“Wonderful place to stay, a true country guesthouse. Easy 10 minute walk from Ambleside. The mountain view from my room was stunning, watching the evening sun over the Fairfield Horseshoe. So peaceful, the only noises you'll hear are sheep and birds. Highly recommended.”

“Lovely place to stay and in a very good location. It has a lovely aesthetic and there was drinks and cake for guests waiting. I would leave a note for guests arriving early that they can leave their cars in the car park before check in as my partner kept going back to check with someone (anxiety) and there wasn't anyone around to ask. We stayed in the stargazer room which was quite small but cozy. My biggest issue with the room was the bed is noted as king size but it seemed like a double at……

“Hotel is about 1 miles along a single track road , the water board closed the road , and to get on to main road you had to drive about 4 miles on single track , which was very scary , Hotel had not put any signs up saying about closer , and was no help at all Breakfast was excellant , tried to book resturant on last , was told they had a party and could not fit us in , they had plenty of tables not being used , we pointed out we were clients staying , but no”

“The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.”

“Natural site, room is in high standard. The host is friendly and his cooking for breakfast is appreciated. Though it takes 15 minutes walk from bus stop, the way around is full of natural feeling. You may breathe a natural smell or listen to sheep voice. It's an excellent experience and will highly recommend my friends to visit and myself is highly and likely to revisit again. ”

“Parking space was a great plus. A nice old traditional pub with plenty tables outside. Bed comfortable enough for one night stay. Good, powerful shower. Delicious full english breakfast. Dining room was a little fusty and in need of a some TLC and the evening meal was a bit overpriced for what it was but still an overall charming stay in this gorgeous location. ”
