We had very enjoyable and relaxing stay in Puerto Caleta Hotel. The location was great on the main street near to the beach and all shops and restaurants around. Very close to the airport. Very friendly staff. Thank you.

Nice apartment; local bars close quite early
We had a nice quiet apartment with a huge balcony which was good for sunbathing. The stairs made carrying large or heavy things a bit awkward but it didn.t cause any real problems. The local bars mostly shut around 01:00 but we could have a late drink on the balcony after that.

Room was very good size, location is fairly central and easy walk to restaurants and shops. Hairdryer available but you have to rent it. Safe is free. Pool area lets the place down.

Overpriced and In need of modernising
Stayed here 5 years ago and nothing has changed, rooms very basic, have to hire kettle and toaster which are basic needs, beds were comfy. Shower door was dodgy, the tray filled up every time you had a shower to the point it overflowed, reported twice and twice came out to look at it but didn't fix it. Good location but has building work behind it making relaxing around the pool hard, overpriced in my opinion as lots around more modern similar price.

Do not pay for this rundown complex acomodation! Everything inside needs reparation or replacement. Floor tiles got loose, shower cabine had cracked base, bed matresses was stained all over, etc. Bugs everywhere ...

Stayed here for 3 night's. If you're looking for a clean, cheap place to stay that very close to all amenities then this is the place. As long you're expectation aint to high ascthe price reflects the basic condition of the apartments.

Great location, lovely pool, poor apartment
The apartment is in a perfect location. The pool area is really nice. Lots of sunbeds and reasonably priced pool bar. All the staff were friendly. However, our room 38 absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke. We bought a candle and kept the windows open but it was ingrained into the fabric. The apartment definitely needs some upgrading. No hairdryer either. Id stay again but check out my room before agreeing to it.

In need of an upgrade but value for money
For the price we paid for 11 nights over New Year of just over £750 I would say these apartments are good value. The staff from reception to on site pool bar cleaning and maintenance staff all work extremely hard. The apartments are however very dated and you need to pay to hire a kettle or toaster. There is a microwave provided but for me I’d rather have had kettle and toaster provided. However there is only one plug in the kitchen area so you can’t boil the kettle while putting on toast. The bathroom really needs a facelift with cracked tiles and the shower head was not really suitable. The towels provided could also do with an upgrade as very hard and thin. The cleaning staff do a fantastic job giving that they are keeping clean old shabby and in some instances broken tiles. The grounds are immaculately kept however the entrance to the apartments and the reception area have a very unkempt appearance. The pool area is quite crowded and some sun loungers need replaced. I would suggest some time could be taken from groundskeeping to address some of these issues. All in all you get what you pay for we wouldn’t stay again but got what we expected.

We stayed for 1 night.It was clean but probably wouldn't stay for whole of my holiday. Property needs updating. Our room was very close to a busy street ( I mean you walk out from the room straight on the pavement) so difficult to sleep.

Not where we should have been
We were told on arrival at Puerto Coleta that we were being relocated to the sister hotel only around 200m yards away but not a patch on Puerto Coleta in location. The hotel manager had no idea why. Coleta Gardens had none of the ambience or class of its sister hotel with very basic apartments and extremely noisy late into the night. Overall disappointing! and not up to your usual standards.

A cheap break in the sun.
The apartment was a bit old and tired but very clean,for what I paid this was exactly what I expected,the pool area was lovely and we could always find a lounger,the location was perfect being a mere 1 min walk to supermarkets, bars ect,for a cheap break in the sun I would highly recommend the Puerto caleta.

The website showed all apartments as having a balcony with sun loungers, my apartment was on the ground floor out the back facing away from the sun in complete shade with no outdoor private space, I shared a communal space with 2 other apartments. The apartment was very dark and cold and the bathroom, kitchen and work surfaces were crawling with tiny ant like creatures. The safe, tv remote, kettle and toaster all had to be rented.

I bed apt was alright was clean but basic,there are no balconies at this property which is a big disappointment most ground floor rooms have a terrace which looks right on to the street with no privacy at all

I don't understand the negative reviews this place has got. It is clean, staff are lovely and it's close to the beach,shops and there is a great bar with live music every night. Yes it is a wee bit dated so if you want five star then pay the prices for that but if you are happy with clean and great value for money then this is the place to book

The hotel is pleasant enough without being anything special..to be honest i did book it as a very last minute break but still thought it was quite pricey for literally a room(no breakfast). The pool is nice,although hotel 'bar and restaurant' is a bit of an exaggeration in my opinion? However must say the staff were friendly and location is very good.

I can't vouch for Peurta Caleta as I arrived at reception to be informed I had been moved to a sister hotel, Caleta Garden around the corner. In fairness they did offer breakfast in the price as compensation.

The mattresses in our apartment need renewal. I would have liked a kettle and a toaster in the apartment as well. But the location was very good, going in December the weather was great. Plenty of places to eat out or if you wish, plenty of shops to buy your own food. We also hired a car, prices were very reasonable.

Amazing stay - top class service
I just returned from a long weekend at Puerto Caleta - trying to escape from the depressing English weather and of crazy busy London. With my experience of being Guest Relations Manger in one of London's top 5* luxury hotels, I am very service oriented where ever I go and we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the great service we received throughout our stay. The Hotel Manager, Ibra, is extremely service minded and any questions or assistance you need during your stay, he would love to assist. He speaks German, English and several other languages fluently and is hotelier that truly cares about his customers' experience. We had the pleasure of staying in one of Puerto Caleta's new refurbished apartments - minimalistic and Scandinavian in its style - which you should all look forward to staying in once all apartments gets refurbished. The rooms were nice and clean, the location of the place is great. 7 minute walk to the beach and its right in the middle of the small city center with shops and restaurants and supermarkets all around you. The pool is lovely and you can stay there and tan all day if its too windy to be on the beach. There is a bar with lovely cocktails - the pina colada is amazing! Also, the restaurant "El Capitan" is just next to the hotel and they make amazing tapas, service is also top and great atmosphere, so I would definitely recommend a dinner or two in this lovely gem. The apartments are very easy to get to from the airport by bus nr 3.

The pool area was really clean and tidy. The rooms were very dated but adequate for what we wanted. The room was cleaned every day. It was excellent value for money. Just make sure you do not stay on the ground floor if you like your privacy.

Good value and well located with pool. We had a good apartment with private balcony overlooking the pool. Unfortunately there were some people who insisted on playing loud music by the pool during our stay which was slightly intrusive. But overall a good experience

Nice, simple, clean self-catering accommodation.
Booked last minute and got an upstairs, first floor twin-bed apartment with shared seating area/verandah. I was travelling solo and found it to be a very convenient location for proximity to everything including a very popular and tremendously cheap on-site Bar/Cafeteria. Short walk (no hills or steps) to beach, shopping area and several supermarkets. All the main restaurants and cafe-bars (or Tapas etc) all within 5 minutes.

Clean but basic hotel close to everything
Very convenient location close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and bars. Short taxi drive from the airport. Nice swimming pool. Great staff. Bar with daily live music, yet orderly and not intrusive. Very good price. Very clean everywhere. But accommodation is very basic and dated, although clean and with comfortable beds.

It was a nice stay, not far from the beach at all. We walked to the beach and your are central to all cafes and restaurants. The hotel was very basic, for a self catering it could provide cleaning products to wash your dishes but they came and tidied your room every day which was nice. people are very friendly!
