Happy to stay but after check out not happy .
We not happy about real joy wristbands policy. It’s totally ridiculous and unfair policy for kids . Parents also not happy with it. Kids always like and play with wristbands. After we at home back and we received msg about wristbands. They said it’s supposed to stay in home and they asking us to send back . Otherwise they going to charge $300 . It’s just few dollar stuff and they threaten us about $300 dollar . It’s ridiculous and crazy . We send back four wristbands whatever our kids got it. Few of them in house but they saying they can’t find it. We spend in mailing $16 for sending back real joy costly forever wristbands. We never complain about his leaving room TV never work . Still they using old fashioned Tv . Hopefully they understand kids come for enjoyment. Thanks

Beautiful home, great location
While the home was beautiful, we were missing the air mattress. We called the property manager and didn’t get a response until after 1:00am. Mr son had to sleep on the floor the first night. If you need anything after 5:00p , don’t expect a response until the next day.

The property was great. The only thing that I dinged on was the stove- we could only get a couple of burners to work and struggled to get ahold of anyone. The kitchen was the best stocked property I’ve every stayed in and the condo used space super well. Would definitely come back.

Happily Ever After- a great stay for families or groups
We had a great visit to Destin. The property was perfect for two families and had all we needed for our stay. The proximity to the beach was really convenient and the walk was about 10 minutes at a slow pace. We didn’t use the beach trolley but it seemed to be very reliable as we saw it all the time in the complex. The pool was large and nice. The rules of the pool seemed a bit excessive at times and the company that manages the pool was a bit overbearing enforcing the rules, but other than that, it was super close to the house and a nice place to hang out after the beach. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to vacation for family and friends
Check in was easy. When we were unable to locate something within the home, a quick text to the phone number elicited a very quick response by the management company. Thank you for a great place to stay for the week. And the pool area is amazing! One thing I should mention to whomever makes repairs, it seems as though the middle shower (the one above the pendant lights in the kitchen/dining room) leaks. We noticed water drip down the pedestal light right after a shower but the bathroom floor was not wet.

This place was everything it advertised. We really enjoyed our stay at Happly Ever After. We love that the pool was right across the street. The beach wasn't far and the shuttle was nice because it took you and picked you up from the beach. I would definitely stay here again. The Moody Family

Summer Getaway
The house was great for our family of 5, plus a few friends. The pool was wonderful being so close to the house. Beach was a bit of a walk for the younger one but we made it work. Being close to grocery stores was a bonus because traffic (construction) was major during our visit. We really had a wonderful time.

Room for guests, but not their cars...
Beautiful house, lots of room for guests but insufficient parking. There were only 2 parking spaces for a group of 10 people! Rental office stated there was overflow parking, but it was extremely limited so we were advised to leave our other two vehicles in a public parking lot a few blocks away.

My guest and I had an awesome time but the parking could be a lot better it was so full in the additional parking area we had 8 guest and we had four car but only 3 could park so the other guest had to find a park which the security guy show them (not told them ) and they received a warning ticket if they parked there again their car will be towed. Overall we really enjoyed the house and the Neighborhood

Spring Break - 2020
So to begin with, the check in portal was not working when we arrived. After waiting on hold for more than an hour on the phone, I decided to drive to their office to retrieve my access code to enter the property. Even while at the office, the person we spoke with could not access the portal as well. During our first night, we all noticed that our feet were very dirty on the bottom. Not from walking around outside, but simply by walking around the inside of the house. The floors obviously had not been cleaned in a while and it showed. On the second night of our stay, the lights in the kitchen and dining room shorted out. After spending 30 minutes to try to locate the breaker box, I called after hours maintenance. I was on hold for around 2 hours before I finally deiced to call it a night and try the next day. The next morning, I called into the maintenance line and the call was immediately answered. The lady on the phone assured me that the breaker box was in the house and that I should look some more. After another 30 minutes of looking, and another hour on hold with maintenance, the same lady answered the call. She was able to locate a note on the record on the property that the breaker box was in an outside room that is locked and not accessible by the tenants, so maintenance was dispatched. Why she did not recognize this on the first call is beyond me. On the third morning, we noticed water coming from the center light in the kitchen (which probably explains the shorting of the lights). Upon returning to the unit later that day, we had a notice that maintenance had been by and could not find the leak (even though you could see the wet ring around the light). In addition, I asked them to check out the toilet in the hallway bathroom, which seem to continuously run, and they could not find a problem. Amazed by the lack of effort put forth by Realjoy,I decided to send an email to guest services about the issues and they sent out another maintenance person to check out the problems. Low and behold, they found an issue with the float valve in the toilet and repaired accordingly, but still could not find the leak around the light fixture. Overall, we did enjoy the house, but my goal was to be on vacation, not dealing with problems with my rental unit. I also did not expect to have to fight with the rental management company as well.

I booked this property late because I wasn't sure who in my family was coming. Older children , graduation, jobs, etc. The property was very clean and i was satisfied. The master suite is downstairs but if i had to do it over i would stay in one of the up stairs bedrooms. I could hear my family walking up stairs at night when I was trying to sleep. Also, make sur you bring your own shampoo, laundry soap, and dish washing detergent.

Summer Stay!
We loved the property, Happily Ever After! It was clean and perfectly furnished for our group of 10. The pool area was awesome, and it was great to be just across the street. The only downside is being about a half mile from beach access. We had some in our group that were not able to make the walk, but we were able to take shifts driving people down to drop them off and using the shuttle. Thanks for a great stay!

Unpleasant and uncomfortable process
While the property was fantastic, the process with Real Joy was absolutely unpleasant and uncomfortable. We did not receive check in information via email. Instead we had to go to the rental office and “present ID” to make sure we were who we said we were. The day after check-in someone from the office comes by unannounced to make sure there was an adult present EVEN THOUGH THREE adults were on the trip and had come to the rental office to check-in. Susie, one of the workers, was not pleasant. My family and I felt profiled and a bit harassed. We spent too much money to have to go through all of that. Will not be using RealJoy again. Horrible experience.

After checking into this situation, this home does not allow groups of adults under 25 and that information is on all of our marketing materials. When our reservations team checked into the ages of your party, we found that the ages were 25, 23, 19, 16, 16. According to our policies, we could only allow your group to come with the presence of a parent. Most of your group was underage, so we were concerned about protecting the home for our homeowner since they have expressly requested that we not allow young groups. We did not charge your group the additional fees we typically charge groups of your age and only requested that a parent be present but we did require that you check into our office and present your drivers licenses. If we had done anything less, we would have been neglecting our duties to uphold the homeowner’s wishes. We hope you understand and thank you for your feedback.

It was a lovely house for 3 couples w/babies, but, not big enough for 4 couples, the pool was nice and was enjoyed by young & old alike, it was a short walk to the gulf & is in a convenient location w/restaurants & shopping nearby. Our main concern was that we did not hear back from Real Joy Vacations or from VRBO when I tried to contact them & when my husband left a phone message the first day w/Realjoy (the number that was printed on the refrigerator) and gave the exact problem, gave his number. He said that refrigerator & freezer weren’t working properly. Some of our food spoiled & ice cream melted. We would like to understand why & believe we deserve some type of refund for our food & our trouble (especially the $101 service fee, which we feel we did not receive good customer service). Otherwise, was a beautiful home & very comfortable.

Beautiful Home!
We loved the house! “Happily Ever After” is large enough to accommodate any family very comfortably. It was very clean and supplied in everything we needed for our stay, including children forks and plates. Beautifully decorated! Spring Break 2019
This was our family’s first time to Destin, FL, but it will not be our last. “Happily Ever After” was large enough to accommodate the ten of us very very comfortably. It was very clean and supplied everything we needed for our trip. The beds we very comfortable to sleep in as well. The very minor issue that we did have was handled very swiftly and professionally by the staff. The pool was the perfect temperature and had no problems fitting the many people who occupied it. Even though there were many people there, it never felt overcrowded, and the families there are very courteous and friendly to one another. It was a wonderful experience and We will definitely be visiting again. The beach was beautiful (but freezing due to the time of year) and we absolutely enjoyed the short walk to/from it every day. We also highly recommend taking a walk (or drive if you prefer) to The Crab Trap for lunch or dinner. The food, atmosphere and service made this the perfect dining experience. Thank you for making this spring break a very happy, fun, memorable one. We will be back!!

Pooltime Fun!
If your family loves the beach, this house is not for you. Happily Ever After is about 5 blocks away from the public part of the beach, so if you are carrying a lot of things, walking can be a hassle. However, this house is very close to the pool, and the pool is really nice. Our family of 8 fit perfectly in this house. If you plan on cooking, bring a family skillet.

Summer vacation with the grandkids!
We really enjoyed the house, community, pool and beach. The grandkids really enjoyed the pool and the older one enjoyed the volleyball area too. We had never stayed off the beach before, but the trolley made it really easy to get there. We did walk it a few times too. The house was very nice. The only thing I did not like, were the mattresses, they made a squeaking noise every time I moved, so I wasn't able to sleep well. I would highly recommend this community.

BEAUTIFUL HOME!
We really enjoyed every inch of this house! Luxury at its finest. The neighborhood/ pool area is nice and quiet. The location is perfect blocks away from the the shopping quarters and the beach. Would definitely recommend for any family vacation!

Great Location!
We had a wonderful stay and will certainly look to book this location again when we are in Destin. It is directly across from the Destin Commons area and approximately 4 blocks from the Crystal Sands beach. The unit is clean, well furnished, and has all you need for great stay. Do not let the map fool you. You can walk to the beach in 6-8 mins using the back entrance to the complex. The pool/hot tub is very nice. You simply can't beat the location!
