“We were most impressed about the outstanding friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Felt like in a Japanese Ryokan where the guest is king. One hick-up with the restaurant at the first night, which was charmingly fixed by the management.”

“This is a beautiful property with interesting history. The room was comfortable. The innkeepers are very gracious and helpful. While not located in the heart of the historic district, it’s a short walk away. Quite honestly, it’s better than being in the heart anyway - more quiet and easier parking. There is a fantastic bar just behind the house, and Snallygasters (best restaurant in town) is next door. ”

I opted to pay upon arrival, yet my card was charged in full 7-10 days before my stay without any explanation. Attempts to resolve this with hotels.com failed; they couldn't contact the company. A search for "Global Luxury Suites, Reston VA" revealed it didn't exist. I received...

“We so enjoyed staying at this inn. We didn’t know it was in a country club with access to several of the amenities of the club. The room was beautiful, the innkeeper was very accommodating and any of the staff we ran into were lovely. A short drive to the closest metro station, we spent a day in DC, & the 2nd day in the rolling hills of northern VA in wine country where we had good wines & enjoyed a lovely dinner at a recommend spot. We would stay here again. ”
