“Needs updating but fun for a weekend”

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. The full-size fridge was a nice surprise. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with a very nice lady taking care of the trash and keeping the food stocked.”

“Bathtub had hair in it, the lady cleaned the room and it still had the same hair in the tub. Hotel smelled a bit musty and the ac wouldn’t stay on. Elevator floor had stains the entire duration of my stay. The front desk lady was very nice and the breakfast was good.”

“We booked a king size, downstairs, non-smoking. We were given a king size downstairs, very run down smoking room. We opened the door and closed it back and requested to be changed to a non smoking room. We were given an upstairs, double bed non-Smoking room. With a toilet that did not flush very good and the hint of the smell of smoke. The pool is out of commission, so if you are looking for a place with a pool, this isn’t it. It had more rig workers staying there, cooking outside their rooms……

“We have stayed here before as we visit relatives in San Angelo twice a year. If you like artsy gardens, art festivals outside your door, artist shops, nice rooms, with good people to meet, or just walking around the garden, this is a this is the place for you. Everybody is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and well stocked with snacks, coffee, or tea. This is not your typical Holiday Inn or Hilton. We left on a Sunday with no one renting our room that day, so there was no rush at all……

“My first room reeked of cat piss or cat gland spray. One ice machine on property did not work. I had itinerary confirmed from Expedia and lady at front desk said it did not go through. I said ok I will figure it out when I get home and gave her my credit card. Then she said it went through and canceled the charge on my card. When I was loading up my vehicle from 2nd floor my room key/card quit working and I did not want to go to front desk and leave my valuables unattended. I will not be……

“Everyone was so nice and welcoming!!!! Experience was excellent, checking in went smoothly, rooms were clean and beautifully designed, our pool and bar experience was amazing and enjoyable. The staff was so accommodating and made our last minute stay so wonderful.”
