“We were upgraded to a very nice cabin called Halibut Hut. Our hosts greeted us as we pulled in the driveway and parked. The cabin was very nice and clean. The property is right on the river and there was a dock and chairs to sit and enjoy the water and the mountains. We totally recommend this property and will retun.”

“The hosts were amazing. Chris and her husband, Wayne, were fantastic hosts. To our utmost delight, there was firewood stocked by the fire pits for our use. There was also BBQ grills available for grilling. The grounds were breathtaking, with incredible seating all around the river; double-sided rocking chairs, rocking picnic tables, and fire pit seating. The dock was perfect for river-side viewing and a quick dip for some. We will be back! A wonderful treat for our visiting guests. ”

“Unless you are a fisherman, Soldotna has not much to offer. But if you are in your way by the Kenai peninsula, it's a convenient stop. And this hotel is awesome: very comfortable, great breakfast and a relaxing stop in your way. Don't hesitate!”

“My family of four had a pleasant stay here. The property was exactly as my son had requested - a woodsy lodge near a lake. Our room was tight but it was clean and we had enough soap, towels, etc. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. We had to wait a bit to be served, but we were told that as we were seated. If a restaurant is busy, then I assume that it's because the food and service are good, which is was. “Our stay was perfect! The setting was lovely against the mountains. There was a walking path decorated with delightful sculptures around the property. Our room was large and tastefully decorated. “This place was perfect gor us to stage outings from Coopers Landing to Homer. The motel was clean with wooden floors that reminded me of my childhood cabin. The staff was very helpful. If your fishing the Kenai peninsula, this is a great place to base your outings. ”

“We enjoyed the size of the room and convenience for accessing all the fishing spots. We would recommend to have on hand some paper towels and extra trash bags. The decor in the room was perfect, gave the place a real ‘home away from home’ feeling! We would definitely return next year! Thank you for the opportunity to stay! ”
