A Cozy A-Frame near Patoka Lake and French Lick

This amazing property is great for your family festivities, fishing/hunting trip, or a simple relaxing get-a-way. It is 5 minutes from Patoka Lake, 10 minutes from downtown French Lick attractions, and a half mile from beautiful Tucker Lake. It suits a romantic get a way for couples, family, or group up to 6 people. Book with us now for your much needed retreat.

The home features a fully stocked kitchen, 4 Bedrooms, a full bathroom on the main level and a half bath upstairs. There is a large back deck providing plenty of room for grilling and entertaining. It also connects you to a separate room with card table, kids pool/ping pong table, and full toy chest for the littles. (Jacuzzi not for guests). The large living room is ready for you to relax with family and stream your favorite shows. Walk out of the master bedroom to the upper level balcony to enjoy your coffee and great views of the beautiful hard wood forest. The spiral staircase leads you to two bedrooms, each with a twin bed and one with two arcade games (Galaga and Streetfighter) and the other room having a TV. Driveway in front of home offers plenty of parking along with another driveway that provides covered parking under carport.

The house rests on 30 acres of woods. There is a mile loop of moderate hiking trails leading down to a stream with a cool rock shelf. Trail is shared with seperate rental home in case you see other guests.

A-Frame
House was very comfortable. Surrounding area was extremely peaceful. Family was a little disappointed because hot tub was out of commission. Our oldest brother would have enjoyed it especially after golfing. We hope to continue our family reunion tradition and use your unit again next year.

Beautiful A frame, lovely, cozy warm decorations and plenty of room for the 4 of us. Hot tub was lovely. Our only suggestions and they weren’t big deals but maybe a shelf and hooks in the upstairs bath for placement of “stuff” and a later check out time would be nice. Overall the best VRBO I’ve stayed at yet! Host was easy and gracious.

We had a wonderful stay! The space was clean, kitchen well equipped, and hot tub was a great perk! Loved the fully enclosed deck to keep little kids safe! A word for parents with small kids. I didn’t understand that there are 2 different upstairs, so rooms were a bit far apart. Bring your baby monitors and you can make it work!

Lovely Stay!
We loved staying in the house! It matched the listing description and was just such a cute, nice house. The hot tub room was a plus, along with the two decks off the back of the house. It is very secluded so the privacy aspect was great. It was about a 12-15 minute drive to French Lick which we liked not being so close to town. Well made home with all the amenities. Will stay here again! Thank you to the host!

The home was even better than the pictures! Very clean and the kids couldn't get enough of the hot tub and arcade games. We were blown away and it made the home part of our vacation, not just a place to rest our heads.

50th Birthday Girls' Trip
I rented the A Frame near Patoka Lake with some girlfriends for my 50th birthday weekend. It's a cute little cabin that offers a nice living area to relax and watch movies, a dining area that was the perfect size for game night, a fully stocked kitchen if we had wanted to cook anything while we were there, and enough bedrooms for us all to have our own space. While we didn't take advantage of the hot tub because we were too chicken to run back across the snowy deck in our bathing suits, it did look inviting. We took full advantage of the coffee station before heading into French Lick for breakfast at the resort. The cabin was an easy commute to the local wineries, a cute little ice cream shop and woodcarver's store in town, and the historical tour we took at West Baden resort. I would point out though, it is on a small country road with a hill so if you're traveling in the winter like we were, the roads might seem a bit nerve wracking, The upstairs rooms get quite warm with the heat on so you might consider a small fan, and for a girls' trip, there are a limited number of outlets in the bathroom and bedrooms for chargers and styling appliances.

The WiFi connection is good. House is quiet and private spot away from neighbors. Short drive to Paoli, west Baden, and French lick. The downstairs bedroom does not have a tv, which was fine because there was only two of us and we stayed in the upstairs room.

Fantastic stay
This was a surprise birthday weekend for my 26 year old son. His fiancé and brother and I planned a golf outing at one of the beautiful courses in French Lick. We found this incredible home to stay in while we were in town for the weekend! I think we may have enjoyed our stay at the house just as much, if not more than, the golf! Just as described in the listing. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub was great after a chilly day on the course. We will definitely stay here again!!

Awesome private getaway
This place was amazing and very private. The hot tub was fantastic. I’m not a fisherman but this spot is only a couple minute from tucker lake and I heard the crappie fishing is great. We had plans to drive around and explore the area but no one in the group wanted to leave our private little forest. if you’re feeling a little adventures check out the hiking path, it’s a little hilly but the scenic views make it totally worth while. If you want private, peace and quite, and close to french lick, patoka, or tucker lake it doesn’t get any better! Wifi is solid, beds were soft, and the neighbors were far away. When we are in the area again we will be staying here.

Great house near the lake
This is a really cool house!! Exactly as advertised plus more. My kids loved it and didn't want to leave. Only potential thing to mention is that King bed upstairs is a little firm. I like a firmer mattress so I was able to get great sleep, but I'm sure some would find it a bit hard. Again, very lovely home! My family and I will definitely stay here again.

This property was everything we hoped it would be, and more. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of special touches and amenities. Location was perfect; close to the lake and a short drive to town. We especially enjoyed having our morning coffee on the beautiful back deck. The scenery was spectacular, and it was very quiet / peaceful.
