Great stay will stay again
Very cute location. Very walkable to all location around Jefferson. My wife and I make a trip to Jefferson every year (5years now) will make this a regular stay. Owners are very communicative and kind.

Practically perfect in every way!!!
This lovely apartment in the upstairs of a brand new, but built in the style and sturdiness of an old, building is the absolute perfect getaway from the hustle-bustle. If you are spry enough, the spiral staircase is a super fun entrance and a bonus: it’s much nicer and bigger steps than the ones attached to really old buildings. Once up top, you will see that Carmen has thought of everything possible to make the stay comfortable. From the gorgeous antique furnishings, to the beautiful window shutters that make for a dreamy dark cool afternoon snooze on the sofa, to every kitchen amenity a traveler could need (coffee, water, sodas, snacks. And that balcony. It’s so lovely to sit out there and people watch, hear the quiet of the morning, or look out on the bayou on a lazy Sunday while the smells of the local courthouse bbq pit waft your way… it’s the perfect build in the perfect location. Spacious, lovely, and with a hostess who is relaxed and happy to help with any small requests at a moment’s notice. A steal of a deal not to miss!

This is our second stay at this location. The location is close enough to walk to all the major places of interest and far enough to be quiet. Carmen is great and has great communication. We love the antique bed and the balcony. We will stay here again.

Perfect location at the edge of everything
We were torn about writing this review for purely selfish reasons. After staying here, we didn't want anyone else to know about this hidden gem. (We can't wait to go back!). The location is great. This place is on the EDGE of everything, not in the middle of everything. If you are the window-seat type, you’ll appreciate access to everything without being right on top of everything. The building feels old but is newly built or meticulously renovated — and the furnishing design approach creates a good balance between fancy antiques and modern convenience. The kitchen was GREAT. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. It's not a full kitchen, so if you want to grill burgers, or make a big meal, this kitchen is not for you (it does have a microwave/convection oven). Snacks, drinks, and coffee are all we had. We spent a LOT of our time relaxing on the balcony watching the hummingbirds get nectar from the trumpet vines across the street. The patio is on the east side of the building, so even when it was hot, we had a shady, breezy place to unwind. Any knocks? Yes, and no. The only access is up a set of spiral stairs, which didn't bother us, but your situation may be different. Jefferson was founded as a train town, so light sleepers might find that the proximity to the intermittent train horn (including late at night) takes some getting used to. For us, it was all a welcome part of the experience.

Accommodations are top notch, and not having to eat breakfast on someone else’s schedule was even better. This unit is immaculately clean, the cozy bed is amazingly comfortable, and the location is conveniently perfect.

Great place!
We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were great to work with. Joe happened to be next door a couple of times and we got to visit with him about the progress of the adjoining property, as well as some of the things happening around town. Carmen texted a couple of times to make sure that everything was good. The decor is great. The room was clean and well kept. The balcony was very enjoyable, even on a hot Summer evening. I appreciate the attention to security. I am glad to share that the keyless entry is changed for each guest, and that there is also a deadbolt on the inside. I mention it because I have stayed a few properties that did not have these features. My only caution, and it did not bother us at all, is that this that the access to this second floor room is via a spiral staircase that could be difficult for some people, or if carrying large baggage. We greatly enjoyed this property and look forward to returning in the future.

Fantastic Rental
We came to Jefferson for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary. The property is awesome, beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had. The patio was excellent for evening relaxation. We were were in walking distance of everything. It was a great trip and I highly recommend this property.

This place was warm and inviting. I felt like my husband and I were truly pampered guests and were extremely impressed with so many special considerations given by the owner. Everything was spotless, appealing and roomy. The location was in the middle of everything that we wanted to do.

Stunning.. Elegant… Classy
Stunning, elegant, and very well done little place. Perfect proximity to locations. Amazing fit with a Victorian Texas vibe. Relaxing on the balcony is picture perfect. Only critique is there are no outlets in the bathroom to plug into. Suggest a power strip or something for ladies to plug in straighteners and other essentials. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking for a place downtown!

We were in Jefferson for a wedding at the Jefferson Hotel, and this rental was perfect! It's beautiful inside, we really enjoyed the patio in the evenings, and it's right in the middle of everything. We're already talking about coming back this fall!

Awesome location, awesome place
This is an awesome location in Jefferson. It's within walking distance to almost everything. Not only is the location awesome but the accommodations and owners are as well. Any questions I had for the owners were answered within minutes. When I say questions, I mean questions. There were no issues with anything. I have nothing negative to say about it, period. This is a very nice place to stay with everything you need. The balcony is great place to just enjoy the morning, afternoon or evening. In a nutshell, this is our go to place the next time we stay in Jefferson if we can get it. We definitely were not dissapointed.

This property is fantastic. Carmen is a great host and pays attention to details. Everywhere you turn there is a little extra - snacks, water, make-up remover pads, access numbers personalized for easy access, text check-ins, etc. etc. etc. I highly recommend this property for any couple looking for a great getaway.

Weekend getaway
This property was the cutest place. It was very clean and the owner was very attentive to our needs. It was to ice over the night we arrive so the owner came and salted the stairs to ensure we did not slip. The check in process was super easy as well as the check out. There drinks and snacks in the kitchen were a nice surprise. The location was perfect. We walked all around the town and had a great time.

Fun Weekend Getaway
Carmen is very responsive and provides a welcoming place to stay. She has all the essentials to make a comfortable home away. Such a cute place, with special touches. The most comfortable bed and great porch to have coffee. Walking distance to everything - shopping, history, and yummy restaurants. Highly recommend.

We were impressed with the property from the time we opened the front door. The room is beautifully done with antiques. The bed is like none I have ever seen before and comfortable. Modern amenities abound. The balcony was a great place to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine from Enoch's. The balcony overlooks the street to numerous shops and the historic Jefferson Hotel. McGarity's is a short walk as is the newly opened Haywood House. This property has a great mix of location and quiet. We highly recommend and will be back to stay again. Carmen is an excellent host and provides great communication. You can visit her at her shop in town, The Willow Tree.

We loved the antique furnishings, and enjoyed coffee out on the balcony each morning. The room was clean and well equipped, including water, soft drinks, snacks, coffee pods, dishes, etc. The antique bed was super comfortable. We were half a block from the main street containing restaurants, bars, and shopping; so we just left our vehicle in the driveway.

Love this place!
This place was very clean it had everything we needed and more. It was right in the middle of downtown Jefferson. Our car stayed parked the whole time. It was even a close walk to the bayou tour. Our favorite place to be was out on the balcony sipping wine and watching people walk by. We highly recommend this place to couples and we will definitely return!

Very Beautiful Suite .
The apartment is both beautiful and comfortable. The layout is very functional and beautifully appointed. The apartment was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is located in the heart of Jefferson, and is an easy drive to Caddo Lake State Park, Marshall , & Longview. The neighborhood is quiet. With dining near by. The veranda is very pleasant with out sacrificing comfort. Carmen and family are the perfect hosts! We felt like they were thinking of the their guests' needs at every step.
