The hotel had a view of the harbor, with walkability to both the harbor and for shopping and restaurants. Also an easy walk to the train station. Everything was clean and modern.

The staff was super helpful, the location is great near the historic center with lots of shops and great restaurants. Parking is very convenient as well as access to the central train station. Will definitely stay there gain on my next trip.

Great Location / Walkable to various shopping and restaurants. Close to the boardwalk and Sea. Great on site restaurant with beautiful sea views. Rooms clean, new and renovated. Highly recommend.

It is a great place to stay at. It has a beautiful ocean view close to the cruise ship port. The breakfast buffet is worthy to pay. The staff very helpful and friendly. The only issue was that the air conditioner temperature was to hot and we couldn’t regulate the way we want it. We had to leave the window open but we don’t complain about it because ir was a seven floor and the breeze was nice.

nice hotel ruined by unusable free wifi
Very expensive hotel that I am not sure is really worth the money. Average sized rooms with pretty standard facilities. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Massive downside is the useless and unusable free wifi. Usable wifi is charged. This is unacceptable in a 2023.

Terrible internet. Advertise parking “available which means public parking. Restaurant on roof closed other restaurant limited times and even access. Near the port for ferries but no restaurants outside in immediate area but little pizza and cafes. Far from train station. Disappointing value

Don’t use the bar!!
We stayed at the NH La Spezia for 3 nights. We went to the bar in the afternoon after returning from sightseeing and in the evening after our meal. The barmen (Cristiano and Guido) were almost disappointed to see us. We were never made welcome at all. On one occasion we were told there was no ice for our drinks but then ice miraculously appeared. 1 out of 10 for service. Very disappointing. We made the reception staff aware of the issue but they weren’t in the least bit interested. All in all we feel the staff let the hotel down. We will not be staying again.

Worst hotel ever
I booked a standard double room. Was placed in the attic in a dirty not refurbished room with a single bed, that was dirty. I asked to get a room with the standard I had paid for, included the double bd and the receptionist refused and was not nice.

Hotel had excellent breakfast buffet also good dining for lunch & dinner on the terrace. Very easy walk from cruise ship to our hotel. Newly renovated rooms. Would definitely stay here again. All employees we encountered were nice and helpful.

The hotel bar and restaurant are excellent and food lovely, the room was comfortable but old and needed major update. A concert was on over the weekend so loud for the evening which staff did not advise. Good overnight stay if going on cruise as convenient walk to port and marina

This hotel was great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It is close to the water and offers comfortable rooms. The room view was a bit narrow and not great, but was better than some of the other hotels we stayed in. Breakfast and the bar was average so not disappointing there. I wish it had a pool.

Cinque terre visit
The hotel is very simple, definitely not 4 stars, it reminds motels in us…it was ok for short stay, plus, we expected that from other reviews so there was no expectations gap. We picked the hotel for the location and parking and it was a good choice. We stayed in superior room on 7th floor and the views were stunning. Bare in mind that the window is not too big and it’s not possible to fully open it. Terrible hot water pressure in the bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located near the marina, short walk to the old town and about 1.5 km from train station. If your are going to 5 terre you can take boat or train. The parking is in a garage near the hotel, about 2 minutes walk. Not too bad. You must stop at the hotel and pick up parking card first.

I had a number of issues while I was checking in, one being how the receptionist kept answering the phone whilst trying to check me in. He did this on three times and apologised each time. I found this to be extremely rude i’m not at the level of customer service expected for NH hotel. Very very disappointed.

Disappointed in NH La Spezia!
The water out of the facet was brown - disgusting. The front desk was "market deaf" in that we complained about the water being brown and they acknowledged there was a problem. Then they were nice enough to say we never paid for breakfast - we had 2 rooms for $400 ($200/each)!! So we had to pay an additional 45 Euro for breakfast. So needless to say, very disappointed in this hotel. We stay 200 nights a year on business in hotels all over North America - would never stay here again - they simply did not care. We have been to Italy over 80 times.
