"A cozy little cabin in the Adirondacks! It was a great base for our explorations, and a lovely place to rest when we weren't adventuring! The wooden ADK chairs on the sunny porch and relaxing hammock were favorite spots! Touches like having games, walking sticks, and even a guitar available made it feel like home. Our host was responsive with communication, and all the information and suggestions throughout were very thoughtful. Will keep this on our list of favorites!"

"Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!"

"This was my first time booking a property on Vrbo and the whole family (2 teen boys) was just thrilled with our stay. It had all the things we love about camping but didn’t get a chance to do this summer — grilling, sitting around a fire, beautiful riverfront view, tons of room to run around and play frisbee, volleyball, etc. Super cozy and clean inside and stocked with everything we needed. "The property is not very well sound proofed. Being in one of the first rooms down from the front desk and across from the laundry area I heard people checking in late and the staff preparing for the day early. The rooms do not have closets so hanging up clothes is not an option. I also wish they had jelly in the breakfast area. This is the second year I have stayed here for the New York Bigfoot Conference and I will return for year three. The staff was friendly and efficient."

"The hotel has a nice restaurant, bar area and outside firepit area. Everything seemed clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that I booked a room with two double beds via Expedia and received a confirmation back that the room had two double beds. When I called the hotel, however, they said there were no rooms with two double beds and instead the room had one double bed and pull-out couch with could serve as another bed if needed. I said that is not what I booked and they told me that it was a problem with Expedia and not the hotel itself."

"We were so impressed by Paul and his kindness and his skills. His breakfasts were beyond delicious and left us full for the better part of the day. The house is gorgeous and the history makes it that more amazing. I know as Paul gets more and more of the renovations done the house will simply be awe inspiring. We couldn't have had a better “first” Bed and Breakfast experience. We recommend this place 100%."

"We enjoyed our stay at Our Happy Place. The accommodations were quaint, cozy and extremely clean. The check in was simple and communication was excellent. I messaged Kimberly a few times and she responded almost immediately. Although the cabin is on the same property as the Host’s house, we never had the opportunity to meet them. They gave us our privacy and we respected theirs. Our stay was for a long weekend in the off season so the lake area was quiet but still beautiful. We would highly recommend this property and would return for another stay in the future. "
