The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. "Apartment was really nice, roomy and comfortable, ideal for two couples. I wouldn't recommend it for families with kids due to proximity to a bar and noise in the evening. Only other niggle was that while the apartment was well kitted out in general, we had to go out and buy hand wash and toilet roll. Not ideal if arriving late and those are expected provisions in my mind. Overall though, I would recommend as handy central location and it was in good condition. View from the living room was...

"We love this site in Windermere and Top Lodge was a pleasure to stay in. The rooms were all clean and the beds were comfortable. Looked for a pet friendly option and this was perfect for us. The weather wasn't great and so we watched alot of TV, the only downside was the signal was poor but hey, nothing major."

"Location of the hotel very good, room was clean and well appointed, the evening meal was tasty and the service excellent. The problem came the next morning, cooked breakfast took an hour to arrive, without sausage. No real explanation until it arrived and no genuine apology. There was also lipstick on the glass that I had pored orange juice into and when I pointed this out all I got was oh dear and a giggle.we also wanted to leave early and this waiting around kept us back, . disappointing end to our stay."
