Very friendly and helpful service, convenient location. The bed in my room was very uncomfortable and there was a lot of street noise, but I asked to switch rooms for the second night and though the room was smaller it was much quieter and the bed was very comfortable. Basic furniture and breakfast, motion-sensitive lights didn’t always work, but worth the very reasonable price.

The room was nice and clean and the staff was awesome and very friendly. They opened up the bar just for us so we could have a beer. The location was good for the Plaza de Armas and Parque Pino along with stores and restaurants nearby. We were able to walk to the harbor and enjoy the local sights. It was a very nice stay!

Close to everything.
The service was impeccable; when we arrived, we were able to order room service and have it brought promptly. The room was quite a bit older but it was in a perfect location. It was a great place to stay for a one night visit to Puno. The staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Good place in Puno
Great hotel to check out Puno from. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, but not amazing. Secure parking is a plus. Good room for the price.

We had a great one day (24 hour) stay! I can't think of anything to complain about regarding the property or room itself. I was a little annoyed that I had to pay extra for two of my three kids (they enforced a strict one person per bed rule), but it was still worth it since I had booked a great price well in advance.

This was nice hotel to stay at as a transfer point from Cusco to La Paz. Most visitors will stay here to maybe visit Uros Island. This was probably the worst tour I have taken....it was very staged and it felt like they were begging for money. If you do the tour, don't go on the boats because all they do is paddle to the middle of the lake, then ask you for some money and a power boat pushes you back into shore. Very disappointing. I would not recommend the tour at all. The hotel was a nice change because it had a tub and hot running water. Great staff. Puno itself do not have much to offer though, so a single night is probably more than enough.

Had a great time at this hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was well stocked and a great value. Plenty of food and beverages and well maintained. The hotel itself is on a quiet street and the neighborhood is also quiet. I had no problem sleeping at night. I would recommend this hotel with 5 stars.

A hotel with character. Our room was tucked in a far corner, so was quiet. Decent breakfast. We were only there one night, so didn't have a chance to check out the local area. Good value for the money.

Good hotel close to the main street.
The qelqatani is a grand old lady, close to the main shooping and restaurant area in Puno. It has its own restaurant that serves delicious food at slightly higher than outside prices. The breakfast is good and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The Hotel is good, clean, relaxing, peaceful but wifi connection was a bit of a challenge and if the music in the restaurant was more mellow it will be better. But otherwise we come back over there.

Read the fine print
We booked the room thinking it was a good price Canadian a night and once we clicked okay we got message that second person was going to cost us double Canadian a night on top of the original. It would have been cheaper to book 2 single rooms and not using one of them than what we ended paying for a basic room.

The staff was really helpful whenever we needed anything. When our converter didn't work, they loaned us theirs for a long as we needed it. The breakfast was very good. They helped us confirm our tours and got us any messages. It is around the corner from Lima street with all kinds of restaurants and bars and shopping. It's only 2-3 blocks from city center.

Good location and price.
My boyfriend and I are from Canada and recently took a trip to Peru. We stayed one night at Qelqatani and had a good stay there. The hotel is an older building and is quite dark inside, but we stayed in a large room (junior suite) for a decent price with a king size bed and were very comfortable. Puno is quite cold at night but the room had a portable heater so we were able to sleep no problem. Coco tea and breakfast is included in the price. We had our laundry done here and it ended up being quite expensive so I would recommend going elsewhere for laundry service or just put in a very small load. The hotel staff spoke very little English. Two bottles of water were included in the room which is always nice, and we were able to store our bags there overnight while we went on a tour of Lake Titicaca. Location is great- less than 5 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas.

A comfortable hotel near main plaza and shops etc of Lima Street. Room was warm although minus temperatures outside. Help yourself coca tea in foyer. Gave us early breakfast before our airport pickup at 6.00am.

Surprisingly good hotel in Puno
Clean, comfortable & relatively modern hotel in the center of Puno. I liked almost everything over there. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly. WiFi is working. Room is nice. What else can you desire in Peru.
