"Very kind, accommodating staff. Upgraded my room without asking. Allowed me early check-in upon arrival. Right at the end of Bourbon Street which was perfect for walking the city. I would stay here again! "

"This was probably the worst hotel I have stayed at. There are simply no real amenities at this hotel. I asked the desk if I could buy a soda and was informed that there was no store on the premises, nor were there any vending machines. I asked about a bottled water, again no bottled water available. The staff never mentioned that there was a store down the street. As far as room service, they only service the room once per week according to the staff. There was supposed to be a light service daily, replace towels etc... The towels were never replaced. I had to ask for towels each day. The room was very dated and the furniture was old. The sleeper was in bad shape. Totally was not expecting this. Ridiculous. Never again will I ever stay at a Sonesta Hotel. This comment is also going on Google. "

"Its location, location, location with this place; historic and opulent but sometimes hit or miss. This time kind of a miss with a tiny room next to a storage room that staff was banging around in early each morning and during day. Food is okay, best to eat out, but nice to have a reliable backup plan."

"Terrible Staff. I arrived at the hotel around 3pm Front desk informed me that my room was to be ready @ 4pm. Which is totally understandable. I did arrive early. I came back to the hotel at 4. And still they claimed the room was not ready. 4pm is check in time. Front desk said “We will call you on your phone once it is ready Sir”. They never bothered to call me back, I called the customer service line and they hung up. lol. I’m not the type to be rude or cause a scene. But I did press them by 6pm to get my room ready. It was disheartening because I sat for 2 hours in the lobby watching others check in to their rooms with ease as they arrived. My room was delayed until 6:45pm. I was late for a dinner reservation because of this. This was my first experience in New Orleans. It was Mardi Gras weekend, and I understand that things happen especially during a holiday season like that. But it was the unprofessionalism of how the staff treated me. Not once did they show empathy or try to offer any concessions. You will be able to see all the action in the French Quarter right from your hotel room window. The location is perfect, the building is historical. And other than the rude front desk staff. It was overall a good place to stay."
