    Intriguing Cities and Varied Landscapes

Louisiana is considered a state of lowlands, with its highest region near Arkansas rising only to approximately 535 feet. In fact, much of New Orleans is around 15 feet below beach and sea level. There are many scenic rivers such as the Red River, the Ouachita, and the colorful Teche and Macon bayous, all of which are dominated by the Mississippi River. There is much to explore in city life as well, like that in the active urban hubs of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport. Baton Rouge, the state's capital city, celebrates Louisiana's unique diversity of history and culture with its outstanding annual arts festival, Fest For All. Shreveport is known for its warm hospitality, world-class gaming facilities, and innovative film industry. Plan your trip to Louisiana today, and visit Expedia.com for the best flights to Louisiana. You will make the most of every moment in exciting, colorful, but leisurely southern style.

Stayed at Sam's Towns multiple times and has always been a good experience. The staff is friendly, helpful and overall a pleasure to deal with. The room for this stay was not as clean or well maintained as the rooms of my previous stays. I will stay again and I am assuming this is not normal since my previous visits the rooms were better.

    "Nice Hotel on the River"
We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The room was very clean and nice, the staff all very friendly, and the view of the river was nice. The only problem was with the Casino...way to small, and didn't have any of our favorite slots to play. The buffet was very good, but our waiter wasn't very attentive, but to be fair it was rather busy. Over-all, we'd rate our experience at Margaritaville a good one!
