The typical Louisiana motto for your visit is ""come as you are, leave a different person."" You are invited to make your own music and improvise with the amazingly talented locals. Louisiana is appealing during any season of the year. Whenever you visit, you will be mesmerized by the intriguing rhythms and tunes of jazz and ragtime, lively zydeco, rousing rockabilly, and soulful gospel. Spring is fragrantly alive with newborn flowers, and autumn brings the beautiful natural palettes of subtle, cool transition. The entire state has a median yearly temperature range of 41 degrees Fahrenheit in January and 91 degrees in July. Whatever season suits you best, travel deals to the state abound, so visit Expedia.com today and book your discounted or cheap flight.

There are too many exciting festivals in Louisiana to count. After the exhilarating Mardi Gras parade and lavish masked balls and parties come the springtime festivals. At the Stephens African American Museum in Shreveport, you can experience the rich, creative history of African Americans through art, music, crafts, dance, and cooking. At the Abita Mystery House in Abita Springs, affectionately called UCM (you-see-'em), you can view everything strange and mysterious, from obscure folk art to alligator hybrid animal sculptures known as ""dogigators."" During your stay, you will be compelled to sample Louisiana's colorful cuisine, including crawfish, gumbo, and jambalaya, a meat and rice recipe similar to paella.

    Intriguing Cities and Varied Landscapes

Louisiana is considered a state of lowlands, with its highest region near Arkansas rising only to approximately 535 feet. In fact, much of New Orleans is around 15 feet below beach and sea level. There are many scenic rivers such as the Red River, the Ouachita, and the colorful Teche and Macon bayous, all of which are dominated by the Mississippi River. There is much to explore in city life as well, like that in the active urban hubs of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport. Baton Rouge, the state's capital city, celebrates Louisiana's unique diversity of history and culture with its outstanding annual arts festival, Fest For All. Shreveport is known for its warm hospitality, world-class gaming facilities, and innovative film industry. Plan your trip to Louisiana today, and visit Expedia.com for the best flights to Louisiana. You will make the most of every moment in exciting, colorful, but leisurely southern style.

"In the Quarter Close to Frenchman"
We wanted a boutique hotel in the quarter to provide an experience of being close to things. There is a great pastry shop, Croissant D'Or just down Ursuline . They have the best Croissant I have had outside of Paris. There is a nice neighborhood bar we sat and watched the Saints came in not too far away. Each evening after dinner we walked over to Frenchman street for live music and then didn't have far to walk home after. The hotel is unique and our room was nice. My only hesitatiion is about related to location to plug in my phone and ipad each evening. The plugs were not convenient except for in the bathroom.

The hotel staff was suoser sweet and the breakfast was amazing ... The only reason I didn't give the hotel a five was the bathroom, they don't have a fan so there is rust on the floor and bubbles on the ceiling. I would 100 percent stay here again!!!
