I give it a 5 star staff are super nice place is nice and clean looks like it has been recently remodeled there’s a river right next to the property that is accessible with spots to barbecue & burn wood enjoying a nice late afternoon definitely recommend and definitely coming back for another get away by the way it’s super affordable 😄

Had a great time staying at Sierra Inn during a fishing trip. The rooms are renovated and everything was clean and working well. It's been very quiet and peaceful during the night and you can hear the river flowing outside. Behind the motel there's a beautiful patio area with grill and picnic tables right by the river which we gladly used during our stay. Would stay here next time I'm around the area.

Great, check experience! They were snacks games and we were even offered a soda or beer! The location is beyond my expectations… We are located about 25 feet from the south Fork of the American river, and we can see it out our window and are only a few steps away. Incredibly peaceful Will be back

Comfortable and clean stay! Very satisfied!
The location is only 30 mins away from Sierra and yet it’s not so cold that it’ll snow. I was not expecting much since it’s just an inn, but I was so wrong! The front desk was very friendly and efficient, and even offered us free beer. I was expecting smelly old carpets in the room, but was I wrong again! It’s laminated floor, with good heating, everything is clean and neat. The bed was soft but the low and firm pillow made complementary comfort for my sound sleep. There are fridge and microwave and coffee maker in the room. I love the drawer underneath the sink in the bathroom that gave extra storage space. Except tissue, everything is provided and in good condition. There’s bonfire setup for guests in the front yard. I had a very good stay!

It was very clean facility and the room. It's very convenient when you ski at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort. Only one thing I want it to fix is shower didn't get that hot enough for our family. It was warm enough to get shower but the water temperature fluctuated getting cold sometimes.

Our hotel room in the woods
We come up here every month. Like our close to Sacramento, overnight get away. New owners started renovating over a year ago. It's at the snow line, so snow can be optional, depending upon when you stay. Owners and staff treat you as friends and family. The grounds are in nature with the river at the property line. Fire pits, barbecue pits, fridge and microwave with many bed configuration options. Nice sheets and comforters. Heaters and air conditioning.

The motel is located right on the banks of the south fork of the American river. We chose it for its location. It turns out that the motel is extremely comfortable as well. The owners are renovating for the coming winter season, and the furnishings and installations are comfortable and modern..

Right on the river with great access and lovely surroundings. Still renovating and we got to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. Very comfortable bed was a plus. Ate up the street a Korean restaurant and breakfast next morning right near the Sierra Inn. Will definitely stay again.

Clean and Cozy...
Very typical motel setting. Great value considering what others are asking. The rooms were clean and recently remodeled. The shower was gross. It's missing a full length mirror and the only charging plug is in a wall outlet that doesn't work. Bring a 110 adapter. A note next to the bed says be sure not to move the bed any closer to the wall heater or you could end up as a burnt marshmallow. I would never be in that bed, as my head would be 2 feet from the heater. Can't imagine this being comfortable to sleep next to. They have a stand alone heat pump in the room, which is a little noisy and a bit odd, but again...it gets the job done. The mini fridge was a nice touch. I spent a little time relaxing by the river, which was awesome! They provide chairs and fire wood if you want to make a fire, which was also very nice. I was visiting friends, and really only needed a room to sleep in, so if you're looking for no frills and decent accommodations, I highly recommend it. I'd stay again.

You would think guests would not need instructions on not putting furniture and fabric ON the heater, alas some people need such instruction. We do keep marshmallow toasting for the outdoor fire pits. Thank you for choosing Sierra Inn!
