Beautiful surroundings and hotel decor. Excellent staff. Would have liked an evening meal. But knew when we booked there was only breakfast. Which was excellent.

THIS HOTEL IS TIRED WITH VERY OPPRESSIVE DECO. STAFF WERE VERY FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. OUR TOWELS WERE REMOVED ON DAY 1, ALTHOUGH WE HUNG THEM UP, AND WERE NOT REPLACED. WE HAD TO REQUEST MORE. BREAKFAST IS VERY POOR. SELF SERVICE OF ALL ITEMS EXCEPT TEA AND COFFEE. VERY BASIC

Very beautiful and quiet gardens around the property. The hotel is also very close to most of the attractions.

After 2 weeks in Ireland, finally a spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, hot shower and lovely few out to gardens. No restaurant but take away delivery options enjoyed in the bar was perfect for us. Good parking too, Organised a breakfast take away pack for us as we had to leave early. Very impressed with front desk service.

Nice place to stay
Lovely walk up the drive, beautiful grounds to walk around. Room really spacious and modern, very clean. Nice welcome from man on reception. Good buses into town. Only downside was not enough other guests, to give it a buzz. Would stay again.

Nice rooms and friendly staff. Shame they don't do evening meals and the pool was closed, but it does say this on their website. Black Bull pub, 15 minute walk away does good food, or the hotel will let you have takeaway in the bar. Would stay again.

The property is being updated, so the communal areas are not yet completed. They are, however very clean, so I’m sure once the updates are completed, the aesthetics of the property will improve. It’s a lovely property with potential.

Lovely stay but Restaurant closed
Enjoyed our stay at Boyne Valley - room was great - bed really comfortable and enjoyed a great night's sleep. Disappointed that the restaurant was closed and we had to eat elsewhere - a fact that was emailed to us after we had booked.

The Hotel was fine. But Apple Maps misplaced it into a private residence a street over. We had to figure out where it was likely and make our way there to find a sign to the hotel. It's easy to get to actually, but its annoying not being able to rely on the GPS to get there!

Disappointing
I was rather disappointed. The hotel is in various states of disrepair, the room was pretty nice but exceeding hot. So hot it was uncomfortable and only one small fan to try to cool it. The continental breakfast appeared good but was pretty dry over all. The hotel is operating as a B&B only and is obvious fallen upon harder time's i honesty would recommend just finding a AirB&B.

While the property was nice, the room was inferior. The mattress was very hard, pillows were lumpy and the sheets were scratchy. The room was uncomfortably warm and we could not get it cooled down. The bathroom was missing toiletries normally expected in this price range hotel. Staff was pleasant and the property was clean. Breakfast only fair. In our 10 day stay in Ireland, this is the only property we had negative comments about.

Has a lot of potential. But for the price compared to other hotels in the area, very disappointing. Hairs in bed, stained toilet seat, smell of smoke in room. Evening staff tried their best to address these issues. But the stay was tainted.

This was the worst hotel we stayed in during our visit to Ireland. It is old and rundown, though the surrounding gardens are beautiful. I imagine that once they finish the renovations, it will be worth a visit.
