This place was just what we wanted. Remote but with easy access, land to explore, games to play, rocking chairs for reading, a roomy and accommodating kitchen, and even a television to aid in a nap.
We aren’t sportsmen but it didn’t matter. The rustic warmth of the house was enough to make us feel like we just returned from a successful hunt. We played bird games, drank cocoa (prepared on the large stove), ate ice cream, and rallied together with family and friends to bring in the holiday season.
“A post Thanksgiving birthday getaway at the camp” could be a new family tradition as the host was so accommodating and extremely prompt on communication. We wanted for nothing and were able to relax…and rock (on the porch)…in a chair.
