"We had such a wonderful stay at the Pontchartrain Hotel in New Orleans! From the moment we arrived, the valet staff set the tone—they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and so quick to help. The front desk staff was just as kind, making check-in smooth and easy. The real standout was the restaurant team, who went above and beyond to make our family (especially our little girls) feel cared for. The service was thoughtful, and the food was excellent—the famous Mile High Pie is an absolute must-try! The hotel itself is beautiful, in a lovely area where we felt safe walking around. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with one of the best showers and bathrooms we’ve ever had in a hotel, and the beds were wonderfully cozy after a long day of exploring"

"The hotel is over a largish site. We stayed over the pool which was lovely and clean. In the evening it stayed open till 10pm. Rooms have fridge, hairdryer, microwave. Ice machine on bottom floor. Streetcar stop outside great location but want quiter than middle of New Orleans "

"This is an excellent choice in New Orleans, especially if you have reason to be in the Garden District. The building and grounds are stunning, and lots of nooks to relax around the property, including the pool and courtyard. Also, there are a variety of eating and drinking options, all good. One note is that unless you like to walk (we did), or take cars, it’s not particularly convenient to the French Quarter. So, if your visit includes being in that area much of your stay, you may want to consider another option. "
