This is a cute boutique property but it's dated and in need of being refreshed. The bar is not owned by the hotel so they literally don't care about being helpful. I was confused as to where the elevator was because it's not obvious because it all blends in due to the decor so I asked the gentleman that was literally standing at a podium in front of the elevator and he could care less about helping me. This happened in total 3 x with different bar staff. I asked the front desk why this was, and they just rolled their eyes stating no love betwéen the hotel and bar. Keep in mind this is a very small property so why the disconnect when it comes to being helpful to the guests! That being said, the bar food was blah and the drinks are maybe 3 oz and $$$. They could update the TVs so they stream instead of only cable channels which was very limited. The location is great with lots of great places to eat and shop... don't be scared to go to the Webber Grill restaurant on the corner for happy hour! Excellent prices and delish ribs! I would not stay at this property again due to price, disconnect between the restaurant/bar staff and lack of amenities.

Best days are behind. The area is deteriorating. The "Casino" added a lot of people I have not seen before... The room was a dungeon. The shower needs some TLC. The bar is wonderful and the bartender is perfect.

I liked the environment inside the Hotel, the service was easy. The room was complete with everything (shampoo, etc). However, if you want additional self-care, you can ask and they can help you. The bar in the lobby is great, if you don't want to go far from your hotel, the bar is the best option where you can spend time with your friends. I really loved the place and in my next visit I would like to stay again there.

I picked this property based on the proximity (walking distance) to my training class at the Gleacher Center. The place was affordable and I wasn't looking for any extra amenities since I had to pay for this out of pocket (not business expense). The bed was great and shower. I stayed two nights and would recommend coming back here for a personal trip with me and/or my family.

This was a wonderfully kooky hotel. Loved the decor- made me smile every time I walked in the room. It was clean, comfortable and within walking distance to everything. The front desk staff was exceptional. They were so helpful, so friendly, and had great senses of humor. Loved it all and would stay here again.

Great Location. The property is in need of some basic updates and cleaning is not as good as it could be. I had to wipe out the dresser drawers and there are a lot of stains on rugs in the rooms.

The staff is wonderful. The rooms are well kept, cool art work. Has a cafe in the looby and a bar. Right off the redline, next door to Uno's, across the street from Jewel(groceries) and Starbucks. Love this hotel. I have been staying there every trip to Chicago for 10 years.

Location was 👍 Plenty of spots nearby and the Red Line Grand/State Street station is right around the corner. 20 min walk to Navy Pier. Hotel is average - comfy beds, big tv, no views unless you pay premium price. Don’t stay in Room 308 unless you prefer the sound of clanky metal banging all night long (seriously, add that to your requests). Otherwise, ehh it was what I paid for - the location.
