Crystal River getaway
This property is a jewel. Interior was decorated beautifully. We enjoyed every minute we were there. The water view was totally visible from the family room area. The house was spotless when we arrived, with everything we needed for our stay. Our senior dog enjoyed the enclosed fenced yard. Can't wait to return for another visit.

A Perfect Place
Stayed 4/20 -4/25. The lake house was the perfect place for the two of us to relax and enjoy the Nature Coast of Florida. We watched wildlife from the dock and enjoyed the sunsets each evening. Windy days deterred us from using the canoe except for one quick outing. Nothing negative with the house except that which was already mentioned. We would definitely recommend the lake house to those that enjoy quiet in nature and are looking for a home base to enjoy natural attractions in the vicinity, like Manatees!

Beautiful yard and house
We had an amazing stay here. The yard and house are beautiful and so relaxing. The only "problem" is the wifi is super slow (can't stream a show without it constantly stopping, can't get pics to load on internet. Not a big deal except our phone service was very limited also). Other than that the house was great. Lots to do in the area. We made use of the canoe. We saw a few gators. There is a fence post broken and my dog got out(we put it back in the ground and the yard was secure the rest of the trip. Just be sure to check because my little 9 lb dog was checking out the water while we unpacked lol). We'd return for sure. Check in/out was easy. We appreciate finding a rental that allows dogs.

Fisherman's Dream
Love the location. The home was very clean and room enough for the 4 of us to have our own space ( so to speak). Easy check in, comfortable beds, nice floor plan, good grilling set up. The neighbors we a bit close, but no big issue with that. Nice boat ramp at the dam. Less than a mile to your dock. Bass fishing was good just 100 yards from the dock. We didn't have to go far to get on fish. I highly recommend this place as it is certainly in the right location if you want a comfortable lake setting and maybe some good fishing while you're there. Nice dining in Crystal River, about a 15 minute drive. Give it a try. I think you'll agree.

Beautiful Lakeside Nature Retreat
The house was beautiful, open, bright, nicely decorated and very well-equipped, A highlight was a little bench where we could watch stunning sunsets over the lake each night. At a very nearby park there were also paved paths through absolutely gorgeous woods and along the canal were we walked, biked and rollerbladed everyday. We also enjoyed the kayaks which were easy to get in and out of the water, even when I was by myself. 25 minute drive takes you to beautiful Rainbow Springs State Park with gorgeous springs where you can swim, walk, kayak or tube, and nearby cute town of Dunnellon where you can rent bikes to ride on one of Florida’s longest rail trails. There are also nature trails, an ancient early indian archeological site, a sandy beach for swimming, grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants in Crystal River 20 minutes away. Fabulous two weeks!!! Thank you!!!

Tranquil Lake House
We enjoyed our stay. It was only a short drive to Crystal River and the views of the lake are beautiful. We were able to bring our four legged family members with us and the fenced in yard was great for them. There are also walking trails and a boat launch just minutes away. It was a nice getaway, very quiet and tranquil.

Lakeside Sunsets
My husband and I spent a week in this Lake house. The sunsets over the lake were soo beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the dock each evening enjoying the beauty and peacefulness. The house was perfect for us. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped . Comfortable beds and nice sitting areas with lake views. We spent a lot of time in the sunroom at night listening to music and having our nightly tea. Nice size bathroom and big fluffy towels. The house was just as advertised and very clean. The location was great also. Very quiet neighborhood and 20 min to Crystal River . Our host Amy, was very friendly and easy to contact We would definitely stay here again!

Labor Day get away

Family Reunion
We loved this home for our family vacation. Everything was as it was pictured. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and his brother's birthday, so this house allowed us enough space for the get-together. The view of the lake from the dock was beautiful--sunsets were breathtaking. My teenage daughter and I enjoyed the kayaks, and she and my husband also did a lot of fishing. My only 'negative' comment would be that the wi-fi is not very fast, so this location is not for people looking to do a lot of streaming or online work. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place for a quiet get-away.

It was nice to get away - quiet area . It’s a reservoir not an actual lake and there is no fishing off shore as you’d like to believe there would be- I mean you can legally fish but good luck from the docks (gators probably slow down traffic of decent fish ) we saw 4 diff ones off the dock throughout our stay a few bass boats on the horizon so there must be some fish In there somewhere .

This property is stocked very well, was very clean and cozy. Convenient for nearby spring hopping, shopping and dining. The sunsets over the lake are absolutely beautiful. A very quiet neighborhood nestled under the trees. Would highly recommend and keeping it on my go to board!

Wonderful location
The house was very comfortable and cozy and a little nicer than the pics. It is in a great location. We were able to go kayaking at rainbow springs and silver springs which were less than an hour away with at least three other springs close by. Nice fenced in back yard for aur dogs…. Also enjoyed sitting on the peer watching alligators….

If you like old Florida, this is a great place. Quiet lake with lots of life. All kinds of birds, huge oak trees and even an alligator or two. A great back yard. Sunset from the dock is hard to beat. Cold nights around the fire pit roasting hot dogs and making smores. A short drive from town, Crystal River, Rainbow Springs etc. Amy is a wonderful, attentive host who makes the process easy. The house is nice, clean and stocked with everything you need for a relaxing vacation in the heart of old Florida spring country. We will be back. Thanks Amy.

Nice place on the water
The only disappointment here - which is totally out of the owners control we realize - was that we couldn’t put our canoe in the water here due to the poor water quality and the large mat of seaweed/organic material (or whatever you call it) surrounding the dock and shoreline. Nasty looking stuff. But still had a nice view of this beautiful and peaceful lake. We would come back.

Moving to the area
Needed a place to stay while looking for a forever home. The location was very good and our stay was relaxing. The beds were comfortable, good shower water pressure and laundry right on site. The lake view was enjoyable and the fenced yard was needed for our two puppies. Lovely cottage.

Great Water Adventure
This home was the perfect home base for us. We went scalloping and did not have super luck but had a blast and the dog loved it as well. We did see a water moccasin and a couple gators but it is wild Florida after all! We will back earlier next year.

Nice Cottage on the Lake
We enjoyed our stay at the lake cottage. I enjoyed drinking coffee by the lake every morning. We were able to cook out on the grill and enjoy the campfire. We had everything we needed which is super helpful with kids. Amy was very nice and accommodating.

On the River Stay
It was a quaint little house with older decor, but nostalgic. The backyard is the best part of the house. Right on the water, completely fenced in for your dogs, and beautiful shade from old trees. The twin beds weren’t ideal but the house was still big enough for 6 people and 2 dogs. Very well kept. We enjoyed our stay!

Safety and serenity on the lake ❤️
We rented this little house on Lake Rousseau in crystal River so I could be near my dog agility trainer who lives in the area. I was competing in the AKC Nationals for the first time. My husband was going to be flying back n forth to Pa so I needed a place where I would feel safe. I can’t say enough about this little place. I felt totally safe and secure with the neighbors being close by. SittIng on the pier each night was beautiful and watching all the wildlife was awesome! Our fav restaurant was waterfront social but we had plenty of awesome meals. One to note is the Mexican place Los Magueyes on the Gulf to Lake hwy near Publix. Fabulous!!!! Fish tacos and shrimp enchiladas.....YUM!!! This house was very clean, quiet and well appointed plus the bed was super comfy as were the couches!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone traveling to the Crystal River area!!!

Just what we were looking for!
Amy was the best hostess! She promptly answered the couple of questions we had. The cottage was clean, cute and everything that we needed was provided. We loved the artwork and the family pictures made it feel like home. We and our pooch appreciated the fenced back yard! We were able to chat a little bit with the nice neighbors, but yet had all the peace and seclusion we hoped for. The two weeks went by very quickly.

Quiet and Pretty
The property description and photos were accurate. We enjoyed a quiet paddle on the lake one afternoon but unfortunately never used the fire pit due to high winds. The kitchen was adequately stocked, and the shower plenty hot. There was a smart TV with access to Amazon and Netflix (and much more). The beds were a bit hard for us. The biting gnats (no see 'ems) attacked one calm evening on the dock, so bring long sleeves and pants. Overall, a nice stay in a quiet neighborhood on a peaceful lake.

Great location
Nice little cottage right on the lake. Very clean, and nicely decorated. Appliances like new, and kitchen well stocked with cookware and utensils. We were very comfortable there for our stay during the holidays. So nice to wake up and see all the wildlife on the lake, and the neighborhood was great to walk. Very quiet.

Happy Fall Vacation
Very well appointed unit; modern appliances. Excellent beds for good rest. We really enjoy our stay. Our puppy roamed the enclosed yard while we enjoyed the morning sun and gorgeous sunset. Our favorite room was the sunroom to relax. We shall return.

Lovely Little Lake House
We stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday and it couldn’t have been better. The house is super comfy and stocked with everything you need. The lake is beautiful with tons of wildlife. We watched the sun set every evening and it was just breathtaking. One of the best stays for sure! Thank you Amy!

Beautiful Lake Rousseau
Clean and neat charming home right on Lake Rousseau. Lots of wildlife to watch. Peaceful. Great place to relax and get away from it all but close enough to Crystal River and loads of outdoor activities.

Outdoor/ Indoor Preparation
The carport, sidewalks, and outside Patio area was not clear of debris or cleaned. The patio furniture was dirty and needs new table cloth, (torn). The table umbrella was broke. The dock area on the Lake was overgrown with Water Grasses; so thick a power motorized john boat could not be used. I struggled to roll the roll boat for 50 feet from the dock to open water due to the sea weed clinging to the ores. I was looking forward to fishing on the lake but could not. The home had electrical problems that hindered the water filtration system from working; well water. The iron in the water was heavy and after showering, skin would itch and the washing machine discolored our whites to a light beige color. I called the water filtration company that serviced the water system and was told until the electrical issue is fixed, the water filtration cycle would be out of order. The roll boat that was available for use, but had 4 holes in it where you would mount a motor. I had to fix at my expense. Also, the winch to lower the roll boat into the water was not working. I cleaned it up with WD 40 and replaced the new rope on the winch; at my expense. I also had to clean the roll boat and bought a water hose to do so, (needed a 50 foot hose). I reported all these issues to the Landlord. She apologized but did not offer to reimburse me for the rental which should have not been rented until the above issues were repaired. She advertised one thing but delivered unsatifactory accommindations.

First of all, I believe the advertising is accurate based on all the positive reviews we have received. We have had many happy guests. Let us apologize for your stay which was not as comfortable as you wanted. But with that being said we would like to address your comments. Due to the amount of large oak trees on the property, that makes it beautiful, when the wind blows or there is a rain shower,the leaves and small twigs do fall outside on the drive,walkway and all the outdoor furniture. The lake is all natural with no chemicals and the plants filter the water for healthy fish. We have not received any other remarks about the plants and visitors love the fishing. I perfectly understand the matter with the water but timely notice would allow us to repair quickly as not to stain your clothing. A financial arrangement was made to compensate you for the staining and you thanked me.. We are not sure what you are referencing concerning the 4 holes in the boat. If you would be so kind to send me more information so we can make sure it is repaired correctly. Amy Thank you for your comments,
