Unique property with lots of possibilities! We were thrilled to find an affordable place to stay as Eugene was sold out for UO family weekend. Bring your own pillows if you are driving in. The house and furnishings are tired. It’s all very oddly decorated and old and not particularly comfortable, but a place to sleep which is what we needed. The pillows, bedding, drapes and living room furniture desperately need replacing. Hosts were extremely communicative and very thoughtful.

Very nice place
We really enjoyed our time and the place is beautifully located near riverfront access. It is a real farm-house clean but dont expect super modern. It is interesting to see the international ties. The people are very nice so recommend this place!

Farmhouse get away
Great location near Eugene, but sure felt like your miles away on a farm. Great front porch to sit and drink your morning coffee while listening to farm wake up. Fun to experience living on working farm. This is a true country farmhouse experience with acres of gardens, rosters, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats etc, not a resort style accommodation. Fun to walk around farm, talk to farm crew and easy walk to river.

Perfect for Nature-Lovers and Adventurers
We knew we found the right place when we pulled in to park in the carport and saw the elaborate rickshaw. This fascinating house is filled with wonderful treasures from all over the world. Some of my favorite things were the very snuggly bed in the master bedroom, the outdoor patio with table and chairs, and the river access. The setting is a classic Oregon organic farm, complete with goats, chickens, turkeys, horses, and pot bellied pigs. Easy river access with park-like grounds and proximity to great hiking and dining make for a truly enjoyable vacation. Our dog loved it as much as we did. The owners were wonderful - helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. We will definitely stay here again.

Quiet days at the farm
This location was perfect to get away with a friend for a couple of days. The farmhouse was clean and had everything we needed- kitchen appliances, comfortable beds, great shower! The main amenity was the farm dogs who showed us to the swimming hole (shout out to Abeline and Atticus) :-) host was communicative and available by text for any problems. Otherwise we had the run of the place. We loved our quiet days at the farm!

The wild turkeys were fun to watch. We had to wash all dishes they had a scum on them. Lots of cobwebs and dirty windows We we’re going to vacuum (we had dogs) but the Machine was full of other people’s dirt Yuck. Nice being on a farm again and close to the river

Beautiful Setting
This is a great place to relax! It is exactly as described - not luxurious but clean and cozy. You will get to see an operating farm and you can get as involved as you want (or don't). The location is awesome - we used it as home base for checking out University of Oregon and surrounding area.

Beautiful Home, Gracious Host
My husband and I were in Eugene for a very short time, but would highly recommend this beautifully decorated farm house to everyone! We had complete privacy, but were welcomed to walk the entire amazing property and our kindest host was immediately available if we had any needs, which we did not. Extremely thoughtful and a perfect example for VRBO.

Loved this endearing home and it’s environs
Shaundele was very responsive and my friends and I loved staying at this home. The love the owners have put into decorating this place with all their art from their travels makes for a unique experience. Having great organic produce so close by on River Road is a treat. We didn’t get a chance to explore the land or rivers nearby much, but loved the turkeys, dog, roosters for company. The style of the house is of a certain time, so it’s not about the mod cons, but the experience of ‘warm and cosy’. The place is large and well equipped with all that we needed. Thank you!

Didn't get to know the farm at all. A pity!
We were only at the farm late each day due to business constraints, so we didn't get to appreciate it as we might have otherwise. The house was clean and comfortable, though dated, but the travel decor made it special. It did lack a good reading lamp in the living room. Regardless, it was wonderful to have such a quiet place to wind down at the end of the day, and the owner was most accommodating.

Stayed at this property during a large volleyball tournament. Wish we had more time to explore the farm. Even purchased delicious eggs from the farm! The girls loved the décor and the fact that we could get away from the insanity of the tournament. Owner communication was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great Experience!
This was a perfect find for us. We wanted to get away, relax, and decompress while visiting our daughter in Eugene. We also needed a space that would be great for our dog, where we could spread out a bit, and do our own cooking. This hit all the marks and more. We had a great time exploring the farm and learning about organic farming--my wife and son even had a chance to volunteer one morning and enjoyed the experience of working with the animals and learning about some of the different techniques. Our dog loved having a small yard to play in, and we all appreciated access to the river. It was just a very enjoyable and unique experience that we look forward to repeating when we come back to Eugene.

Cute Spot
I loved that it was tucked away from the hustle and bustle. It’s such a gorgeous home. You can really sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. There were some places that could really use some cleaning, a lot of dead bugs I found throughout the home. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing time at the Farm House
We wanted a place near Eugene, but away from the city and near nature. We found the perfect place. I loved building fires and sitting about the table telling stories and playing board games, the kitchen was perfect and we cooked all our meals there. The farm house is located on 30 acres next to a river. It rained while we were there, but it didn't stop us from have fun. We meet many residents horses, turkey's, goat and were visited by 2 adorable cats every morning. We also needed a place to bring our dogs with us, and it was perfect for them. The owners responded to all our request and helped us with all of our needs. I can't say enough great things about our stay. Suzie Graf

I was extremely disappointed
When we arrived there was a fork and some crumbs on the counter in the kitchen. The windows were very dirty and the dishwasher as well. We had trouble with hot water in the shower on the second night, the faucet was on backwards, however even after letting the water run, it took a long time to get hot water. When the owners son came up to look at it he seemed very irritated that we had not figured out. Talking to the owner later, she said that there had a been a sign up " I guess it wasn't there" the bathroom sink faucet leaked and the chain on the toilet broke or slipped off... again I felt they were irritated when I mentioned it. The house is very sparsely decorated and not conducive to a small group of women visiting without bringing all the furniture out and rearrange. I was just very disappointed.

House is great for earthpfriendly visitors
I really enjoyed the scent-free sheets and towels and the Mrs. Meyers soaps. The house had basic essentials for cooking like oil, salt, sugar, etc... although we didnt cook, it's a nice option. High quality coffee grounds were provided w/ a maker and the water from tap tasted good, being from a clean underground water table. We met the hostess and she was very welcoming and open to making sure we were comfortable : ) I would have used the meditation/yoga room if I had time.. it's connected to the upstairs bedroom and nice. I like that it is a shoe-off home so that the carpet stays clean. The decor is interesting w/ ethnic items. The home itself is only 50 feet from the road so we couldn't let our dogs run since there was no gate. There are friendly dogs so if your dogs are not friendly, you can't let them wander except in the far off areas indicated in the binder. This is a rustic, minimalist type of home that is not fancy, and many features are original and not been updated. It was clean on the most part and very quiet. The roosters are at a distance and you can hardly hear them. I wish I had more time to roam around the grounds and see the working organic farm. I am so grateful to organic farmers for being good stewards of our land, water, air and beneficial microbes! They are my heroes : )

Response from VrboOwner on Mar 26, 2020
This home is a part of a 30 acre no-kill organic farm. The house and acre are for the use of the renters, but the rest of the land is owner operated. Guests are welcome to walk down and enjoy the river but we do not allow fishing. This guest's grown son was adamant about fishing and became very aggressive when told it wasn't allowed. He did threaten that he would take action against us, hence this negative review. Our living room furniture is original from Bangladesh, some people feel it's uncomfortable, so we are double padding the main pieces. Other guests have not had any issue with our beds which are high quality mattresses.

Peaceful
I was looking for a quiet spot not too far from all that Eugene had to offer, and this was perfect! The farmhouse was modest but spacious and had everything we needed. No frills, no TV's (that is a good thing - really). The farmhouse has fast internet, so I was able to do the work I needed to do on my laptop. I enjoyed strolls around the farm animals which included a flock of domesticated turkeys, about 15 horses, a few sheep, and a few dogs and cats. The picnic table by the river was one of our favorite places to relax. There is nothing like a chilled bottle of wine and watching the river and the clouds roll by. The owner was gracious and considerate of our privacy and made us feel so welcome. We had wonderful organic fresh eggs for breakfast every morning and enjoyed the company of Atticus the handsome collie who is King of the farm. We will definitely consider this house as an option if we travel to Eugene again!

disappointing stay in Eugene
Unwilling to use some amenities: 1. Shower was moldy 2. coffee pot smelled bad and was dirty 3. would not use kitchen because of ants 4. fridge and freezer were not clean Other issues: 1 windows, screens and window tracks were filthy 2 dead bugs in window track and on floors upstairs/ 3 laundry room dirty and dusty 4 needed a thorough going over to make clean 5. bathroom sink drained very slowly 6. The air conditioner covered the living room only. I had requested air conditioning and was informed that it was air conditioned. The bedrooms were too hot for sleeping. My wife and adult daughter refused to stay another night so I rented hotel room for them.

Great stay and kids enjoyed!
When we first pulled in we didn’t know quite what to expect. The house seemed a bit worn from the outside....however, once through the entry way, all of a sudden you’re in a spacious living room, wonderfully deforated from trips to India and Asia. We had little kids (6, 3, 2 1/2, 16 months) so ended up moving anything breakable to the upper shelves. We stayed in summer so the upper floor was a bit hot, however, the owners had installed AC on the first floor which was lovely to have. The farm is great! The kids loved seeing the horses, turkeys, chickens, dog, and new puppy. The river was fun to swim in and cool off. The owners even have a menu offering farm fresh smoothies and organic eggs. It was a great stay and we would certainly book it again!

Privacy and quiet at this off the beaten path farmhouse
Had a very quiet and restful stay at this quaint little farmhouse outside of Eugene. We were in town to visit family and didn't want to stay downtown at a chain hotel surrounded by college students. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. My daughters loved the flock of turkeys that came to visit each morning. Just a short walk down to the river.

Nice farmhouse in a quiet setting!
This farmhouse is as the owner has described it in the listing. It is in a very quiet neighborhood and just a short walk to the river, which we enjoyed doing. With a little notice to the owner you can have a smoothie and organic greens delivered right to the front door. It served our needs well and we would book here again.

Peaceful Escape
This is the perfect place for an introvert! Its quiet, and peaceful. Yet it isn't far from a store, and only 20min drive to down town Eugene .Take advantage of the farm, and walk around, but please read the rules. The House: Its older so don't expect anything fancy. Everything runs and works great! The wifi connection is fast! Down Load:47.95 Mbps Upload:6.01pinging at 8ms. We only slept in the Masterbedroom , and the bed is comfy. Also even tho there are Rooster on the property you wont hear them until after 8, and that's if you're in the kitchen with the window open. Also the house stays cool in the summer. We only used the A/C that's in the living room when it reached over 90. At night it cools offs(Aug 2017) Pets:( upon approval ) They must stay in the kitchen, laundry room or garage area(it was big enough for our 3 dogs 2 large 1 small) They have a large pen to the left of the house that they can run around in. They're allowed on the farm but must be on a leash at all times. (wouldn't want them to get the chickens or get hurt) You can walk them down the street that leads to a trail that takes you to the river. It was a boat landing so the first 1/2 is shallow then it dips down. The water is very clear so you can see where it does. Our fur babies loved it! but please don't under estimate the waters current Shaundele The owner lives on the property, and respects your privacy. Shes very nice, and welcoming! Try her menu you wont regret it! We can't wait to go back, and visit her and her farm.In the morning you can see the horses gazing the land from the kitchen or living room along with the turkeys. Small wild birds come and eat off the land as well. Atticus the Elglish Collie is very friendly. He protects his family on the farm by making rounds by the kitty house, chickens, and horses. He also loves showing you the river that runs along the back of the farm. which is very quiet. You can even Volunteer to work on the farm with the other Volunteers which was very fun to do!

Take advantage of the property and walk the grounds. You'll see farm animals and a terrific English shepherd dog. Atticus, the dog, can lead you to the river which is a must just to watch the river flow. There's a picnic bench for you to sit.

Farmhouse along the rive
I enjoyd my stay at this vintage farmhouse. It is spacious and clean and in a very quiet location. There is a pasture along the river which is glorious. There are plenty of utensils in the kitchen and a nice dining area. The only drawback is a bathroom very much in need of updating. The shower is very cramped and there is poor lighting and a small mirror and ancient toilet and sink. I would stay here again, but I see room for improvement.

Great getaway
This is a wonderful place for anyone who wishes to experience serenity, yet still be within a few minutes from everything Eugene has to offer. Certainly nothing fancy, but just right for those who want to be in nature and enjoy conversation without electronic distractions. We were three mature couples, and we enjoyed having our own bedrooms but a common living/conversation space with a cozy fireplace. We prepared and ate some meals at the house, which is furnished well. Shaundele was a gracious host who was very good with communications. We enjoyed the home's furnishings from around the world and the opportunity to explore the farm, which has a remarkable frontage on the Willamette River. The upstairs futon was a little thinner than expected, but other than that the accommodations were quite comfortable. Terrific value.

Lovely farm house minutes away from Eugene.
It was so relaxing to get out of town and sit in the quiet solitude of a charming farm house. The house itself is eclectic and fun with different geographical themes, fun books and artistic expressions. The outside is full of animals and the river and a beautiful setting. We hope we can stay again and again.
