My first night the power went out in my villa. It stayed off until I told someone about it the next day. They couldn't get it to work so they moved me villas. I asked for a ticket to take a boat back to Bali. They told me it would be a 2 hour ride and it is not the ferry. It was the ferry and it was a 4 hour ride. Not to mention the WiFi is absolutely awful. a phone call is impossible at this location. I walked down the beach to a cafe and they had better service!

I really wanted to like this place.... the value for money is just not there compared to other places on the Gilis. The staff tried to be helpful, but the service was overall slow and disorganized. The restaurant is very overpriced and again the service wasn’t great. The pictures are very deceiving and the room was definitely less than clean. Stayed in a pool villa which was nice but again, the pool wasn’t clean. There are a couple of really great restaurants and bars just up the way that make up for it. Overall I would not stay there again.

Incredible location, right on the beach. Restaurant was brilliant, with a great variety of foods to choose from. Villas were lovely. Relatively basic accommodation but on a tiny island and for the price we paid we couldn't have asked for anything more. Would definitely recommend and return.

In general, the service was not up to par to other places we stayed despite being the most expensive place we stayed. For example, we had staff calling us at 10 pm and waking us up over menial things. Private Pool was nice until it turned green and staff tried to blame us for putting do not disturb when in fact the pump did not turn on. Multiple power outages in the middle of the night causing the air conditioning unit to turn off. Air conditioning unit beeped in the middle of the night like a fire alarm with no way to turn off. Also, full of dead cockroaches. Minimal hot water. Restaurant was over priced and food was not cooked properly (steak and fish were raw). Do not eat at the restaurant for the fire dance. They upcharge food for the event fire and dancers were hotel staff in jeans dancing to contemporary music. Do not rent anything from the stand on the property. Walk 10 more feet and rent for 2/3 the price and much higher quality. Biggest perk= Two Brothers Restaurant next door. Excellent service, excellent food, and high speed WiFi.

Nice hotel in a peaceful area of Gili Meno. I would recommend this hotel if you want to relax. The beach in front of the hotel is not ideal to swim but the nearby beach is good for swimming and snorkeling.

Rustic hotel in Gili Meno
We stayed in the suite with private pool for 5 days. The room was rather small, but the surroundings and the charm of Gili Meno very much made up for it as we rarely stayed in our room during the day. It was obvious to us that the hotel was still recovering from the recent earthquakes as there were constructions going on around the property. However, the contruction noise and activities did not affect us too much. We ate almost all of our meals in Gili Cafe, the only restaurant in the hotel. The food was good and in our opinion, better than most cafes and warungs on the island. The beach in front of the resort was clean, quiet, and had plenty of loungers during the day. Snorkeling hotspots, however, were quite far away from the hotel. We had to walk about 15-20 minutes up north, near Mahamaya or Seri, for snorkeling. The hotel staff was friendly and always catered for our need upon request. There were small hiccups, which I don't think were hotel's faults, like intermittent power, internet, and water outages during our stay.

Cute little beach villas
This is a cute little resort with a great view of the beach and sunsets. The room was very comfy and clean and we loved our small pool and patio area! It's on the west side of the island so you do hear some noise from Gili Trawangan at night, but you do see some beautiful sunsets from the beachfront!

When we arrived we sat down to check in, they told us to wait 10 minutues while they get the room ready we waited about 45 minutes and I finally asked the staff if the room is ready they told me there having a difficulty with the air conditioner and they’ve sent an “engineer” to fix it please give them 15 minutes after about 2 hours of total waiting we went into our bungalow and the ac was not working. We talked to them again and they tried to reset the air conditioning and told us to wait additional 20 minutes. 20 minutes later it was still extremely uncomfortably hot even the staff said it’s to hot. After I walked up to the front desk and asked for another room they said they only have 1 room available for 1 night and we could sleep there but would have to move back to our original room the following night. I asked the staff if they think it’s right for a paying customer to have a room without air condition and they replied with a yes. Offered for me to pay to upgrade to a villa. One nice person ended up resolving the issue and giving us the other bungalow but all this took a little over 4 hours which is the last thing I wanted to deal with during a vacation.

Great Stay Great Staff
We had a great stay at Avia Villa resort. Adit was a great manager really friendly and helpful ! The other staff also made a great effort speaking to us and making sure we had everything we needed - Zack was very helpful ! The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The towels were a bit stained however I think this is due to being on a remote island so it did not bother us too much. The food was very good and reasonable. We would stay here again !! Thank you

The Hotel is ok, but the food is very bad, I tried diferent dishes in the menu and everything wasn’t tasty. Worst food ever! Also they served a spoiled coconut water and charged anyway. In the last night, my husband ate a pasta and next day was sick, couldn’t enjoy the day and eat, because of his stomach. The service in the restaurant is also horrible, they treat the customer diferently and don’t pain attention on your requests, i.e: pancake came without chocolate, omelette that I asked without red peppers came with red peppers. Very disappointing!

Review of Avia Villa resort
Lovely private little villa complete with mini pool made for a very romantic stay on our honeymoon in Gili Meno. Staff were wonderful and personable, always greeting us and offering to help. With a pool in main reception area and good food, it made for a great stay on the peaceful beachfront overlooking Gili T in the distance.

Nice villas on the beach
My visit April 5-11th 2018 was exceptional, from the staff, villa/spa location, to the locals you are in constant contact with, I would highly recommend Avia villas. What ever you need they will go the distance to accommodate. You will honestly love the staff, so friendly and just down to earth people. I highly recommend going to Gili Meno and staying here at Avia villas

This place could be amazing, but it isn’t. The island is so nice, but the hotel falls short on many fronts. It is not clean, there is very loud noise from the neighboring island, and the restaurant food is dull. They have good intentions and are nice people, but simply not skilled enough. There are better places to stay on Gili Meno. And also don’t trust them to book transportation. It is overpriced and they promised a nice car and we got one without a seat belt for the kids. Dangerous!

Nice hotel at the beach
We stayed 2 nights at Avia. Good location, not too far from the harbor but still at a walkable distance in a very calm area. The room was good, even though I didn't like the bathroom (too many mosquitos had straight entrance through the gap between the wall and the ceiling). Nice restaurant, but a little pricy compared to the quality of the food. There was a lovely beach in front of the hotel where you could swim, watch the sunset and also swim out with your snorkeling gear to see a shipwreck.

Closest to the virgin Beach, affordable luxury
We booked a private single room villa with attached swimming pool. The overall experience is wonderful. The food in the resort is a bit costly. We made most of the free breakfast. The room, decor, villa, pools, etc are super clean and staffs are very helpful. The bathrooms does have every facility except the hair dryer.

Nice villa close to the beach
We stayed 4 nights at Avia. The villa was nice however it’s smaller than it looks. Good location from the beach and within short walking distance to other restaurants and bars. The villa’s restaurant does a great evening BBQ, probably one of the better ones in the island. Other than the grumpy reception on arrival, the staff were lovely and friendly. Overall, nice place but a little overpriced for what it offers.

very nice hotel apart from the mosquito
the hotel provided us a very lovely stay, with the perfect sunset at the beach. the room is fairly clean. but what bugged us most during the stay was the mosquito, lots of them. we understand that it’s located on a tropical island, but because the bathroom is a open, in the morning, there are dozens of mosquitos. the room also has mosquitos which was why we asked for some bug spray, and was provided with one promptly. but would hve been nice if perhaps hve those electric mosquito repellent. overall a very nice stay.

Quiet, Peaceful Relaxing Stay near Bali!
Villa was amazing. Quite, peaceful, loved the private pool. Room very clean, super affordable, will be returning on another venture to Gili meno. Since the trek to Gili's was pretty easy, it's definitely a recommended trip for anyone going to Bali. And if you want a family Resort where it's quiet, or a romantic getaway Meno is the island you want. And the villas at Avia are the perfect getaway.

Best sunset on Gili Meno
First time on Gili, too much sand everywere and too many bugs and mosquitos. Best place to see the sunset! But to far away from good reefs, good beach and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpfull (to friendly for us, just wanted to be alone), the food was good and prices fair. The room was dark and a little too small for us, expected something bigger. I would still recomend this hotel, but not as a 4* hotel.

Resort is located far from the harbour and all the nice places to eat. Resort looks run down. No privacy as the bamboo front door doesn't even close and remains half open. Pool was dirty. Staff weren't helpful. Overpriced, there are far better places to stay on Gili Meno for far cheaper.

From what we have seen walking around Meno, adeng adeng or kura kura seemed like cleaner, better settings than Avia for the same price range. Don't get me wrong we had a decent stay, but the villas need a good lick of paint, new plumbing, and AC that actually blows cold air. The villas aren't actually villas by the way, more like tiny bungalows in rows, as villas would include private gardens. Service was lovely, very relaxed and always the lovely Indonesian smile. Food was alright, you have to give them credit for being able to work with limited resources being such a small island. The french family who owns the place should pay more attention to details and refresh the worn linen and towels and make sure the shallow pools around the bungalows get a bit of a clean. And also invest in a recycling system or disposal system to avoid the stink coming out of the bins and dirty pond at the back. Cute, but definitely not what you'd expect for this price range

Avia Villas was a real treat....We had a great time and Marco is such a great host..Super friendly and just a super nice guy!!We stayed in a one bedroom Pool Villa. The only thing that I will mention is that it would be nice to have a drying rack for wet towels etc in the villa...there is more than enough space outside. The One Bedroom Villa is not that spacious and with two big suitcases its difficult to maneuver around...Other than that we had an awesome time!

Exceptional Stay
The resort was on the most beautiful beach front location, it was clean and pristine, and better than most I saw walking through the island. The staff was beyond hospitable and accommodating. They remembered our names and even set up activities for us we were interested in. Our waiter set up a snorkeling excursion for us! The food at the resort was delicious, the pool was in the front by the beach, and the rooms were quaint and comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay and recommend it for everyone! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on the island. I had such a memorable experience and hope to return one day.

Gili Meno is beautiful and Avia is on the quite side of the island but still within easy walking distance of some nice bars and restaurants. The resort is lovely but food and drinks are really overpriced and breakfast is really a let down, very disappointing.

The pictures on the website are, obviously, from when it was last cleaned or new. Either way they're very old. The hotel is very tired. The room was basic, the bathroom even worse. On arrival the first thing you smell, unfortunately is urine. We had most of the wildlife on the island in our bathroom. There were big gaps around both bathroom and bedroom doors. We spent most of the night dealing with mosquitos. Judging by the state of the mosquito net, we weren't the first to have done this. The breakfast was below average. We, thankfully, only stayed a night but made the mistake of eating in the hotel cafe. They had a BBQ on that night. We choose a fresh fish and the veg. The fish was cooked to the point you couldn't separate the flesh from the bones and the veg was cold and only half cooked. There's a much better place up the coast!

Way overpriced and disappointing
We had high expectations for Avia based on the pictures and price we paid (nearly $200/night), however, this hotel just got one thing after the other wrong. Here is a run down of our experience: - The internet was almost non-functioning and so slow that we could barely load emails - The air conditioning kept the room just barely cool enough at night once the sun went down, but during the day when we tried to rest and nap the room was too hot and the AC wasn't strong enough to cool it - Both times we ate at the hotel restaurant they overcharged us on the bill for drinks we didn't have - Service at the restaurant was painfully slow and the food was fair - Breakfast was included but it was pretty meager and not something you would look forward to... they didn't even have orange juice - At 5 pm my fiancée and I called the front desk and asked them to call for transportation to take us at 5:45 to the restaurant we had reservations at in order to watch the sunset over drinks. They said they would, but when we arrived to reception at 5:40 they had not called anyone yet to take us and we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come and take us to the restaurant on the other side of the island, causing us to miss the sunset. The hotel wasn't even apologetic when we explained that this was very disappointing - The room only had small bath towels, and didn't even have hand towels for the bathroom. The towels had stains and were air dried but were still damp and smelled moldy

Amazing villa hotel located on the tip of Gili Meno. Over all great stay. - Good food - Friendly staff - Amazing beach location - Nice and updated villas (best on the Island in my opinion) - Bikes for rental at the front desk Dream vecation!

The quiet side of the quiet island
Gili Meno is the quiet island. Avia Resort is on the quiet side of Meno. So really really quiet - except at as for a while there is some noise all the way from Gili T. Walking into town is easy. The resort reef has the best snorkeling around the island. Turtles, octopus, unicorn tang, mantis shrimp, crabs, etc. At low tide there are tide pools to explore. Avia's cottages have private salt water pools which are great. After walk and coming back all sweaty one can just strip off and jump in. Note toplessness/nudity is not accepted on public beaches. There is a restaurant on site but visit other places to a get feel for the island. Getingt to Gili Meno is easy but if coming from Bangsal be aware of the touts for the boats. Go directly to the office on the beach. If coming from Bali the fast boat is 90 minutes or more and it can be a very bumpy ride.
