    "I would book here again!"
This was our first trip to NOLA so I don't have much to compare this hotel to but I would certainly return here again. The good: Friendly helpful staff, very comfortable beds, nice restaurant with really good food, centrally located within close walking distance to everything, nice pool and area around it. In the middle: Our Room had a spot for a fridge but no fridge...didn't complain about it to the Front Desk as it wasn't a big deal (just kind of odd). The room and hotel are old but it is in the French Quarter where everything is old. The hotel didn't really show its age but the carpets certainly were well worn. The room was mostly clean with the exception of some dust on the lights. We certainly didn't feel the room was dirty. The bathroom was older for sure. The bad: Really our only bad experience was with a Sunday Brunch where the service could have been much better but that's it. Overall I would book here again. For what it's worth, as I said above, this was our first trip to and stay in New Orleans' French Quarter so I don't have anything else to compare it to.

    "Wonderful honeymoon"
We chose Bourbon Orleans for our 5 night honeymoon stay and are very happy we did. We arrived earlier than the check-in time and the hotel was so full that we had to wait a few hours before our room was ready. But the wait was worth it! We were upgraded to a 2-level room with a spacious seating area and balcony (which my husband was particularly thrilled about), mini-fridge both in the bedroom and living room...AND they gifted us a complimentary bottle of champagne! The receptionists, doormen, housekeeping staff staff were ever so attentive and pleasant greeting us every time we came and went. It was a nice option to have the bar and live music available every night although we only visited once. There are so many restaurants nearby that we never ate at the hotel so I can't provide reviews on their food, sorry. Although I did have their white chocolate bread pudding with whiskey chocolate sauce which was pretty good, not overly sweet. We hope to visit again.

    "Hotel convenient to LSU campus"
The hotel is conveniently located to the campus of LSU in Baton Rough, LA. The staff was courteous and the "free" breakfast was very good. However, our the carpet in my room was dirty and heavily worn, the bathroom floor was dirty, the tub had mildew, and the room was not cleaned nor were bath towels replaced the day following my first night's stay. At check out the desk clerk said she appreciated my comments about the room and she would bring it to the attention of the house cleaning staff.

"Could have been cleaner, but not bad overall"
There was a Lion's Club convention there the weekend we stayed, so we had to take what was available which was a handicap accessible double queen room. If I were in a wheelchair, it would have been hard to get around because the room was too small. Overall, wasn't bad for me and my husband, but it could have been cleaner. My bed was SUPER COMFY!!! I slept like a baby.
