Lovely place to relax
Wonderful home in a remote setting. It was a great place to relax, read, fish and take walks. Drive to town was short and fun to see.

Cabin fever
Two families arrived early evening. We were all pleasantly surprised with the property. As we did the initial tour, we were disappointed we were only staying for one night. The home is beautiful. Well stocked. I’d suggest going as a group if you’re looking for entertainment as there is not really anything around. It’s also the perfect place to relax. Would recommend to other guests.

The House you've been searching for...
Absolutely incredible! My friends and I were blown away by the skillfully crafted home. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway from the stresses of city life. The rustic charm gave us the nostalgic feel of our earlier camping days while balancing with modern amenities like a decked-out kitchen a beautifully decorated dining room, and a generously spacious living room for all your group game and horror movie nights. The hosts were excellent communicators, and I would highly recommend your next stay with them. If you come, we recommend white water rafting, a visit to Peppinos, and hiking at Jensen Ledges!

Week in the country side
Cabin is very beautiful, my family had a very good time spending the week in this private cabin. The view and the privacy just makes this place a perfect retreat to disconnect from everything. Pilar was a pleasure to work with, making sure we had all the information we needed to check-in days ahead of the trip, and available for any questions. Would love to visit again in the future.

Rustic Elegance
If one were ever to describe a log cabin as elegant, this is an elegant cabin — rustic architecture with a mixture of modern and contemporary appliances, fixtures, furnishings and decor; spacious and relatively minimalist design yet still cozy and warm. In advance of — and throughout our stay — communication with Pilar was responsive and friendly. Additionally, she was empathetic and fair while we sorted through logistics when a medical emergency nearly disrupted our plans. We were greeted by a large, aggressive dog upon arrival; however, Pilar assured us it was “all bark and no bite” and quickly communicated with the neighbors to ensure it would not continue to intimidate our small children during our stay. The property is enormous and impeccably landscaped from corner to corner and throughout every nook and cranny in between. Amenities were standard; no obvious special touches, but none of the basics were noticeably missing. If you’re going out of your way to find flaws with this home, the squeaky floorboards at the foot of the bed in the primary bedroom are difficult to navigate quietly when everyone is sleeping, but one person’s complaint is another person’s charm — and those squeaky boards certainly would not dissuade us from renting this cabin again nor prevent us from recommending it to others. On the other hand, the abundance of hostile pro-Trump/anti-Biden and anti-immigration signs in the surrounding neighborhood however; those didn’t give off the impression that we were in a super welcoming community, but again, different strokes — one person’s dictator is another one’s savior. As for the things you can control, be sure to scout the nearest charging stations in advance if you have an electric vehicle and bring some preliminary groceries to kick off your stay as the closest stores and restaurants are a 20-minute, curvy drive from the house. Overall, two thumbs up!

Private retreat
We were amazed by this beautiful, unique home and wonderful property. The home is well-appointed and we had everything we needed despite a power outage due to a recent windstorm. We brought all of our own groceries and cooked our own food. The home has many high- end appliances and fixtures which we found somewhat tricky to operate but we managed. The home felt welcoming and cozy even with the fine decor. We were not worried our children would damage anything but our kids know what to expect as we are strict with our kids in our own home. The owner is very responsive. We did not explore the area as we came to spend time together as a family in the home and property, but be aware it is pretty remote. We did ski at elk one day.

Gorgeous luxury cabin in beautiful surroundings
The cabin-style house is large and luxurious. Every detail seemed to be thought through for convenience, including phone chargers. It was very tastefully decorated throughout. We used the fireplace. Because it was raining, we didn't get to use the firepits, or the grill, which would have been fun. The grounds were beautiful - the fall foliage was spectacular. There was a pond in front of the house, and I discovered an even larger one when I went hiking behind the house. The wrap-around deck on the main floor was wonderful, and the huge deck from the master bedroom on the top floor was perfect. I would love to go back and stay longer. It was very easy to communicate. Only call out is, make sure you write down the lock code to get into the house that will be emailed to you - we didn't have any phone signal in the area, until we got into the house and got on the wifi. Once you have the code, it's easy as it's self-check-in. By the way, there's a great liquor/wine store nearby - the owner had a curated selection of artisanal liquor. All in all, this place is perfect!
