We are shocked to receive such a negative review from you for a few reasons. First, even though the rental contract you signed said that you would not receive any refund if cancelled within 14 days of arrival, the homeowner kindly allowed for you to receive a full credit for a future stay when you cancelled your original travel dates within 2 days of your arrival date. And, he was very generous with the rate extended to you for your rebooked dates. Second, not once did you reach out during your stay to express any concerns about the home’s furnishings or the bugs. Our property manager is fantastic and is very quick to respond to guests’ needs and would have gladly done everything he could to make you happy and would have certainly tended to the bug concern. The home has an extensive pest control plan, and it’s rare to ever have any issues like what you described. Third, we have never received feedback like this regarding the furniture, as can be witnessed through all previous reviews. It’s such a shame that you never contacted us to give us the opportunity to give you the best stay possible because we pride ourselves on delivering a great experience and outstanding customer service to all guests.

Hi Valerie - First of all - Thank you for staying with us. A few replies to your comments -We fixed the musty smell in the movie theater a few months ago. Since then, we have had a good number of guests stay in the home, and not one person mentioned a musty smell including the guest who just checked out right before your arrival. Since you never contacted us about it, we had no idea it was an issue with you. After reading your review, we have been in the theater and none of us smelled the musty smell. Regarding the issue with the A/C - we offered to come that night to fix it, but you declined the offer. The pillow cases should have been on the spare pillows. I'm not sure how housekeeping missed that. We try hard to make every guest experience a 5 Star stay. We are sincerely sorry that you thought yours was less than that.

Giving you the best/positive experience is our goal, and we are beyond happy that our home and service achieved that! Thank you again for being amazing guests. Please come back to stay with us again soon.

Lisa - Thank you for staying with us. When I read your review above, my initial thought was you had confused our home with another home where you may have stayed because we have not heard your complaints before. The home was completely renovated less than 3 years ago. All of the furniture and beds are less than 3 years old. The one item we are aware of is one of the movie theater recliners is broken and will not recline. You can sit in it, but it won't recline. It is beign addressed now.

Miranda - Thank you for staying with us. We always are striving for 5 Star reviews. We are sorry that yours was not one. The musty smell in the movie theater is intermittent. We have been trying to figure out where it is coming from in the theater. As soon as the current guest leaves, we are going to tear the theater apart and figure it out. Regarding the dishes and cooking utensils, we are constantly replenishing these items. Somehow they keep disappearing. I wish you had contacted us about them. The property manager would have brought you anything you needed. I hope you will come stay with us again. Next time you will have a 5 Star stay.

Hi Anaysa – The owners have asked me, being the marketing agent of their home, to write this response to your review since I dealt directly with you. It was a shock to see your 2 Star review. I have spoken with the property manager and addressed each issue with them. Neither they nor I heard from you during your stay regarding the lack of cleanliness of the home or the issues with the pots and pans. If you had, the property manager would have immediately addressed them. The only complaint we heard from you was the pool heater quit working. The property manager immediately sent a tech to check it and discovered that it was not working. We then refunded to you the money you paid for the pool heat. We have had no complaints about the pots and pans before or since your stay, but we did replace them because some had some scratches. Regarding your visit to the resort’s pool and clubhouse – I am very sorry that they treated you rudely. To be honest, I have never heard this complaint before nor witnessed it myself. I quite often eat lunch in the Grille Room in the clubhouse, and the staff has always been very friendly. Our goal is a 5 Star stay for each guest. Things are not always perfect for guests, but when we hear of a problem, we pride ourselves on how quickly we respond to fix whatever the issue is. We are sorry we were not given that opportunity with you.
