Gorgeous hotel, very modern and everything looks so lovely. Sunsets are beautiful. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the food. I wasn’t blown away by it at all - even at the à la cartes.

I spent one week at Mitsis resort in October 2026. Unfortunately, despite booking a Superior Double Sea View room, my initial experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, I was allocated room 306 on the ground floor. The balcony faced the wall of another building, with no sea view at all (see photo). As this was not what I had booked, I had to complain to reception and request a room change. The next day, I was offered the only alternative, room 739 on the first floor, which at least provided a partial sea view. Room 739 had its own issues. There are five rooms on the floor, and the balconies are not properly separated (see photos) offering very little privacy. It was easy to see and hear all neighbouring guests chatting, smoking and spending time on their balconies. The lack of accessibility throughout the resort is to be aware of. There are no lifts, just stairs. It’s inconvenient even for carrying suitcases and can be problematic for guests with prams, pushchairs or wheelchairs. On a positive note, all the hotel staff and housekeeping were very nice, friendly, helpful and willing to assist. The main restaurant was decent, although I found the à la carte restaurants’ menus rather uninspiring. Overall, I would rate this resort three stars and I would not consider revisiting.

This place offers everything you need for a relaxed and chillax holiday. The food options are good if you eat meat. We had some dietary requirements and they chef did his best to meet the expectations. The evening shows are a good way to entertain yourself. Main pool is not heated, but I am sure in summaries it won’t be required. Overall accommodation experience was good. We had comfortable beds and fridge was well stocked with drinks both alcoholic and other beverages. Staff are really courteous and they do look after you really well. Highly recommend this place if you want to park and enjoy the Greek hospitality along with great views.

My siblings and I had a pleasant stay at Mitsis Rinela. The rooms were extremely comfortable, clean, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurants had a wide variety of food to choose from, and there was entertainment on every night we were there. Definitely a hotel to stay at during a visit to Heraklion.

Beautiful hotel, quick transfer from airport and friendly welcome. So lovely to have gifts for the children. Lovely sea view swim up pool. Clean, beautiful view and nice pool. Very clean throughout! Staff always willing to help but more staff needed to serve drinks as often long waits. Would have liked waiter service for swim up rooms. Lots of restaurants and snacks bars. Loved the beach bbq snack bar (kebabs were gorgeous), nice range of Pizza, fantastical waffles & crepier, Pan Asian & Tex Mex our favourite restaurants. Entertainment was ok, could have been more. Great variety of drinks & loved the Easter Sunday celebrations on the beach. Fantastic to be involved. Breakfast was good but would have liked more variety of fruit. Overall had a wonderful holiday. Loved the hotel, would visit again!
