Property is very nice and it at a convenient location to walk to the city center and there was a 7eleven and various dining options nearby. The staff was very nice and polite. The breakfast was very nice and had variety of option raging from western to local breakfast, and it was good. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool and the slide, but it seemed very nice. Our room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The only issues were that the water from the shower wasn't heating, but they sent someone right away and they fixed it. And we had to stay one more night and we spoke to front desk and reserved it online again, however we were moved to another room that was a little worse than the previous one and a little inconvenient.

A disappointing experience. Took a suite with jacuzzi. Thought it might be nice. shower head plugged, dismal buffet with many empty dishes 2 hours before the breakfast was over. Thai omelet was nothing more than plain eggs. Air conditioning was inadequate for the size of the suite and of course it turns off when you leave the room. The tap water is brown. At no fault of the hotel there is a large foul black water canal that is basically an open sewer. This could be smelt in the hotel. When we checked out they said.. “everything is ok” meaning we didn’t destroy or steal anything. How about “How was your stay?”. ….felt like we were leaving a police station. It’s a good hotel for Muslim guests as there is no bacon or ham only processed chicken products. Our stay was like two stays, first time and last time.

We really liked the location of this hotel but not much else. My boyfriend and I stayed here for six nights and the bed was as hard as a rock. The bed was so uncomfortable that by the end of our stay we both had back and neck pain. Another strange thing was when they would come clean our room we were left with no clean towels and no toilet paper. On several occasions I had to ask the lobby for more toilet paper, new towels, and hand soap as there was none when we arrived. Very strange.

Lovely Stay
I had a really nice stay here. Great location, 5-10 mins walk to the beach, markets and all the shops. Seven Eleven only 2 mins away. Staff very friendly, they helped me book my bus to Karon. My room was cleaned each day, great WiFi, they provide you with two beach towels and an umbrella. No English TV channels though but thr excellent WiFi makes up for it. The pool was great the slide is so much fun. Breakfast was nice and varied each day. Come after 09:30 and it's not busy. Only negatives were the noise of the other guests in the mornings at 06:30 screaming and banging on the door the hotel staff should do something abiut this.

Can’t fault it!
Great stay! The bed was extremely comfy and the room was a good size. Good facilities with 2 pools, and the breakfast buffet was brilliant!! Location is great in Aonang, with lots of restaurants and walking distance to beach and night market.

Nice hotel. Coulple of bugging points.
Hotel was a little out the way but not a big problem. We were at the latter end of breakfast one morning and there wasnt a lot to choose from. Hotel itself was nice. Room nice. The main thing that bugged me was the other people staying banging thier hotel room doors at 7am every morning. The doors are hefty with self then soft close doors. Some must not be working as that was what i was woken to every morning.

The Good: Breakfast was varied and plentiful The pool was nice, albeit a bit chilly initially Hotel overall was clean and serviceable Lots of stuff around: massages, mini-marts, restaurants, good night market food... beach is about a ten minute walk (although faster if you don’t have small children slowing you down ;) ) The Meh: Beds were very firm - a bit of a challenge to sleep on It took a long time for the rooms to be made up during the day They only give one key per room, and to get a second key you have to give a deposit of 500 baht. Mildly annoying if you and the person you share a room with decide to go separate ways, but it ended up not being too big of a deal. Most of the rooms overlook the pool, so noise can travel, but we were never unduly bothered.

Great Stay
Stayed here for 2 nights - Nice hotel in a good location just off of Ao Nang Beach, bear Ao Nang night market and lots of shops and restaurants. Perfect to enjoy the busy times without being too loud when you want to relax and sleep. Clean room and nice shower and bathroom, spacious. Bed is a little hard but apart from that a great stay overall!

Positively surprise! Good hotel in a good location
I was positively surprised by this hotel. It was very clean, the area was good, close to night bazar and restaurants. shops, massages etc. 10 min walk to Aonang beach. The area was laid back, so don’t expect wild parties. In Aoang Beach area were more bars open till late. Breakfast was fantastic! Nice buffet and live cook to prepare egg dishes. I had a superior room. It was great! The balcony didn’t have any spectacular view but it was big and cozy enough. I would give this hotel 4 star. The only one negative thing were the wake up calles.... once I got it an hour later and the other time, not at all. But it’s holiday... so it wasn’t too bad. I never used the swimming pool. It looked fine. Is taxed here 4 nights. Value for money - very good.

Wonderful stay.
Great hotel. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. A very relaxing and enjoyable time spent at the Aonang Viva Resort. I can't wait to return again.

Best place to relax, near to beach and market
Room was spacious. It had a balcony to sit and relax while sipping hot coffee. The resort has two pools, with one having cocktail bar access. Wardrobe contained two umbrellas and a beach mat. The beach mat was of great use for us.

Overall ok. Very clean and comfort. The Hotel is near from everything except Ao Nang beach..if by walk it takes 20 mnt. Better to rent motorbike for 200baht. Pool just nice to swim.

Close to aminities. The hotel has everything you need (safe, hairdryer, large toilet and big beds) but the toilet smells everyday due to drains. The hotel was in constructions (new swimming pool and lift) so there was constant noise at early times. It was very noisy in the evening in the corridors and staff wasnt bothered about it so it has to be your job to quiet your neighbours. Breakfast was ok for a 3 star but some essential things were missing. Overall a 3 start hotel

We had a pool access room which was very convenient to swim to the bar and only a few short steps away to breakfast.the staff couldn't do enough for us they are very helpful and always smiling .breakfast caters for all nationalities and there is a good snack menu aswell .rooms were cleaned everyday and bed was comfortable .i had read a few reviews which were not good and I honestly think some people complain for nothing . It's a 3 star hotel and it deserves more .the location was quiet so No loud music keeping you awake .( apart from my friend who snores so that was only noise I heard ) The beaches and bars are only minutes away and you don't get hassled in the street with vendors , the people are very nice and plenty of nice restaurants and street food stalls . Slot of people stop here fir a few days while travelling however we stayed 18 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Best Hotel Experience in Ao Nang
We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and the experience was amazing. The complex is new, bedrooms are very big and comfortable, bathrooms fantastic. We were impressed by the cleanliness. People at the reception desk are friendly and help you with everything. The pool is nice and the pool bar offers great cocktails (happy hour from 4pm to 7pm as well)! We also had lunch a couple of times at the pool and the food is delicious and cheap. Same for the breakfast buffet that was huge every morning. Ao Nang Viva Resort is in a good position, close to the shopping streets and to the beaches. Highly recommended for couple, friends and family.

Glad of a short stay
We found the hotel not to our liking. The bed was hard and also just two twins put together. The pool was freezing, small and somehow a bit salty??? The Wi-Fi was unusable from our room location (you have to login each time it disconnected, which was a lot). The rooms have paper thin walls as we found out by being woken up by the F1 on TV playing in the next room (I could hear it word for word). The area was OK. There were some shops and a okish beach (the sunsets pretty amazing there though). Good place if you like sea food as it makes up most of the menus. Breakfast was nice and on par with others we have had in Koh Samui.

Great Stay for 2 days
We stayed here for 2 days when we first arrived in Thailand, it's a brand new hotel so the facilities were great. Wifi was everywhere, bathroom was clean. It's a 10 minute walk from Aonang beach and then a 25 minute long tail to Railay. The staff were fantastic and organised our transport to Phi Phi. Breakfast was also really good, as they cooked fresh eggs. Only complaint is that its next to another building site, but we didn't really notice.

VERY NOISY! (But otherwise okay)
This is a decent enough hotel. The problem for me was the amount of noise. On the third night, a bus load of tourists we're checking into the hotel at 3:30am and showed absolutely no respect for other guests trying to sleep. The amount of noise was just awful, with people screaming and shouting and running up and down the corridors, slamming doors, shouting etc. I asked the guests politely to be quiet but to no avail. When I complained to the reception desk, there was nobody there empowered to do anything, and so I had to call back several times to get hold of the manager. I eventually came down stairs to speak with the manager on the phone. Sadly, the rest of the staff thought it was funny that I was complaining and apparently could not understand what the problem was. This wasn't the only occasion when noise was a problem. There were frequently screaming children outside my door around 6am, as well as noisy guests slamming doors. Aside from noise, I have no other complains and everything else was good. If you're here to party or don't mind noise, then this hotel might be a good choice for you. Another thing you need to be careful about is mixing this hotel up with Aonang Villa Resort (this one is Viva). I was actually trying to book Aonang Villa Resort when I clicked through to Expedia from Trip Advisor to make the booking. However, instead of seeing information for Aonang Villa, Expedia showed me the details for Aonang Viva. Next time I'll be more careful.

The hotel was nice and clean with sweet people to help you. The breakfast was a little boring, but the food from the pool bar was delicious, especially their smoothies!
