Unit need TLC
This is in a great location to go see all of the water falls. But, this unit is in need of some TLC/Updating. The kitchenette is original and show it's age. The mattress on the murphy bed is cheap and uncomfortable. The bathroom had a odd smell and the sink was slow draining.

A fine stay
Had a decent stay. Place was very clean and excellent location. Things to know ahead of time: You will have to make your own bed There is no mattress pad (i used the comforter under the fitted sheet in place of) The building is great. But it is old and very very loud. I was able to hear the folks above me's every move until 3 am every night. Overall a decent stay and would stay again if im looking for an affordable lutsen stay with a great location.

The property is at a great location and the unit was very reasonably priced. Unfortunately there were a number of detractors, 1-2 would be expected at the price point. The toaster fell apart, there were no filters for the coffee maker, the dishes had significant soap scum so had to wash them before use, no dish scrubby to clean them, no body wash or soap, switch panels were dirty, towels were oversized hand towels, mattress in poor condition, shower curtain a little tangled mess, broken cupboard, water kettle chrome was rusty and delaminating, etc. We made do, but would rather have paid an extra $20/night for which just my stay would have paid for most of the expense to bring the place into order plus a little TLC.

Great location to Lutsen Mountain. Definitely could use some real good cleaning. Also the property said no pets but the rug by the fireplace was absolutely covered with animal hair and as someone that has allergies to cats and dogs I would have appreciated honesty in the property listing because had I have known there were animals in the unit I would have selected somewhere else to stay. Or if the property was just cleaned a bit this wouldn’t have been much of an issue.

Beautiful location
The setting was beautiful and restful, the unit is very functional, the kitchen was very much so and appreciated. The murphy bed is a little small for two larger adults and the pull out mattress is very thin with protruding springs. It should also be noted that the unit is also on the 2nd floor with no elevator. While we where there, there were many young families enjoying the beautiful pool. IMO, The unit is in need of a deep cleaning and some updating.

Needs updating and cleaning
We stayed at this place for music festival and loved that but very disappointed in the place we stayed at. It’s owned privately and they have not updated. They did acknowledge when I listed problems but not sure of follow up. Flooring felt dirty. Linens were not nice at all. Murphy bed was suppose to be most comfortable but it was not. Coffee grounds left in machine and molded. And it smelled like urine to us. I could go on but I would not recommend this until they look at these issues.

Great location!
Perfect location for day tripping to my favorite parts of the North Shore. Clean and comfy unit with a nice deck view of surrounding woods, hills and a bit of The Lake in the distance. Poplar River's May flow was high-sounds of the rushing water could be heard/enjoyed from the deck. Dennis was quick to respond to text questions. I will definitely be back!

Did the trick for a good ski vacation
As the listing will say, nothing fancy here, but cozy and did the job. Spent a great weekend skiing and was able to bring my dog. Would stay again.

We love the little condo. One thing might be a firmer mattress on Murphy bed. The pull out couch needs to be flexible to fold up but between we needed to sleep seperatly since both matresses are so squishy. Besides that the place is great Thanks!

Economical place on ski grounds
Loved being able to ski on the runs right outside the building, so that was great and the price was very reasonable BUT, you need to do a serious deep clean in and around furniture, closet, behind tv area where some serious dust is & Outside of oven. Bathroom sink needs to be unplugged. Outside we had a great time!

Hillside & Hot Tub!
We had a 2 day rental and it was just right. the hill is out the back door and the hot tub is up the hall. The winter views where amazing but I imagine the summer and fall views from the patio are breath taking. The reserved parking spot was very close to the entrance making it easy to un-pack and pack.

Great budget friendly option - ski in/ski out
Nice place, can sleep 4 adults. It was right next to the River Run off the ski hill, great location. Only negative is the pull out couch mattress is very uncomfortable, would recommend brining an air mattress to use if needed in addition to the Murphy bed. Also, the blankets we used had dog hair on them, which transferred to our clothes. We would defiantly stay again, Dennis was great to work with and you cannot beat the price! Next time, we would just bring an air mattress and our own blankets and be good to go. Would recommend!

The room was definitely a good value. It could’ve been cleaned better (stuff on carpet, ash around fireplace, wall in bathroom by shower had a lot of dust and hairs). However it was still a decent place with a gorgeous view. Had everything we needed.

Perfect for a ski weekend!
This is a great rental for a ski weekend at Lutsen! Very close to ski in/out to Moose or Eagle mountain. Full kitchen with all essentials provided. Clean space. Comfortable Murphy bed and couch. Property manager was informative and prompt. We would definitely stay again!

Nice little get away spot
Perfect little spot for our annual get away. Nothing super fancy, but everything was clean, worked and met our standards. More roomy than we'd expected! Nice view, great deck area, easy access to hot tub/pool area & dining. Overall a good deal for the price!!

Did the job for what we were looking for
We spent 4 nights here while doing some hiking and golfing in the area. We were looking for something dog friendly so I’m thankful this was available. Pros: Location was great! It is near the golf course, hiking, food, winery etc… The view off the patio is nice—overlooks the pool and playground. The patio is also huge and very comfortable. There are a couple chairs and a small size table on the patio but it’s covered so if you want to hang out on the deck in the rain or keep some items out there, that works perfect. It’s dog friendly—this was the main reason for choosing this location. Our dog had a blast! The restaurant on site is good and convenient Access to the hiking trails around the area is so easy and it’s perched right in the middle of a ski resort so walking the trails with our pup was a nice way to get some exercise in. Basics of what we needed were there (towels, linens, garbage bags, paper towel, some utensils, small fridge and pans). If I went again, I would bring an extra blanket and more pillows as well as my own towels. I have a very passive husband, so he was good with whatever he had. Cons The beds. The Murphy bed wasn’t horrible, but my husband and I wouldn’t comfortably fit on a full size with me so he slept on the sofa bed. Dennis did let me know the Murphy bed was more comfortable, but if you need to use the sofa bed, bring a foam pad or even a blow up mattress because it was extremely uncomfortable. It would be nice to just have one queen bed and a couch, although I’m sure it’s set up this way for added space. It was fine for us, but the fridge is just a small dorm size fridge so we brought coolers for drinks. The first night, everything on the top shelf of the fridge froze, so I changed the temp, but everything continued to freeze so just know that the fridge is cold. The microwave kept shorting out. We tried everything like plugging it in different outlets, unplugging everything else, resetting the outlet etc and only some buttons worked but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. Also, fyi, the coffee maker is a 4-cup size. It’s in need of updating. Again, going into it we knew it was nothing fancy, but just keep that in mind going in. Sliding door did not work, which also was not an issue for us. Overall It was fine for how much time we spent there. It’s definitely not luxurious, but for the price, pet friendly rooms, location and cleanliness, it was sufficient.

Would stay here again!
We had a great time here. We wanted to mostly feed ourselves rather than rely on restaurants and this place had everything we needed to make that happen. We did takeout from Moguls Grille plus our own sides for two dinners and it worked out great. The Murphy bed wasn't the most comfortable thing ever but we really appreciated the floorspace once we tucked it back into the wall during the day. We spent tons of time out on the balcony enjoying the sun and beautiful weather. We loved coming home to the pool after a long day of hiking. The resort was busy (lots of families, groups of adults, Lutsong music festival that weekend) but it never felt crowded and our fellow guests were pleasant. It's true that this place isn't "luxurious" but we had everything we needed to have our best long-weekend, hiking trip yet. We'd absolutely stay here again!

The unit we stayed in itself was clean enough, the halls and stairs were outright filthy. Dosen't set a great tone. The walkways were all broken up concrete, all patched and uneven trip hazards. The towels in the unit itself qere at least 15 year's old i would guess. Tiny and thin. The whole door should be replaced. Had to get door opened and closed. The pool area was nice, unfortunately only about a dozen chairs. So although we wanted to go sit down by the pool, there wasn't any chaiirs open. Same for alot of other guests

Nice Little Crash Pad
Came up for a bike race, which ended up being a cold, muddy affair, so I especially appreciated this unit's shower. Everything you need, and a nice view of the lake to boot. It wouldn't hurt to update the television or maybe just add a Roku or something so folks could use streaming services, but whatever. No complaints.

The location is awesome. It is SO nice to have such great access to the slopes. The unit is cozy. Nice fire place and deck. My wife and I slept on the queen sofa bed instead of the smaller Murphy bed. The sofa bed wasn't super comfortable, but it was fine. The unit was very reasonably-priced. Skiing at Lutsen can be hard to plan because the weather can be so unpredictable. We were glad that they got 8 inches of snow a couple of days before we arrived, but the cold and super windy conditions were definitely not the spring conditions that we were hoping for. We'll be back, though!
