When trying to get check in information at time of check in, the host canceled over an hour after we were confirmed to be able to check in. They claimed “natural disaster”. Is this a scam?? Do not book with this host.

Terrible host
The host never contacted us after booking. Then they cancelled less than 24 hours before we were set to arrive. The host offered no explanation and did not respond to my request for an explanation. On the positive side, VRBO was beyond helpful in making sure we weren't stranded.

Good location
Good location and lots of space. Really short walk to lots of restaurants and Marianos. It's possible I missed it somewhere, but I had no idea the street was permitted until I arrived, so that was a disappointing surprise. There are also is one bedroom you have to walk through to get to another, so one bedroom is not fully private. It's workable, though. I would reserve this spot again.

Great neighborhood stay
Rented this spot for friends, close to my smaller place. It was great for coming and going and kept us in the great west town neighborhoods. Small but if confusion at checking, but. A lovely upstairs neighbor was very kind and helpful,while texting with owner too about gaining entrance. Area is great Design shops and restaurants. Would rent here for friends and family to stay close. We are all very tall people 6 foot and over. Ceiling can be right above head in lower level and ducking in doorways. Only an issue for taller individuals that might not see well.

Lovely place with non-existent host
The place itself is great. However, host communication was utter garbage. Wouldn't have even gotten into the house until ~24 hours later if it wasn't for a neighbor who happened to be willing to help us out. Never received correct WiFi information. And for the cherry on the top: a lock was installed on the gate in between the place and the street during our stay. Thankfully we were young enough to hop the fence to get to the place. May not book through VRBO again - this was my first experience and it would appear the hosts can do whatever they want

Spacious living area, a bit noisy on weekend
We had a nice weekend stay in this carriage house. For us two couples there was plenty of room. The kitchen in particular is spacious and well appointed. The living room, breakfast nook, and bathroom completes the main floor. Below are two bedrooms and the other bath. Access to the bath and other room is through the one bedroom. The master bedroom upstairs is light and roomy. Unfortunately the house overlooks a restaurant back patio across the alley. With the bedroom door closed it wasn't particularly loud, unless you're sensitive to that kind of thing.
