Falling Waters: Cozy Updated Cabin in the Woods

Falling Waters Cabin is a cozy private retreat nestled in the woods just 10 minutes from Clayton.
While we are new to VRBO, we are listed on another booking site and have established a 4.96 rating with 116 reviews!
Close to trails, river access, waterfalls, and national forest, this is a great location to enjoy the outdoors. Perfect for one or two couples for a relaxing weekend, or a small family for a fun active weekend. You will enjoy the sounds of the small waterfall and creek as soon as you arrive, or during a creekside fire, or as you relax or dine on the spacious wrap-around porch.

The space
Falling Waters Cabin is a serene and inviting retreat, with tastefully integrated vintage, nautical, and boho décor. The cabin was fully renovated as of October 2020 and features new appliances, granite counter tops, and new guest furniture (including mattresses) plus numerous mid-century vintage pieces and art that complement the clean lines of the white and natural wood interior and comfortable environment.

The cabin features an updated loft style with a soaring ceiling and ample natural light in the living room, an open updated kitchen, and 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom and private bath is on the main/ground level, and the second bedroom and private bath is upstairs. The living room couch is a pull out queen size bed for additional sleeping space if needed. You can unwind and enjoy your meals on the covered wrap-around porch, which has multiple areas for your enjoyment - a bistro table and chairs, a comfortable outdoor couch and chairs, and a hanging porch swing. The living room offers a gas-log fireplace (easy, clean, and no wood). And if you prefer a natural wood fire, there is outdoor fire pit by the babbling creek, with additional seating for four. There is also a hammock nestled in the trees for you to enjoy the peaceful setting in the trees. A Weber charcoal grill with charcoal and grilling tools are available for outdoor cooking. Kids and dogs will love dipping into the stream that flows through the woods, with a small waterfall that adds a reminder to relax and enjoy your time at Falling Waters Cabin. A cold plunge tub is situated under the fresh creek water. It is assessable to anyone interested in experiencing the many benefits of cold water therapy!

We recognize that dogs are an essential part of many families, so we welcome up to two well-behaved canine companions with a $50 per-booking/visit dog fee. Please let the hosts know as you are making your reservation that you plan to bring your 4-legged family members. If you plan to bring more than two dogs, kindly let us know, and we can go from there. We do ask that you keep your pets off the furniture and beds, and clean up after your pets during their stay.

We are excited to welcome you to Falling Waters Cabin, to unwind and relax among the trees, listen to the sound of the stream as it dances its way over rocks, and settle into the comfort of this sweet cabin! It's yours to make your little slice of heaven for as long as you like!

Cozy Cottage Get A Way
We found the cottage to be cozy, clean and comfortable. We loved the roomy porch, the bird friendly yard and the chairs by the creek. During our stay, we enjoyed hikes to three lovely waterfalls. We hope to return so we can further explore the Georgia Mountains.

Such a Nice Parent Getaway!!
My husband and I had one night away from the kiddos and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Falling Waters!! The area has plenty to do but is also just as relaxing as you want it to be. The house was stocked full of everything we needed, they even had a small bottle of local wine ready for us which was such a nice thought! Although it was just the 2 of us, there was plenty of room for another couple or kids. The road up to the cabin is a one-car road, as stated by the owner. My husband is very familiar with mountain driving so we did fine, but it might be a bit intimidating for someone not used to mountain travel. Other than that, everything was perfect and we had a weekend to be remembered. Thank you, Caitlin, for being such an amazing host. We will definitely be back!!

Just what I needed
This place is an absolute hidden Gem! We will be back for certain. Pulling up the mountain the view is absolutely gorgeous and then pulling up into the cabins steep driveway you just immediately feel immersed in the forest. I spent the evening reading on the porch that is perfect for peace and relaxation as the creek water gives a nice tranquil noise. My dog was in his heaven running up the mountain and into the creek. He had a lot of fun and I had a lot of relaxation! Bed was amazingly comfortable and place was cleaner than I expected a cabin to be! Was literally perfect and cannot thank Caitlin enough🙏🙏
