Needs Updates

Posted Sep 8, 2017 on Hotels
Rooms are definitely in need of updates and our room wasn't in the main building.

Nice hotel near GNP

Posted Sep 8, 2017
Pros: location, lot of parking and easy to get to HWY2 and GNP
Cons: Shower & Bath room too small and old. Bed and mattress are below average, need to get better mattress for people since they charged us over $200/nigh
Basic hotel - Below average amenity but roomy and clean. Kind of old on everything. Good location with excellent accessibility to HW2 and GNP.

Beware!

Posted Sep 5, 2017 on Hotels
Our second floor room smelled musty, as if the door had not been opened in a month or so. I used a kleenex to wipe the dust from both the lamp and the table it set upon. We requested another room, but were told there were none. Fortunately, the weather allowed us to leave the door open for a while to air out the room. The next morning, my husband walked barefoot from the bed to the bathroom and after his shower, we discovered how dirty the floor was. His black footprints from walking that short distance, remained in the shower. We had reserved the room for two nights, but called Hotels.com and the kind gentleman listened to our situation then spoke with the Western Inn manager. He came back on the line to say we could not cancel the second night, so were were charged for it. However, he was kind enough to offer us credit for that night allowing us to move to a different facility. Thanks Hotels.com! We've traveled the world and never had a musty, dirty experience like this one. Drop the Western Inn!

Dirty,dirty dirty.

I've stayed in 2 star motels that were cleaner and nicer than this motel. Cockroach in bed, sinks wouldn't drain and were extremly dirty. Spotty wifi because we were so far from main building. Would not recommend.

I'm sorry you were unhappy with your stay, although we do not have cockroaches on this property, nor are they very common in MT, may have been a common stink bug.

Rated 3 only because of very nice, helpful staff

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Pros: staff and proximity to the Glacier NP also, even though not up to comfort standard, the room and hotel were clean
Cons: insulate walls for better noise cancellation, update furniture and add some proteins to breakfast (eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, nuts)
Location: Relatively close to Glacier NP so plenty of hiking; also zip-lining; horseback riding, whitewater rafting, biking, fishing
Old furniture including horribly uncomfortable mattress (which became really obvious after a day of hiking); ancient microwave taking twice the amount of time than usually needed; wobbly closet doors that kept coming out of the sliding frame (watch your toes!); damaged TV screen with black streaks and spots; paper-thin walls that made it nearly impossible to sleep between a room of night owls (not partying but simply talking late at night) next to us, early birds above us and a parking lot in front of our room with people coming and going; not a true breakfast, just pastries (mini donuts and muffins) and coffee/tea. Positives: very nice staff and decent size fridge.

Don't stay here!

I paid good money for a 3 queen suite, which smelled awful, and the towels had stains on them. The beds looked to be made up by previous guests. The floors were dirty as well. Will never stay there again.

Nice Place for visiting Glacier National Park

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Pros: Proximity to GNP and price.
This comfortable motel is clean and rooms are comfortable. Its an older property that has been well maintained. Neat teepees, cabins and yurts are available too.

Pros: Close to Glacier National Park. Then I realized how accommodating and friendly the staff was. The whole complex is family friendly and very clean.
Cons: Room 14 - no bedside nightstands. So we used a chair, which worked perfectly.
Location: That area has so many attractions to attend.
Nice and clean facility. The room decor is wonderful, with nice beds. The bathrooms may seem to be old style, but enjoy the history of the complex..The whole facility is very welcoming and family friendly. I would recommended it to others, and we will probably stay their again for our next trip to Glacier park.
