“The location of the hotel is perfect. Just steps to the Chateau, restaurants and the river. We had a standard room, so I wasn’t expecting much, but the room and bathroom were really small. The A/C worked very well during the heat of August! It was also great to have a fridge in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not very good for $15 euros.”
“Great spot in the center of town. Lovely pool. Plentiful breakfast. Having a designated parking lot was great only we got back late one night and couldn’t enter because it was locked and the desk wasn’t staffed so we had to find parking elsewhere.”
“The staff are wonderful. I wish check in hours weren’t so limited - we arrived earlier than expected and wanted to drop off our bags, but had to wait around in the car a long time (since we didn’t want to leave our luggage unattended) until the check in hour that begins at 5p, since the doors are locked and no one answered the door until then. Also wish that they had AC- it was pretty hot during our stay.”
“Villa Mary was a lovely place to stay, It was well approximated to the Loire river, chateaux and many restaurants, all within walking distance.Mary was so welcoming and a delight to interact with when we ran into her. We easily found parking right in front of her place.”
“Quaint B and B. Lovely host. Very welcoming. Place full of old art and curiosity, statues and old mirrors. It is a special place. The small garden is very pretty. Only stayed one night.
The village is very beautiful. Unfortunately we had no time for the many chateau.”
“Don’t waste your time. No bed sheets and no towels, and nothing was mentioned during checking. Either 2 kids, we had to shirt and find another place to stay. Avoid.”
“A high quality hotel in the town. The front desk is friendly and provide map amd infomations. The room is clean. The room is worm enough in cold winter.”
“We had a wonderful stay at Le Clos du Chateau. Our room was clean with good A/C considering we were there during an intense heatwave. Caroline prepared a beautiful breakfast every morning with fresh breads and homemade jams and spreads. She was also very helpful in advising us where to visit and we were never disappointed with her suggestion. If you’re visiting Amboise, which is truly beautiful, we advise staying at Le Clos du Chateau which is perfectly located to enjoy this adorable old town,”
