Beautiful House & Property
Took the grandkids and pets and had a wonderful time. There were only four of us but there could have been 8 more and it still would not have been crowded. The house is plenty big, very clean and decorated nicely. The property is huge. There are two walking trails practically at the end of the driveway. The pics are accurate. It was nice and quiet. Restaurants within 10-15 minutes away. I never left the place. I just sent the grandkids to get everything we needed. Had to make them useful. All in all it was a wonderful time. Even my two dogs had a great time. Plenty of room for them to explore. Only 1 thing i would like to see improve, and I am pretty sure this is the case with most of the rentals in the mountains, is the internet speed is slow. Not sure anything can be done about that. It works but not that great. A little boost would surely help. It wont stop me from coming back. Which we will definitely be planning to do soon. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home.

Surprise Birthday for Mom
Wonderful home/cabin. Plenty of room for everyone, 7 of us. Beds were comfy, a big win. Kitchen was a great gathering spot. We went hiking and just spent time together at the cabin. This may become an annual trip. Recommend a few more chairs at the fire pit, and include wood for visitors.

Girls weekend
We had a wonderful girls weekend with plenty of room! We went to Bryson City for the train ride and spent the day in Dillsboro shopping and dinner. The house is spacious for everyone to spread out and it's stocked with everything you could possibly need! The house was spotless and very comfortable. Beds and bathrooms were great! Waterfall hike was close to house and not all that difficult for us beginners. Location of house was close to town and major highways. You wont find a better home in the area to visit! Great memories were made and we appreciate the owners sharing their beautiful home!

Great location. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of gathering areas for large families. The bedroom over the garage could be improved for sleeping by installing at least a queen size ned. Beds need upgrades.Week was very peaceful, weather was wonderful, Would recommend highly.

Perfect location
We were looking for a cabin in the woods not too far from a city but not too close, and where our dogs could roam and enjoy themselves and we could relax and take a stroll in the forest with them and friends. This house is perfectly located for all of this. The house is wonderful. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Lighting is bright. Bathrooms have been remodeled and super clean. The yard is large, with plenty of room to spread your wings and relax. We wish we could have stayed longer. The town of Franklin is up and coming and has many things to see and do.

Undeniably Cozy Cabin
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The cabin and property are beautifully decorated, maintained, clean, and convenient to nearby shopping, dining, and outdoor activities. Highly recommended.

Hidden Gem
This is such a beautiful place with amazing views of a lush , well maintained yard. The creek running through the property is so relaxing to sit by with a good book. And the waterfall near the property is a added bonus. Will be back!!

Wonderful rental
The property was just beautiful, plenty of trees, a brook and a right near the trail with a waterfall. The house was just beautiful. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was fully equipped. The appliances were new and upscale. The beds were very comfortable. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Nice house for family or group
The house was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The location should be desirable for families and others who want to spend time together. Lots of room outside for kids to play, etc. The porch was a nice place to enjoy the mountain mornings and evenings. Travel to other attractions might take a few minutes but the location was very convenient for our needs.

Family Vacation
This is the place for hikers. Entrance to Bartram right on edge of property, 10 miles from AT. Plenty of yard for kids to play. We did gem mining, white water rafting, trout fishing, ate at local café, played at playground with small water park, and we enjoyed the games provided at home. We even attended the local carnival that was in town. We were able to have our dinners at the house with plenty of cookware. Only thing missing was a highchair.

The house and property are perfect for a family gathering. There is no need to leave the property. You have a stream, woods, fire pit and gazebo at your fingertips not to mention the BartramTrail and waterfalls next to the property. No one in our group wanted to leave this special place. It is enchanted.

Wonderful place
Had a little difficulty finding the property due to my gps, but instead of the address if you type "batrum trail, Wallace branch". It will lead you right next to it. You don't want to miss this property. Very spacious and comfortable inside and tons of room with a big yard and a big fire pit to enjoy the mountains. The trail beside made it so easy to go on hikes and if the kids were older we could have hiked more of the trail, but it was super easy and enjoyable to get to the waterfall with a 3 yr. Had a great fall break and with seeing tons of leaves. A beautiful drive to highland nc with stopping at waterfalls, downtown Franklin is so sweet and had a great lunch, and the gem mining was very entertaining

Thanks Deann, we are glad you enjoyed the hiking near our spacious creek side home and property, along with the fire pit; downtown Franklin and Highlands, NC. We can't emphasize to all our Guests enough, please follow our directions. GPS is often limited here in the mountains.

***House was so clean and lovely ! Great porch.*** -We loved being at the Bartram trail head. A well maintained trail that apparently goes for 18 miles to the Wayah Bald fire tower. We just went 2 miles to a nice overlook -Easy drive into Franklin and beyond. - Well stocked kitchen with exception of food storage for leftovers, spices and cereal bowls BUT it is a vacation home - Indoor fireplace did not work during our stay, manager suggested using the outdoor fire pit -Cute studio over the garage- my teen loved it. We would recommend this home . -

Thanks so much Lori for the nice review and recommendation of this beautiful home by the Bartram Trail. We're sorry you missed having use of the indoor fireplace...something no one has asked for previously since our summer temps have been in the 80's and 90's. Our fireplace works perfectly throughout the cooler seasons. We hope you were able to enjoy the outdoor fire pit. It is an awesome setting under the stars. Also, we leave no consumable food products in our rentals for reasons of food safety and sanitation. Again, thank you for the good thoughts.

Beautiful property
This property is beautiful inside and out. The updates to the home were well done and there is plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen has all necessary cooking items, but make sure you bring any spices you need, including salt and pepper. The beds are comfortable and the linens are very nice. This house has a lot of extras, such as a full basement, beautiful gazebo, and very nice fire pit area. There is plenty of space on the porch that wraps around three sides of the home. The creek adds to the enjoyment of the outside space. The trail close to the home is nice and the waterfall is a very short walk! There are many great things about this home that will make you happy to stay here. The only thing lacking was the internet. It was very spotty. This is a mountain area, so that is expected. The home was easy to get to and had good parking. Would definitely recommend this home!!

Our Family Serene Get Away
We all arrived at 40 Cricket Lane at different times of the day and all commented on how perfect the house was for our family to come together for a a few days of good food, adventure and lots of laugher. The place met our expectations. So room, so clean and so mountain house feeling. The property is beautiful and just as described on VRBO. Hope you love your stay as much as we did.
