Illinois Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

Illinois is known as a microcosm of the United States. From the metropolis of Chicago, located on the shores of Lake Michigan in the state's northeast corner, to the plains of the west and the rolling hills and Mississippi River to the south, Illinois is a state for everyone. Hotels in Illinois offer Midwestern hospitality with a modern touch.

The state of Illinois proclaims to be the "Land of Lincoln," and three Illinois state residents, including Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant, and Barack Obama have been elected to the top position in the U.S. Government. In addition, Ronald Reagan was born and raised in the state.

    "Top Notch Hotel"
Hyatt Regency Chicago has always been one of my favorites when in that great City. It's interiors are elegant and the staff is very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Additionally, you can't beat the location and has wonderful conveniences and amenities (i.e., Hertz desk right in the lobby and they even bring your car to you with the valet in the front of hotel). Also, there is an underground concourse with many shops and restaurants whereas you wouldn't even have to go outside. I can't say enough about this hotel - - my stay there this week couldn't have been any better - - and the view of the north river/Navy Pier/Lake Michigan was a pleasant addition. Thank you Hyatt ~

    "Great location!"
Rooms were very old. Our room didn't have a heater only window unit ac unit which blew in cold air in 30 degree weather. Very very old rooms including shower which water barely came on. Staff was top notch. The Parking fee and no breakfast were a bit much too. Can't beat the location but if your wanting a modern or even this century room look elsewhere as I believe the last time it was remodeled was probably last century!
