Glacier National Park, family cabin. Southern border off US Highway 2

This newly remodeled year round home looks directly into the Glacier Park. Its always a great place to stay when visiting Glacier. Early season when the Going to the Sun Road may not be open over Logan’s Pass the cabins location is perfectly situated to access both sides of the Park! It is two stories with two bedrooms up stairs, a king room and a queen room. Downstairs there is another queen room, the kitchen/dining area, bathroom & living room.

It’s uniquely decorated in Montana decor inside and out. There is a BBQ area on one side of the house and a fire pit area on the other with plenty of seating.

All towels, linens, comforters, blankets, kitchenware, pots & pans, utensils, refrigerator and microwave are new.

The location looks into Glacier Park from the front and goes into the National Forest Service in the back.

The house stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The house is a great spot to enjoy the park, but not the crowds. You can do a full circle tour of the park from this location. Two Medicine is very convenient as is the east side of the park from here. There are hiking trails located close to the house, rather inside or outside the park.

West Glacier, East Glacier and surrounding areas can be very hectic, this location is not. In the winter it’s considered very remote. In the summer it’s located conveniently next to Glacier Park. In the spring it’s a unique location to access both the east and west sides of the park especially if the Going to the Sun Road hasn’t opened yet!
A new game room with a pool table and a foosball table has recently been added.

Terrific Location between West and East Glacier
Quiet cabin right on Route 2 between West and East Glacier. Nicely secluded from the crowds inside the park. Loved the decor and amenities! I was concerned that the trains or road noise would be too loud but this was entirely untrue. The trains were charming and the road noise was negligible. I’d love to stay here again in a future visit to the park

Super location, everything you need!
We used Bill’s cabin as our home base to explore the Glacier from the West entrance (45 min) and Two medicine (45 min). Last day we made it to the East entrance in an hour- so perfect for getting to most of the park easily. House is well stocked, plenty of linens, comfy beds and nice big dining room table. Great stay!!!

Excellent!
This cabin was the perfect location for us to land after our many miles hiking and exploring GNP. Because we were centrally located, we were able to visit the south, the east, many glacier and west entrances. If you are not able to stay inside of the park, it’s important to succumb to the reality of driving. The cabin is situated right on the highway which allowed for easy access. We were able to get to trailheads before 8am no problem. The cabin was also very clean, beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was stocked for all our cooking needs. We loved the cabin vibe and the kids loved the game room. The cabin stays cool, no worries in summer months. Also, while the cabin is close to the hiway and that is communicated, I would tell you not to worry about noise. The windows can be shut and it’s hardly noticeable. Bill was also an excellent host. Responses were immediate and kind. He even stocked water for us, which was a bonus. I would recommend this place for sure and would absolutely return!!!

"Uncle Bill's Cabin" is a gem for any family lucky enough to find it! We had an amazing time there. The house is large and very comfortable, nicely decorated and everything you need is there, I mean just about anything! The location is perfect for seeing the park and the views getting there are just as amazing. We really enjoyed playing pool, etc. In the detached game room and had a campfire each night under the amazing MT big star filled sky! We will definitely be back and hope to meet Bill. The house really reflects his love of Montana and the GNP area.

Cozy cabin getaway
Great stay for parents with 2 college aged children. Comfortable living room for hanging out together, comfortable beds to retreat to at night. Loved using the grill for our dinners. House is well equipped. Everything as advertised. Internet is inconsistent (also as advertised) but it doesn't go out for long periods, more like 15 secs and then it comes back (so it really didn't affect email, websurfing etc, but isn't appropriate for streaming). Owner left a very useful orientation letter which included closest places for gas and groceries, which is important because this house is pretty far from amenities but on a major road. Easy to get to either side of Glacier National Park, and also easy closer access to rivers and creeks off route 2. Communication with the owner was excellent. The only (very minor) drawback was that road and train noise might be a problem if you are very noise sensitive at night. Or, you might really enjoy seeing the trains go by!

Uncle Billy’s Cabin- Worth it!
Wow! What a great stay at Uncle Billy’s Cabin for a week long hiking and fishing trip. The location was outstanding to access either side of Glacier National Park. The cabin itself was well stocked with an abundance of new cooking utensils, silverware, plates, cups, and even napkins! The appliances worked like a charm, especially that new grill which contributed to some outstanding burgers! Could not ask for a more relaxing cabin to return to in the evening after a long day out in the wilderness. The ability to stream Netflix was a nice bonus along with the comfy beds! Bill was a great host to communicate with prior, during, and even after our stay at the cabin! Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin for the week! Additional Notes: Logan's Pass is 2 hours from either entrance. East Glacier Park Village is 20 minutes. Two Medicine is 45 minutes. St. Mary Entrance (Going to the Sun Road) is 60 minutes. Many Glacier Hotel is 90 minutes. West Glacier Entrance is about 40 minutes. Lake McDonald Lodge is 60 minutes Avalanche Lake is 80 minutes Apgar and Apgar Lookout are 60 minutes Polebridge is 90 minutes
