". The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There were three people staying in the room, but there was only enough towels and face cloths for two people. I went to the pool with my toddler and there weren’t any towels. I went to the front desk to ask for some. The woman said she would be right down with towels. We got in the pool about 15 minutes later the toddler was cold and wanted to get out and there’s still weren’t any towels. We went dripping back to our room, freezing cold."

"Place was nice - mostly brand new things in the room. It was also clean enough. It would be a lovely place to stay in the summer! My biggest complaint was that they used something similar to a window curtain for a blanket."

"I stayed at the 1620 for the first time 2 years ago- for a work related conference. We chose not to rebook as the 1620 really needs a refresh. My stay this week confirmed my initial impression 2 years ago. There is def. areas of the hotel that need repainting. The bedspreads in the rooms are...shabby, stained. The lamps need to be updated (so you can charge phones/MACs). The bathrooms are fine. towels fluffy and white, but smelled of mildew. Staff were very helpful and kind."

"Staff was less than helpful in a very stressful situation. We did not end up completing the check in process for a pre-paid room and was denied a refund. The room was booked for 2 nights for business travel. We will not be using Hotels.com or Best Western services again due to the handling of this situation."

"Last minute stay. Charged rate higher than quoted on phone. Expedia advertised rate was more than walk in rate yet said $20 less for members. Used $29 Expedia credit and still paid same as walk in rate. Amenity fee confusing. Really just forced parking charge. Room was pretty clean. Some hair in bathroom. Pool and jacuzzi too crowded to enjoy. Even though off season. Comfortable bed. Fireplace was nice. Street noise audible 24/7. Great location to walk to beach and restaurants. "
