Great Batch and place to stay. Really nice town
We had a lovely stay. Thank you. The only feedback would be that it became hot for two days since it was sunny and the temperature went up to 26 degrees. Maybe another pedestal fan would be a good idea during the summer.

Comfortable and clean
We all enjoyed our stay here in the peaceful gem of Kinloch. Close to lake and a short drive to Taupō. The place was very comfortable and clean. And it certainly had all that you would need in a kitchen. Outside area was a pleasant surprise. Communication with Jane, the host, was friendly and always quick to reply. Liked that even though she wasnt there she still took the time to message to see if everything was okay.

Wonderful peace and quiet
We really enjoyed this bach which gave us everything we needed. The only thing that slightly confused us was Bookabach saying “this information hasn’t been added yet” re Wi-Fi when “there is no Wi-Fi” would have been clearer; we resolved that issue by visiting a cafe in Taupo which was absolutely fine! Loved swimming in the lake and enjoyed coffee from the Volcanic kiosk by the marina … thanks Jane!

Stressful start
The check in process had us thinking we were sleeping in our car for the night. What was meant to be a relaxing weekend away was anything but. Not being able to contact owner after numerous phone calls and an hour on the phone to book a batch call centre put a dampener on our stay. The offer of a later check out to make up didn’t really make up for the stress. The accommodation itself was fine although the temperature inside on a hot day after room being locked up all day meant sleeping with the windows open required lots of bug spray. Aircon unit would have helped. On the positive side it was spotlessly clean and a very quiet spot to stay.

Thanks for your feedback and we completely understand your frustration regard getting later thsn agreed access on the day of your arrival. Now that we have the lock box access this won't happen to anyone else.

Recently stayed here & it was such a treat! The batch was perfect for us during our stay & soo close to the water. The owners were very approachable & kind! Was a weekend away with some friends & was awesome to find owners who didn’t judge us for our age. Will definitely come back to stay ☺️

Simple, clean and comfortable
Easy check in process, good communication from the host, clean and tidy and comfortable for us. for a small place it is very well laid out, good outdoor area, decent bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, we look foward to coming back. A couple of things to note that did not bother us to much but may bother others are some of the things other people have said in reviews + the top bunk is very spongy and the bunk frame is pretty worn out and loose, there is no shower consumables so bring your own (we always do anyway) and the steps are not well lit and slippery in the rain so could do with some attention. It does clearly state to bring your own bedding and linen however I would Expect the beds to have sheets/mattress protectors for hygiene purposes - they did not. We found the kitchen perfectly adequate so unsure why others were commenting on it (the fridge is definitely very noisy however). The place is warm and dry, very simple and homely and overall was an excellent stay with a great location- highly recommend

Lovely little Acorn
Kinloch is BEAUTIFUL! The property has a lovely court yard area to have a BBQ. It would be nice if there was some sort of lighting as we had to cook in the dark. Unfortunately the TVs speaker was static and we couldn't use it. Also the microwave kept stop working. We would definitely come back for another stay. Thanks for everything!

Detail attention
It was a beautiful location. Everything was nice and clean. We paid a lot of money, and feel that there are a few things that needs attention: The stairs from the carpark to the property is definitely not safe. The bedspread is not for use - it is too heavy and the small 'duvet' under it will not even cover one person. Small detail that needs to be added (we paid a lot of money) - there was no soap at the bathroom sink, no little bottles with shampoo in the shower. The place to hang your towel will not work in cold wet weather. There is no coffee percolator, just a something extra that other places have and you can enjoy proper coffee. The TV is at a horrible place. Coming back from a long day out, you cannot relax and watch a program comfortably. The carpet is busy rolling up and making a bubble on the floor right at the bed end. I know internet was not included in the price (again, paid a lot of money and this is just little detail that can be added), but in these days when you need to attend to something urgently on line, it is not possible. The freezer is not sealing properly and right through the night, the fridge kept on kicking in and making a lot of noise.

Not what I expected
Not enough crockery for the 4 of us. No stove. Top bunk bed had a piece of foam instead of a mattress. Maybe I have different standards, but definitely, this is not the place for me.

Beautiful location close to lake and shops/cafe.
Was an awesome little get away for me and my partner. Beautiful weather. Could maybe suggest a fan to be put in the room as we found the sun comes straight in and there was no air flow inside. Other then that we would definitely recommend as a place to stay if you need a get away. Thank you

Lovely clean little Bach had all we required for a weekend.Handy to the lake and marina.Only downside was there wasn’t a reasonable area to park boat or an area to leave our boat when we went into town.

Very basic
Garage converted to bach. Cooking facilities are a microwave, a bench top oven and toaster. Stayed with mates and the bathroom door doesn’t close all the way so not much privacy. Beds are extremely soft. The carport they give you is off Kenrigg road, not the road the address is for, we figured this out a bit late. Great location if you’re wanting to stay in Kinloch.
