Clean but not modernized. Rooms are small. Chaotic breakfast buffet. For the money, I expected five-star.

The only thing we liked was the Ocean snorkeling. Restaurants were too Expensive and menu was for people who like fancy food . Pool area was closed early. Night life is poor . Beach closed at 6pm and still light out . No simple restaurant for people to enjoy so we left the property to get better food at half the price. If you like over priced food fancy menu’s then this place if for you . Disappointed with the restaurant choices . i would not come again do to the food prices and every fun activity shuts early.

Loved the Welcome. We arrived early but Audrey at the front desk still found us a great room to stay. Food was tasty and plentiful! The night entertainment was amazing. This is where we spent our honeymoon 17 years ago and once again the Shangri-La did not disappoint.

It is a wonderful hotel/resort. It offered many amenities including pools, snorkeling and other water sports, tennis, etc. you could spend days there just doing everything or nothing. The staff was always courteous, helpful and cheerful. The breakfast buffet was so good that one will have to really watch it. Made me wish I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful resort with excellent facilities. Lots of options in the Breakfast buffet. Hotel is very well maintained but our room is showing signs of aging esp in the bathroom. Coming from USA, the hotel staff are amazing, customer service is on a different level. While there, make sure you don’t miss The spa.

I enjoyed the property, the staff and their services. However, we are extremely disappointed with the tour desk. We are extremely disappointed with the tour guide on February 11. As a tour guide, Dan told us who owns a particular piece of property. That’s it. Dan doesn’t know how to take pictures. The pictures he took were terrible. He’s pictures are crooked and contain pictures of his fingers. We feel our time and money are wasted on the February 11 tour. I requested a full refund from Emilie Y. Baniel; we are still waiting for our refund. February 11, 2024 was so disappointing that left us bad taste in our mouths. Because of that horrendous experience, we decided not to return to Cebu. We still talk about this horrible experience with our friends.

Not the level of quality I’d except from a Shangri-La. We stayed in the ocean wing which had beautiful sea views, it the wing itself was quite tired and needs an upgrade. The hotel itself has a great beach area with some good spots for snorkeling.

I noticed that when I book with Hotels.com I always don’t get a good room location. It’s either in the back, on the side, parking lot view or no view, upper floor, far from the lobby or the room doesn’t smell fresh.

Although a little far from central Cebu city and older - it retains its beautiful grounds. Had a nice stay. Watch out for the live sea anemones that look like rocks in the water at the beach. No caution signs and sat on it and was stung badly. Was not the first person that day.

I booked to stay at the hotel for 14 nights. Overall it is a lovely resort and the beach and pool area is great. Unfortunately I had to ask 4/5 times for my room to be cleaned during my stay as it seemed house keeping repeatedly missed my room, despite bumping into them in the hallway and confirming I would like my room cleaned. After calling, my room still wouldn’t be cleaned on multiple occasions, even when I was told someone would come right away. I went to Coron for a 3 day trip during this stay and still came back to find my room hadn’t been cleaned. I complained to the duty manager and she explained that a note had been added to my booking that I had to call for my room to be cleaned- I never asked for this and despite calling my room was still not being cleaned. It’s not what is expected when paying so much for a long booking at this hotel.

Property has a nice beach and great for snorkeling or just lounging around. Only thing we didn't like... property is dated and needs updating. Some tiles in our bathroom has cracks from aging.

This property has everything you need in a short holiday… It’s on the pricey end but well worth it… The food and drinks were really good… The hotel can use a bit more maintenance because there was some water leaking on the ceiling, but they have addressed it quickly… The outside paintjob for the hotel could do a retouch… But overall, the service are topnotch and definitely worth its five stars…

Beware of kids and noise
There was an excessive volume of kids under 10. Beware if you want an exclusive experience to relax and unwind, this is not the property. We were disappointed in the value for the price we paid. I had a kid in the room above me running around constantly and dropping a hard object on the floor at 2:30 in the morning. I had to ask the management to get involved and ended up sleeping with eat plugs. The property looks dated and needs a facelift.

Excellent customer service! We were greeted by staff with a smile and willingness to assist when needed. A special thank you to Chris and Jessie from the beach resort area for their quick response to emergency situations. They are very attentive, observant of people in the water who are swimming, kayaking and jet skiing. We needed assistance while we were jet skiing and Chris and Jessie responded and attended to us immediately. Luckily we did not get hurt during the incident. It was very comforting to have staff members like Chris and Jessie because they made us feel safe. Thank you again. We enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La!
