"It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river."

Cottage is a little old fashioned, and needs a bit of TLC but the basics are all there and some nice touches- milk in fridge, bread, butter, eggs, tea coffee etc supplied. Would stay again as reasonably priced for what it is."

We had to buy garbage bags, soap, salt and pepper, even toilet paper, etc. morning was stocked. Amazing amount of dishes/cookware in the kitchen, but that was it. "We much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Fantastic location and great walks from the door. Also not as busy as many other parts of The Lakes. Hotel was very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and we ate in the hotel a couple of nights. Food was very good though menu a little restrictive if you were staying more than two or three nights intended to eat in the hotel throughout your stay. We’d definitely return."

"The staff working in the lounge and dining room were very friendly and helpful and made our experience extra lovly Nice hotel with the grounds being extra beautiful - fabulous views Breakfast was ok Didn’t think it was great not having bar open between 5 and 9 as we had to go to the dining room lounge for service - I did think the bar wasn’t manned very well but the staff were lovly and seemed rushed off their feet Bedroom was clean and bathroom too and really nice sizes too Location was perfect"

"The hotel was very well maintained and super clean one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in the Uk, the staff went above and beyond and were very accommodating they kept our luggage as we planned a hike and the breakfast was lovely too. We hadn’t had the time to use the spa facilities or anything else. We would recommend this hotel as everything is super close and convenient. Thank you to all the staff"
