No trabaja el wifi en los cuartos, no trabaja el cable en la television, el lavabo del baño la presión del agua esta muy debil, y se sale el agua del walk in shower y hace un desastre en el baño. Y unos de los elevadores no trabaja. El hotel se ha caído mucho. Los pequeños detalles importan.

I’m not sure what happened this time around. Last time I stayed there everything was amazing! No complaints at all. I raved about this hotel when my husband and I decided to spend Christmas in Hermosillo! First the floor in the room was dirty. My husband got a used bandaid stuck to his toe when he tried turning the lamp off. The bathroom sink was clogged and for two days we had to wait for the water to go down before washing our hands or brushing our teeth. Then there was no heat in our room. When I called down they sent someone up hours later with a space heater and was told that the hotel doesn’t have central heat! The last night we were there one of the restaurants employees said that was a lie. That it was probably just not working in our room. We stuck it out because it was Christmas and we weren’t in the room but to shower, change and sleep

Over the past decade I´ve needed to spend a night in Hermosillo on several occasions, and the Fiesta Americana has always been my choice. My recent visit on Christmas night 2023 was the first time I was disappointed. Credit can be given for what is sure to be an ¨off¨ night, but I was surprised by the sight of four staff members chatting at the bar while two seated customers (I was one of them) were ignored in the dining area. Did the two customers need five wide-screen TVs blasting the football game? Is this the only hotel dining room that doesn't deliver a printed menu, but instead expects the guest to scan a computer code to read the menu in miniature on his cell phone? Did a crate of bottled soft drinks have to be displayed atop the bar rather than hidden below? Did I need to point out that my second glass of wine was fifty percent smaller than the first one? When did a large black plastic table appear in the dining room, bearing no resemblance to the wood grains and red upholstery of the other furnishings? On the positive side, my guest room was, as always, well-appointed, and I was grateful for permission to stay a few extra hours after check-out as I awaited an evening departure flight. Fiesta Americana´s glory – its public spaces – remain delightful. The front desk, bar area, and dining room blend seamlessly under a bright three-story atrium, the three functions melding gently without disturbing one another. The architecture compensates for a bit of sloppiness.
