Would definitely stay here again
The condo was clean, with all of the necessities. Atmosphere of the building was quiet and beautiful. We went in mid-May to avoid crowds and were fortunate to enjoy the pool and lazy river with very few others around. Easy walk to the sea wall and drive to the main attractions, yet not located in the busyness of the area.

We loved the condo and the location. Loved sitting on the balcony with coffee in the am and drinks in the pm. Loved the access to the beach for walks at dusk. The lazy river was amazing. We had a very enjoyable stay and if we are ever back in that area. We would book again.

First time visiting Galveston and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Our 14 year old really liked the lazy river and game room and my wife and I liked the hot tub. Condo itself has lots of space for only being one bedroom and everything we needed for a 5 night stay.

Little To No Customer Service
The Diamond Beach resort was beautiful. However, our experience with the concierge team and the disconnect between them and the management company for the unit made it very hard to resolve some of the issues we had upon first checking in. There was an issue with the hot water and rather than sending someone to help us figure out what the problem was, they directed us first to “run the water for a half hour and it should heat up” and then when that didn’t work shifted the responsibility over to the management company. The management company, Vacasa, was completely unhelpful and not able to get somebody to the unit until halfway through our second and final day of our weekend stay. I recommend the Hamiltons find a different company to represent their interests at Diamond Beach. I would not recommend booking this particular unit or anything else managed by Vacasa.

Fun times regardless of weather
Winter break for my grandkids was a HIT! The weather was cold and windy but this condo and resort had plenty to do without needing to get in the outdoor pool or playing at the beach. Kids loved the large heated indoor pool, the parents and grandparents love the awesome hot tubs. We had a great time playing in the game room and watching moving in the theater. We can’t wait to go back in the summer and try out the spectacular pool, lazy river and slide. Such a spacious room with views of the ocean and the pools. Loved this place!

Amazing property!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The furnishings are beautiful. The property is so nice you feel like you are at a 5 star resort! All of the amenities are awesome. The view of the ocean was spectacular and the balcony was nice and big. The entire condo is really large which is fantastic. Bed is very comfortable. Love the washer/dryer! We definitely will be back.

Restful vacation
We made plans to return to Galveston. This resort is beautiful. The unit is spacious for 2 people. I fell prior to our trip so I had difficulty with the tall tub. I plan to return to this resort.

Diamond Beach Condos are Beautiful
There is so much to do at this property--wish we'd had more days for our getaway. Five swimming pools counting the lazy river and the very large heated indoor pool. Kid's game rooms. Outdoor grills if you are so inclined to cook in one night. Condo was super large and clean. Huge balcony overlooking the Gulf. Very comfortable King-size bed (beds are so important and some VRBOs just have lousy beds). The bedroom closet was so large that it accommodated a queen-size air mattress and my grandson claimed that for his room (or cave as he called it). The TV didn't get a lot of stations but then MSNBC was really all I needed (got that one). The wine glasses and coffee cups were stored out of my reach. I'm only 5'3" and there was no step stool/ladder (but wine is still wine even when drinking out of a juice glass). I was convinced that the owners must be giants because I even had to climb up onto the dining table chairs and then jump out of them. The one thing the place really needed was a light blanket for the bed as it got pretty chilly at night with the ceiling fan going (a requirement in my book). There's only a very, very, very lightweight bed cover--can't even be classified as a quilt/comforter/or blanket. It was more like a heavy sheet. I would definitely stay in this unit again. It's located right at the very end of the sea wall so it's super quiet and relaxing.

Family Fun
We rented for a family get away with our group including adults, teens and children. The property is beautiful. There is a lot to do for everyone with our favorites being the beach and the lazy river. Accommodations were great. Bedroom space is a little tight but we were only in those rooms to sleep. Had a plumbing issue but owner resolved quickly that day. Would stay here again.

We had so much fun! Condo was very clean and spacious for our family of 4. The beach access, pools, game room and cinema were awesome!! We had a small hiccup with not having the right linens for the pull out couch, but they eventually got them to us. Would have been nice to have some extra hand towels and blankets, but overall a great place and we would go back.

We have stayed at Diamond Beach a total of four times and in this unit twice. There is a new owner (the Hamiltons) since our last stay so the furnishings are a bit different. Our daughter was very comfortable on the fold out bed. A very nice unit, good balcony. No problems of note during this stay; just some suggestions. We did not receive any laundry detergent (have gotten enough for 1-2 loads in previous stays). It's helpful when there is a laminated booklet with the on-site amenities, polices, etc. (not a must or a big deal but we had to go to office to inquire about grill/cabana rental price). Bedroom is spacious and nicely furnished although the bed itself was not particularly comfortable. As always, great amenities at Diamond Beach, highlighted by the spectacular pools and lazy river. Game room on 4th floor. Movie room on 3rd floor. Nice gym.

After reading the previous reviews, I was a bit skeptical going in. Let me first say, that everything that past reviews have commented on not having/needing (more basic amenities aka soap/extra towels/pillows, coffee, paper towels and much more) have definitely been addressed and fixed. Second, the room was spacious and cozy. The furniture is nice and the bed is comfortable. Everything at the hotel was up to expectations as well. Will definitely book again!

Beautiful place, strange rules
Beautiful condo, great view.. Best unit we have stay in in Galveston and we come here every year to race. However management at this property seemed to fixate on strange rules to enforce such as us removing an exterior bike rack on our Jeep, ticketing us and telling us they would tow our car if we did not remove it and place it inside our vehicle. This was a new, very standard, normal bike rack. We were here (as many many other athletes) for an Ironman race on the island and have to bring our bikes to race.. We were told at check in if we flip it up it would be ok which we did. Very strange item to be harassing guests over. Overall the people working here did mot seem welcoming.

Great Style in a Dream Location
This spacious one bedroom condo was a pleasure to spend time in. The high ceilings, solid stone floors, and tasteful, refined furnishings were better than we could have imagined. The protected balcony, large walk-in closet, and full size washer/dryer were icing on the cake. Beautiful grounds and convenient beachfront location made all the difference. Highly recommended.

Great condo community below average unit
I have stayed at the Diamond Beach Condo's on a few other occasions. The grounds and amenities are fabulous and are the reason we try to book a trip here once a year. The unit we booked this time was on the lower price point and now I know why. This unit has dated decor which I was aware of before booking but all the other misses were a surprise. There was no soap in the bathroom, only 4 towels for the 4 guest staying 2 nights, no coffee offered and the coffee maker is not a Keurig. The patio was filthy, as if it is never cleaned between stays. The shower/tub area offered 3 empty dispensers, no soap or shampoos offered. There is onsite laundry but not a single pod offered to wash a load. This is definitely the worst unit to rent at Diamond Beach. All the other host at this condo community offer all the basic items you would expect at a hotel and at beach property like coffee, extra towels, soap and shampoo. I needed to get a little work done before we hit the beach. There wasn't even a note with the wifi access details. I had to email the property to manager and wait for a response just to get wifi access. All in all terrible host and absolutely my worst experience at this Condo community. My advice book another unit. Again the grounds and amenities are amazing but this unit is quite awful.

We really enjoyed our stay overall. This is a nice, roomy property. The only negative aspect are the resort fees, which are frustrating because a lot of the amenities are "hit and miss" in regard to when they are available. For example, the slide and bar are only open for certain hours and days. The beach access was great!!!!

The property was not clean, they would not allow us to check in a couple of hours earlier because of "deep cleaning" despite the fact we had little kids. When we arrived to the unit inside was clean but balcony was trashed with broken glass pieces, my kids almost cut their feet, empty beer bottles and lots of trash. I called the maintenance and was told to be contacted in an hour, nobody contacted us. The lock to the balcony door was broken, dangerous for kids, called to report, nobody took any action. Access to the beach is bad, no ramp for disabled and elderly, just a sharp walk down the hill, difficult with beach stuff, I am surprised they have not built a ramp especially the property is being advertised as Luxury.

Beautiful condo! Our visit was in the beginning of April, so the pools were too cold for us but the view was awesome and the condo had everything we needed. The pullout couch bed could be updated and the dryer in the unit left our clothes smelling musky. But the amenities in the condo made up for anything it might have lacked the game room was great for my 2 teenage boys during downtime!

Nice condo and communication & checkin/out were convenient. However, unit is more "spa"-y than expected, and not what I wanted from a VRBO. Also distant, about 3+ miles from "heart" of Galveston. Minor nuisance that there was no bath soap, just hotel sized tubes of shampoo & conditioner. Overall it is nice, but not what I was looking for, and therefore I left thinking it was a bit over priced.

No luxury at this condo!!!
This property is called C Mai Luxury but it is anything but that! We had originally booked our stay for 5 nights but checked out after 2 nights because of the horrendous condition of the condo. Where do I begin to state the numerous things that we found wrong with this place? First of all, the sliding patio door on the balcony didn't lock, so that was a security issue. And you couldn't put a security bar on the door because it was placed on the outside rail of the door instead of inside where it belonged. The inside of the rail door was filthy and looked like it had never been cleaned. The balcony was very dirty and the paint was peeling off of it. The balcony glass had bird droppings and dirt on it making it not very appealing to look through. The mat outside of the balcony door was very worn and dirty. The storage box on the balcony was filled with old pillows, a moldy canvas covering, a bucket and some toys which was not very appealing to cause someone to use any of this. The balcony walls were dirty and moldy telling me that the condo hadn't been well maintained. Now for the condo's inside problems: the baseboard on the wall directly by the sliding glass patio door was rotted and moldy obviously from water that had seeped into the condo through the patio door. The thermostat had a connection failure reading on it after it had been recently replaced. The bedroom lights, including the ceiling, table lamp and closet lights, were flickering on and off which posed a fire hazard. The safe in the closet was non-functioning due to the pins being stuck in the closed position. The table fan in the closet was very dirty along with the linens and pillows that were stored there. The inside of the bathroom door was dirty and the molding paint was peeling. The bathroom mirror had black marks on it where the glass was peeling off of it. The soaker tub and shower combo was a safety hazard because the tub was too high to step into safely. There was no safety bar to hold onto to get in and out of the tub. This was a big safety issue! The water filter in the fridge hadn't been changed because the red light was on indicating that it was due to be replaced. I called the property manager, Stephanie, on Monday telling her about these problems. She asked us what we wanted to do and I told her that we wanted to check out on Tuesday because we weren't comfortable staying there. She agreed to this and stated that we would get a refund.

End of summer family retreat
We were invited to join extended family by renting a condo near them at the resort. We were thrilled by the attention and safe distancing capacity at Diamond Beach. We felt safe and almost like we had a private retreat. I LOVE the lazy river! =D

the issue was with the sir conditioning having to deal with a drip bucket staying in the room for several days while people tried to fix it and then when someone came out the last time we had 2 drop buckets so we finally just dealt with that
