“This is a super charming small hotel (10 rooms) in a quiet area of Amboise yet still just a few blocks from the Palace and other great sites. The staff is OUTSTANDING. Jean Jacques the owner greeted us at check in with an employee named Angel. He recently purchased the hotel and Angel joined his team this week. He obviously cares deeply about the place and makes sure you have everything you need. When he is not there Angel was terrific. She also cared about everything that happens at the……

“Where do I start? The place is perfectly situated. It’s in the middle of beautiful woods, but walking distance to fine chateaux and ambois itself - a gorgeous town complete wit markets and beautiful architecture and restaurants. The chalet is like a luxury tree house! It has a large jacuzzi underneath the main cabin and sun loungers. The bed is super king and super comfy. Air con, lovely tasteful decor with armchairs etc. a bottle of wine awaited us in the fridge in the compact kitchen. Bathroom……

“Staff at check in was incredibly nice and attentive. Room was shown and explanation of access both during daytime hours and after hours (there is a back door to the old town that makes it a snap) was given. Room was cozy, not large, but bathroom was great and amenities were good. Air conditioning worked splendidly. Centrally located right across the street from the Loire River. Our room (#7) had a balcony (shared) with a deck table and chairs. Rooms have a small fridge with “minibar” items.……

“We rented a room at the last minute for a low price. This is not a typical hotel. We learned that we had been expected to bring our own linen, and we would [will?] be charged a cleaning fee if the room is not clean enough. Massive space for cost. This is an event cluster of apartments, and the management is not quite set up for smooth per diem rentals. All things considered, a pleasant stay and we navigated the lack of short term rental support.”

“It was a great find for us! Amazing spot, great people, very good breakfast options in a charming dining area. You can have your breakfast in and out-doors. We didnt take dinner at the ai erge but i bet it was delicious! Next time we are definitely asking for dinner.”
