un buono per la prima colazione da consumare ad un bar nei pressi dei giardini Bellini. Unici punti negativi il letto un po' scomodo e il bagno che, rispetto alla camera, è vecchiotto e malmesso. Questo, comunque, è riferito alla struttura alternativa, non ad Albatro rooms, che non ho avuto modo di vedere. I titolari sono persone abbastanza disponibili, quindi il giudizio è mediamente sufficiente. La posizione di Albatro Rooms è a due minuti a piedi dai giardini Bellini; nella zona ci sono molti bar e negozi, è sulla via Etnea, grande strada dedicata al commercio e al passeggio. Per arrivare in centro ci si impiega una passeggiata di meno di dieci minuti.

El hotel es una especie de casa, en la calle principal de Catania, muy buena ubicación. Antonio y Daniella son muy amables y atentos, es una pena que solo hablen italiano, algo que dificulta la comunicación. El desayuno es en una cafetería cercana, básico pero bien.

Ottimo punto di partenza per visitare la città!
Posizione ottimale, in via Etnea, consente di girare tutto il centro storico a piedi. Comodo da raggiungere direttamente dall'aeroporto, grazie alla fermata dell'Alibus a due passi. Camera essenziale ma spaziosa e confortevole, dotata sia di aria condizionata che di televisione, unico neo la doccia, davvero molto piccola. La mia stanza aveva anche un piccolo balcone sulla via Etnea, il che, se da una parte rende possibile affacciarsi sul cuore della città appena svegli o di sera, dall'altra espone la camera al rombo dei motori degli autobus che passano fino notte fonda - problema comunque risolvibile con piccoli accorgimenti quali i tappi per le orecchie. Proprietari gentili e disponibili anche a dare consigli sulle attività nei dintorni, buona la colazione nel bar Spinella, convenzionato con i buoni.

B&B in pieno centro di Catania
B&B in pieno centro di Catania a due passi dalla Villa Bellini,confortevole con il personale spartano, disponibile e ospitale. La camera era per 4 posti letto, un matrimoniale e due letti singoli, ampia luminosa e confortevole. Il prezzo 70 euro a notte è stato ottimo. Nelle vicinanze in Via Andronico è possibile trovare abbastanza facilmente parcheggio gratuito e sicuro per l'intera giornata. Esperienza nel complesso più che buona , un consiglio siccome Catania è infestata dalle zanzare tigre, attrezzarsi di conseguenza.

+ : -Bien situé sur la via etnea idéal pour shopping. Bcp de bus au pied de l'hotel dont celui pour l'aéroport. A 10-15 min à pied de la piazza giovanni d'où s'effectue le départ pour l'etna -Chambre et équipements très corrects -Gentillesse de l'hôte qui nous a accueilli malgré notre arrivée tardive et en plus avec la spécialité locale! Très apprécié! - : -Pas d'isolation --> bruit permanent pendant la nuit. Prenez des boules quiès! -Invasion de moustiques --> prenez des précautions! -L'hôte ne parle pas anglais. Ce n'est donc pas la peine de compter sur ses conseils. Pour bilan, je dirai que le rapport qualité-prix est correct mais ne recommanderai cet hotel que pour les budgets très serrés.

B&B confortevole proprio in centro.
Piacevole week end a Catania, alloggiamento in B&B Albatro Room's in ampia camera confortevole e pulita. Colazione con tickets presso il miglior bar del centro. Disponibilità e cortesia da parte del personale. Ritorneremo sicuramente.

Awful - room stank of cigarette smoke
We couldn't take the room as the smell was too bad. We were then offered a room in another hotel, which was just terrible. The,y also tried to double charge is in the end. Never again!
