Only a short drive to the city delights of Porto (I recommend parking in Matosinhos and catching public transport or the hop-on buses) and Viana do Castelo worth a visit."

"This apartment is on the 1st floor. The main living area is open plan and was plenty big enough for our family of 5. It has everything you need for self-catering. 2 double bedrooms on the main level, but also a double bedroom in the attic area - along with a surprising amount of extra space, which is mostly unused. The apartment is part of a block of about 20-30 similar ones. Many seem to be owned by locals but quite a few were empty, so were probably holiday homes, too. We were there slightly...
